People will certainly also remember Zelda BOTW, Horizon Zero Dawn. Console exclusives, isn't it. So not a fair comparison. People will not remember them. Only the ones owning that particular console.

Although true, exclusives almost always beat out multi platform games in terms of quality and become memorable for their praise and reviews. Most people who have never played Uncharted or the Last of Us know about those games and how great they are. People won't forget Zelda BOTW due to the perfect reviews and HZD is known by everyone bc of its incredible reviews and the fact that it has Robot Dinosaurs

On the same lines I could bring up Pillars or Eternity. Not much use to any console user, but groudbreaking in my opinion. But not a fair comparison, since it only covers a fraction of the market.

Destiny is what I refer to as "Halolands" considering it's just Halo and Borderlands mashed together in a way that wasn't as good as either of those games individually. I'm still keeping an eye on Destiny 2 since it's on PC though.
Personally I'm on the hype train for Star Citizen 3.0 alpha this year(and hopefully full launch in 2018).
If Asscreed really is going for a full revitalization of the series, I might look into that. I enjoyed a lot of the earlier games up to and including Black Flag(somebody needs to make a pure pirate game with those naval combat mechanics).

I'm going to go out on a limb and say I'll probably like Middle Earth Shadow of War more than ME:A. If it's as good or better than the first that will be the case.

I don't think the console exclusivity thing really makes a difference here when the platform has a very large user base, like Nintendo.

Was really hyped for ME:A once but I am kinda dissapointed with the end result so I decided to drop the game after nearing the end of my first playthrough. Currently playing a lot of Overwatch, Normandy 44: Steel Division and The Witcher 3. As for games I'm hyped for:
- Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord - Normandy 44: Steel Division (currently it's in Open Beta) - Red Dead Redemption 2 if Rockstar finally mans up and releases it on PC - Iron Harvest - Hearts of Iron IV: Death or Dishonor - Stardew Valley Multiplayer
And I also have a couple of games which I would like to hear from in the nearby future:
- Age of Empires IV - Need for Speed Underground 3 (only if it's like a good old arcade racer. NFS started to suck after they went for realism.) - TES VI or Fallout: New Vegas 2 - Sleeping Dogs 2 (which is not gonna happen because UFG shutted down.)

Although true, exclusives almost always beat out multi platform games in terms of quality and become memorable for their praise and reviews. Most people who have never played Uncharted or the Last of Us know about those games and how great they are. People won't forget Zelda BOTW due to the perfect reviews and HZD is known by everyone bc of its incredible reviews and the fact that it has Robot Dinosaurs Only the people of the corresponding hardware will remember and those who actualy played, and I am not even sure for how long. I had nintendo back in the day and loved the first zelda, but today, I remember nothing of the game and some very faded memory of "I loved it back then" emerges when someone else mentions zelda. Same applies to uncharted and the last of us, and it is even worse, never played it, never had the hardware. Completly forgot about the names, unless someone else mentions them, and then I remember "yah it was said they were good", wonder how it looks like in 5 years. Same will be with BOTW and HZD, already forgot about the games the second I found out HZD is exclusive (BOTW always was, cant remember people saying it is that great, not in the same tone like people ware talking about the first zelda or ocarina), I am pretty sure I wont remember anything in 10 years. But I still remember games I played. Defender of the Crown from the 80s, Secret of Monkey Island from early 90s, Diablo and StarCraft end of the century, BG, KOTOR... ME. I gues ME3 and MEA will be remembered, for some time, because of their "controversity" while ME and ME2 will be remembered because of their quality. What I am hyped for? No idea. It was HZD until I found out it is exclusive, it was StarCitizen that was actualy announced for 2014/15 but delayed over and over again because boy ROberts can not grab enough money and added one feature after another delaying the release, doubt we will see the game in 2018. Hm well, maybe cyberpunk 77 and even more maybe the next tomb raider.

MEA is probably the only 2017 release I'll play this year so... that's an easy one. I'm tempted by HZD and BotW but I'm not buying a console for one frickin game. I admit that I bought my PS3 specifically to play the original Mass Effect, and ultimately the trilogy. I bought it for Ovlivion initially, and the trilogy turned out to be a massive bonus. But I didn't have anything else to play modern games on at the time so it was my only system. Now I have a gaming PC so I can't really justify another one!

