EA Conference Call touches on MEA's reception & future ME movie.

As long as they're positively talking about a movie, that's good news. Unlike Naughty Dog, whom aknowledges the Uncharted and Last of Us movies are in development hell.

And it's good of EA to acknowledge the metacritic snow, but still have an eye out for the fanbase!

I like how they not once mentioned story, characters, or dialogue when it came to what mass effect is. Guess people are right when they say the franchise is catering more to multiplayer and streamlined combat gears of war style, I can't stick to this franchise if that's what their focus will be :/

It is nice seeing them delay the future IP half a year to a year though, at least shows they're wanting to make sure it's ready but I'd like to at least see what is is instead of being in the dark for another year or two.

If what we got is catering to MP, I'd hate to see them half ass it. Because the MP like the rest of the game is a fucking joke.

I'm sure they'll leave the story and writing to Bioware. 

That is good news to hear. MEA2 is coming along the way then hopefully with more refined combat and a better UI for crafting.

at first he said andromeda itself represents story, among the other things he mentioned. Later on though he says andromeda does things that "make mass effect great". Was combat ever a thing that made the series great? It improved game by game yes, but great? The multiplayer has only been in one game before andromeda and we're saying great? ME3 multiplayer is far behind other games with multiplayer when it comes to a population and there are various games that do better with the horde mode mass effect imitates. Was mass effect ever known for its graphics and looks as well? Again, it improved game by game, but was it ever top tier with other AAA titles(excluding andromeda cause FB3 is fucking gorgeous and I can make a case for it being top tier)?

EA found backers for the movie. That's a start and a big one. 

I doubt that. Seriously, I doubt that. If they do, it would be awesome and a surprise, but yo... you know they're going to put someone connected to the movie industry to write the script.

Exactly. Picture Wilson as a Hutt and he's on conference call with other Hutt. If they're okay, then all is okay. Andromeda, at least, will be developed fully like Inquisition.

My bad. Well yeah, you would hope so, right? I have nothing against the overall writing, but it's the lack of polish that I found so... wrong. I think Bioware is tired of hearing that phrase over and over again. I'm sure there are developers that are driving home that point every day while they sit down at their workstations trying to untangle the mess that is called Frostbite.
