Really? That's all you did in FO4? And base your judgment on? Yep. My character looked terrible and nothing was happening. It started in 600x800 pixels window, and I fought and fought with it first to get it to run in anything approaching the size of my screen. Then, just walking around the house gave me motion sickness. There was no intro, no cutscenes, nothing. Just house with a droid and a baby. I'd keep trying, but I was getting so much negative stuff in just trying to run it and creating a char, that I did not feel it was worth going on. As as I said, good thing it was free. Hahahahaha! Come on stop it now, you guys are killing me here. I keep getting this image of the Three Stooges trying to figure out a video game, turning the simplest thing in the world into a total clusterfuck. hehehe...

Aha, so excuse if I don't take you even remotely serious on this. Ignoring even the "free" part.

Seriously someone tried Fallout 4, decided it wasn't for them, and moved on by not getting it...how is this bad?
Whereas i played fallout 4 to the end and found it a tier 3 game. Or 'aggressively average' as the Lorerunner put it.

Aha, so excuse if I don't take you even remotely serious on this. Ignoring even the "free" part. Well, i am used to getting into the game and being sucked into it by the events, or some sort of directions on what's expected of me. I've asked today, and good folks on Betshada forum told me to keep wandering around, and eventually it triggers a knock on the door. (Shrug) I will try, but the beginning save for the funny reel was not really appealing. No wow factor in either character creation or the opener. The game felt really dated rather than stylized. The females certainly did not look glamorous. and excuse me if I expect the 2015 game to not open up in a tiny window on a start-up and have a build in support for modern resolutions.

Truth be told, Bethesda games really don't have a wow opening to them. Oblivion starts you out in prison, you get out cause the emperors secret exit happens to be in your cell, then you're out in the open world to explore. Skyrim starts you out on the patch to execution (wrong place, wrong time) where you're exposed to the world once past getting through the dragon attack. Fallout 3 and 4 just start you in a vault, then you leave for whatever reason to go to wastelands. in short: they don't really have eye opening intros but the exploration they have is HUGE and you're not restricted. I wouldn't expect a great story either, its serviceable at best, the meat is really everything else besides the main story line. The crafting is awesome, building your own trading centers, exploring other vaults and finding out their intents and what happened as an after effect, the various buildings of Boston, and the simple joy of inventory management if you're a hardcore gunslinger (ammo can get rare depending on your play style). fyi in general: I'd prefer FO4 character character over andromedas character preset. I could spend hours on it where as I can't with Andromedas.

I prefer FO4s creator cause it has more options than Andromeda, not so much about good looking characters to me however I think it's more do-able in Bethesda games because of more options. You can change the forehead, nose, cheeks in their games where as in Andromeda all you can do is move it, not really changing the actual appearance.

Skyrim was awesome cause of watching the dragon maul people. Fo4 sucked caused you were going into the tunnel as the bomb went off, would've been awesome to watch it demolish the city but the smoke just blocked it all. i loved the games, but the intros are just a little so-so to me.

For me it's about the result, not the process, and what I see coming out of cryochamber in Andromeda is alive, breathing characters that look great to my eyes, and move well. In FO4 I see a maneken that moves stiffly, and well, lacks the plastic beauty of a Barbie doll that I would have accepted as artistic licence in a game that is supposed to be about 1950s.... it's void of some sort of attraction, spirit, anything... just lifeless and dated.

The boat docks in Morrowind, where you get off, talk to the local official who... hands you some money and lets you go. You're supposed to go introduce yourself to some guy in a city in the middle of the island. You can go there or not go there, nobody's going to make you. And that's it.

Well, fwiw, the bomb did go off as I was taking the screen captures, so it was an improvement. I still don't dig the graphics, and the game still makes me motion sick, so unfortunately, I will still pass.

I searched the Internet and other folks report it in the third. I was surprised myself, as I have never experienced it before in games. It's not subtle either, and very unpleasant. Go figure.

[snip] Fallout in general has something a bit off about faces, but 4 isn't so bad. Cait, Piper and post-synth Curie certainly don't look awful or anything, and I do like the way my SS came out overall. The CC does take some getting used to, but I feel I got the hang of it. This reminds me that I gotta get rid of Preston's stupid hat. But just the same, FO4's CC has lots of options that I wish BioWare implemented. Like the way you can set freckles. It has a number of options of how and where it covers the face, you can even set intensity. That's fine and good for makeup, but I greatly prefer being able to do this for actual facial features.

I get what the OP is saying , I was looking forward to this new instalment in the series.
The idea and the trailers and gameplay footage looked promising. But it didn't do it for me.

It always amuses me that people who rag on Addison's tired face scene (which has since been patched into oblivion) never compare it to the infamous Sheploo smile. Both are slightly shonky scenes, yet one no longer exists. Double standards. Thy name is BSN. I see, interesting post and the people who like the usual suscpects. So... I tried realy realy hard to reproduce that infamous SHeploo smile without luck. My gues: it are just few miliseconds during one convesation and someone got lucky to make a screenshot at the right time. So, I see nothing that have to be fixed. Addisons tired face is more about the line and less about the facial expression. And that BW actualy had to "fix" facial expressions speaks volumes, as the weird ones were all about the place and not just for a second or two. So much to double standards fanboys.
