I think maybe this is overestimating the "resources" that would go into something like an image filter. Like, what would you even get in a trade for this feature? Some extra hair color options? Yes. Or even more hair styles. Let's be honest. If film grain wasn't an option in the game, nothing else would have changed.

Yes. Or even more hair styles. Let's be honest. If film grain wasn't an option in the game, nothing else would have changed. It's been a feature in all the ME games, so I don't see it going away. Don't like it? Don't use it. Not really worth complaining about if you can turn it off. Ok. Then you are lucky for that was not what I had. For me the film grain in Mass Effect: Andromeda was auto forced. Even disabling the film grain in the menu -THE GAME STILL WENT AHEAD AND USED IT. Sigh. After 2+months just getting the game to work and then to be forced to use it... Had to go into the config files and even put disable code in the user.cfg file to finally get rid of it. The only thing that changed if not there is the 3-5 hours debugging and testing code to disable it the hard way......3-5 hours not playing the game.
