If we don't get another Mass Effect....hahahahaahahaha......haahaahaha. aha. ha Good one. We will But regardless, I want a sci fi game closer to firefly. oh could you imagine a Bioware game set around you being a renegade starship captain and outlaw and you get to decide if you wanna be more robin hood or Billy the Kidd? Given Biowares recent reticence about not wanting to create truly evil characters anymore i doubt it will happen. Just like my other idea won't happen a Bioware game that takes after 24. Bioware may not, but why not another studio. We are lacking in the sci fi space games, and I feel like another studio could easily take a blend of mass effect and other media to make something special. I want a game where we are a ex starship fighter pilot turned rogue explorer. Using the mechanics of No Man's Sky but limiting the worlds to a defined cluster. Think of having a few more worlds than MEA, but being able to physically get into your ship, take off, fly to space, and fly to another planet, space station, space battle, etc. With HUBs everywhere to explore. Make the game more like a Red Dead REdemption in space where the story is more set in place, but you do have a few dialogue choices and your good vs bad meter is affected by your gameplay interactions and choices. Killing innocent people, robbing outposts, Hijacking space ships all goes towards a more renegade playstyle which causes space bounty hunters to come after you and people to react differently to you. Saving people, stopping alien raids, etc goes towards being more of a hero. Edit: colfoley I think one of the reasons I enjoy MEA more than the other games is because it is closer to this idea I've had in my head of an awesome open world space sci fi game. Red Dead Redemption is my favorite game from the PS3 era and MEA has more of that same open world feel. Probably why I'm such an advocate for random events, vehicle combat (like horse combat), and having more outposts/bases to take out. Also mini games. Anything like Red Dead's Poker or Witcher 3's Gwent. Red DEad is also the reason why I liked Witcher 3 so much.

Most of the combat takes place against other Humans and androids/mechs with a tone similar to Uncharted. But like every Uncharted game except for 4, there is a turning point where horror kind of comes into place. Having some horrifying Alien species emerge during the game to further change up gameplay would be awesome. I was kind of hoping for a twist like this MEA. Something far more threatening than the Kett and Remnant returns within the same game turning the tone from hopeful to horrifying and desperate then back to hopeful after the end with a hardened Ryder

Just only problem is...well several...but the main one for me and the main draw for bw games is its overall cast of companions. Now i do like having one off games too.. Like Witcher...but a strong cast off characters adventuring with you helps me relate. Honestly a strong cast of companions made a Skyrim esq game (which was tier 4) into my favorite game of all time.