Don't need games incorporating mechanics like they already do as that's how you get generic games. So "if" andromeda had any mechanics I thought were unique I really wouldn't want others copying it as that just limits the experience and it then comes down to who does it better when it comes to picking the game.
As for how will andromeda match up to others? Depends on how you want to look at it. Are we going to compare by genre? Sales? How it rates? How it's longevity holds up (longevity is my own personal thing on rating how good a game is, good games can hold up a pop after months as people let the "new" get in the way and then realize later it's not so good as they thought). If going by genre, I think andromeda can be one of the best for the year, but ultimately I feel this year really sucks for RPGs anyways(Andromeda was the only one that originally peaked my interest). We already know it's ratings and odds are GoTY won't be happening. As for sales, it'll be a top contender for RPG genre but it's going to lose out to the fps and bigger known titles like it always has, it's simply not big enough to contend with the top of the market when it comes to sales.
As for games I'm looking forward to:
Destiny2 (seriously hoping they learned off D1 as they had various uncertainties on what they wanted to do but then again it was their first game in 6 years with a complete overhaul of the studio).
CoD WWII since it seems it's going back to the ground and away from the futuristic crap that so many games do today.
State of decay 2
Last of us 2
Shadow of war
There's a few remastered/remakes as well that I'll give a go.

I don't have high hopes for this year, but if RDR 2 launches and does well that'd be great.
Destiny 2 and the new CoD are on my radar, but not locked in for me yet.
MEA wasn't even really disappointing tbh, just forgettable

Andromeda is stomping the competition this year and I see no game that could challenge it until Bioware's next major release. I thought Zelda and Persona 5 were the only chances, but Zekda ended up being absolute shit and Persona 5 a mess of poor ideas and bad writing. There could be a surprise out there but I doubt it... Quality shitpost.

I'm looking forward to aRPG called Vampyr that's made by the studio that did Life is Strange. You play as a doctor in victorian London during an epidemic that becomes a vampire. It's supposed to be one of those heavy choice/consequence games where feeding on someone can have a far reaching consequences and you have to balance keeping your cover as a doctor and growing stronger. Sounds pretty good to me.
Been hankering for a decent vampire game since Vampire the Masquerade:Bloodlines

I've backed Pillars of Eternity: Deadfire and have strong belief it will be amazing. Waiting for any announcement regarding Tyranny DLC (or something). Communication has been very sparse and odd (weird stand-alone portrait pack???), but what they said at PDXCon sounded like a definite promise. As an enormous fan of SystemShock2 and Avellone's writing, I already preordered, played, and loved Prey. Will replay too.

Horizon Zero Dawn for me. It's a no brainer because it's the only 2017 game I've played so far besides MEA. *g* The only other games were New Vegas and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
HZD is one of the coolest most fun games I've ever played. Doubt MEA would make it on my top 50 list.
There's no game I'm really looking forward to besides Cyberpunk 2077. I'm ok with that. Will work on my backlog...

Witcher 3 dethroned Red Dead Redemption for me. I have a good feeling, RDR2 will dethrone Witcher 3. I never expected MEA to dethrone Witcher 3 in terms of open world gameplay, side quests, and story, but it did come close. It is my favorite Mass Effect and open world space opera (well it's really the only one but I love it).
Red DEad REdemption was the first game to take a world that would have normally been huge, beautiful, boring, and empty, and made it one of the most engaging and gorgeous open world games to date. They absolutely nailed random events, and always having something new to do around every corner. That was 7 years ago. I think RDR2 may set a new standard. If we get MEA2, I hope they take notes. I think we also get to play as multiple protagonists again.
The CEO of Take Two said it will be coming out this fall unless it is not absolutely perfect. Take Notes EA...this is how you sell video games.

So far Andromeda is my biggest disappointement since ... years. Last time I've been that disappointed must be Final Fantasy XIII. Knowing that the 3 Mass Effect are among my best games of all times ... :/ For 2017 my best game is Zelda Breath of the Wild, no question, not sure if any game will be able to compete with that title in the near future. A game I'm really exited that is coming this year is Xenoablade Chronicles 2. I'm such a big fan of Xenoblade (best OST ever ) & Xenoblade X. But I think that's it (for now? who knows maybe a big announcement at E3? XD). Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of good game coming this year I want to play ( ESO: Morrowind, FFXIV stormblood, maybe Destiny 2 never played the fisrt since I only got a XBOne this year :x) or already available (Prey, Mario Kart 8, ...) but none that can hype me as much as Xeno, Zelda or MEA. But now, I know that MEA failled :/.

But you're clearly in denial. Sort yourself out, bucko. People have different tastes. Some like everything. I've played MEA about as much as I played Witcher the first year it came out and enjoyed pretty much all of it. MEA has been my personal favorite game this year (I don't have Nintento or PS4 kit)

Because no one is allowed to hate the internet darlings and love the troll's chosen whipping boy? No, because a 73 % on Metacritic can hardly be considered as "stomping the competition".
