One of the major things neglected to be mentioned concerning this whole debacle is the fact that the actual talent that was behind the Mass Effect franchise in the first place is mostly gone. They don't work at Bioware anymore.
That is the "elephant in the room"; people have specific marks of their artistry and design. When you change that then the product changes. It changes irrevocably.
No one will get MET again. Ever. The people who wrote and designed those games are gone from Bioware. What we will get now is more of the same unless Bioware hires talent that is greater than the ones who worked on ME:A.
The sad truth is that all we have to look forward to is a shadow of a memory. Now we have to deal with Bioware as it is now; and that doesn't impress as much as one would hope.

Everybody is freaking out over an article by Kotaku of all places. Does nobody remember the amount of sketchy shit hey have done? The breaches of journalistic integrity and ethics? The clickbait bullshit?
Loltaku needs to be relegated to the trash bin in which it belongs and forgotten like the rest of the "games media."

what do you tihnk? The studio that developed this got put on suspension for sucking. I didn't like this game the first time. It's a game you must learn how to love. This is a sin in our fast paced ADHD world. As someone with nostalgia for ME1 I could find some nostalgic values in some of the shittyness in this game, but any way you put it, when you played ME1 the first time you could not point at any other game in existence that did that form of systematic facial animations with branching dialogue, it was completely innovative. Maybe it turns out the game sucked because it was too slow and you had no patience for it, but I think almost anyone will agree that the opening of ME1 is super strong and leaves an impression on you in some way. Andromeda is held back by how many games are doing what it does but better. Doesn't matter if it takes multiple runs to get to love the game, that first impression just wasn't there like it was even with ME1. Everybody is freaking out over an article by Kotaku of all places. Bias can be found in all media, and I would agree the thing you're referring to with Kotaku was very unethical but does it necessarily mean you can't buy into anything they write? Nope.

Nope. #GamerGate has nothing to do with it. Way to write off all of Kotaku's bullshit with a wave of the hand. There isn't just that one breach of ethics with Kotaku either. They have a long history of doing shady shit way before GG ever started. They are the pioneers of clickbait bullshit. They will and do write anything and everything to expose people to ads and collect the revenue. Until I see something like this from a trustworthy outlet like the The Escapist, it will receive no credence from me.
