It hasn't been 2 months. If you count today's patch, that's three patches in less than 2 months. Right there is 11 days until full 2 months, three patches? Version 1.04 was released before the game release, only 1.05 was released after that, and now also v1.06 but I still don't get it on Origin. Yes, three patches. That's how many times the game has been patched. Sorry about your problems with Origin, but that does nada to change the patch count.

Nah, it will be released later today as I just read, and I still see 1 patch after game release or 2 if we count today's patch. I hope it will be good at least.
Ah, patch 1.04 was included in early access 16 March, then 1.05 in April and now 1.06 in May.

I don't understand,Andromeda became a social joke on release,the writing is poor,the characters are poor,assets/models are shamelessly reused (asari etc),bugs,glitches,animations and on and on.....and yet people here are still willing to listen to EA's blatant PR bullshit.
If you read what's actually written,EA makes no commitment to anything beyond free Mass Effect multiplayer content......everything else is just PR filler.

While the news of the new IP being an online thing made me lose interest entirely, I don't see why this is some kind of death knell to their creating story-driven games, since this wouldn't be the first time they've done this, and their 2 big singleplayer-centric IP's are still going.

The CEO said ME:A performance had nothing to do with pushing the new IP back, but obviously it did. I think they know they have to get this one right at release. It's pretty big when you push something into the next fiscal year, they didn't do it on a whim.

You don't see me asking the makers and fans of Street Fighter to implement and accept a dialogue system, do you?! You can if you wish. Look, I didn't ask BioWare to start making the focus more on combat and MP. I wasn't even planning on it being in ME3. It happened though, and I liked it. I see no point in going back on something they do pretty well considering. Just because they are putting more focus on it doesn't mean your story side will have to take a back seat. They can have both at the same time. Only it clearly has. Can both be done? Sure, but Bioware no longer has the talent to do both.

They can go fuck themselves too. Let's not get snarky with the multiplayers. Since ME3 it's been an important component of Mass Effect. The single player game is more important, but I would consider the multiplayer component an essential part of a Mass Effect game now. I'm taking Wilson's words as a sign of more Mass Effect and that's no bad thing in my view. Important to EA/Bioware because that is where the MT is at. That is almost a must for all EA games.

The Destiny hype was great and I bought into it. But I should have bailed out early, just like the lead writer, Joseph Staten did when Activision dropped a ton of money (1 billion) on Bungie and the game changed drastically from what Staten had plotted out. It too was going to be story based with a tenative 10 year life - except what was left of the story was pretty mangled on release.
I'm curious exactly how this new EA/BioWare IP will 'leverage EA's network' (I didn't know they had one); or what they expect with 'cross-platform presence' (which suggests to me that they don't really know their audience and trying the shotgun approach). All those phases sound like corporate-speak presented to shareholders.
And speaking of Dylan, "the times they are a changing." I wish them success, but I'd neither buy EA shares or into this new IP until long after it's been on the market. I'm still waiting for innovation in Andromeda...

Don't mind the tack on of MP or even them updating it, what I don't like is people thinking it's essential or important to the franchise, especially when they put no effort in actually improving it in andromeda and there being much better 3rd person horde modes out there. ME3 there was no issue (was still a watered down horde mode nevertheless)unless you disliked the galactic readiness effecting the ending, but other than that, one team was exclusively with the MP and the other the SP, they didn't take away from each other and it was just a bonus for those who were interested. Not so sure if andromeda was the same way where a different team worked exclusively on the MP,but nevertheless it's not much of an upgrade to ME3 and becomes questionable on adding it if that's how they're going to go on about it. The micotransaction must be to much to pass up on. i don't mind the MP so long as it doesn't take away from SP really. I'd even play it if it worked, and if it was designed better. I don't like bullet sponges, and I don't like shooting bullet sponges with lag.

My old company used to pull that when we were coming in way over Plan so corporate wouldn't jack up our targets for the next one, but that wouldn't apply to EA as a whole.

In regards to sales, since ME:A was out 11 days (March 21st - March 31st) prior to the end of the fiscal 4th quarter, you are probably not going to see more substantive numbers until sometime after the end of the fiscal 1st quarter in July.
