If we get a Quarian DLC I sure hope it has something to do with the continuation of the Kett or Jardaan storyline. I am more interested with what's going on in Andromeda... I'd hpoe they'd throw in a cure for mum or something like that as for me hte cure for mum and the Quariams are the 2 biggest threads that need tying. That and that poor sick lady if you saved her. Minor I know but still.

There are also people who need to realize Shepard ain't coming back. I guarantee Shepard will be back. Be it in a remaster, or whole new game, Shepard will be back. Man let it go!

I guarantee Shepard will be back. Be it in a remaster, or whole new game, Shepard will be back. Talking about shit. This would be the shit of shits. Shepards story is over. Deal with it, and make something of it. And by that I mean something equally as engaging as the Shepard trilogy has been. Just needs some writers not feeling the compulsion to insert their version of comic releif every few seconds and and engaging storyline.

I'm not bothered whether they remaster him or not as far as I'm concerned Shepard is dead and died at the end of ME3. Deal with it

If the Quarian DLC was started before MEA came out I don’t see why we would not get at least one DLC. Some voice actors had tweeted that they were recording again, if I recall.

There are also people who need to realize Shepard ain't coming back. I guarantee Shepard will be back. Be it in a remaster, or whole new game, Shepard will be back. You know that a "remaster" would probably be nothing more than a glossed up version of the old trilogy made compatible for current gen systems, which would be pretty much meaningless to the PC crowd. The likelihood of BioWare producing 3 entire games rehashing/reimagining the old story and characters is nil. The likelihood of a new game after the MET featuring Shepard even less so.

DA:I and even DA2 garnered great reviews, with multiple GOTY's, and werent an online laughingstock... EA and Bioware's reputation is worth more to them than a 7/10 DLC with a low attach rate + more ridicule. They keep supporting it to string along the multiplayer $$$ - quitting outright and those dollars disappear. DA2 had a huge online backlash and was the lowest rated Dragon Age. The user reviews are nearly identical to Andromeda. As long as a big enough fan base exits ME will continue. We know you hate it but please let it rest and let us enjoy it. It was so bad that the Dragon Age wikia was toxic.

Just thought I'd post this, as Soderlund, VP of EA, still seems to believe in Mass Effect.
Engadget: I know that you have said you are very proud of the team's work and how the game turned out, but that isn't the complete consensus on the consumer side of things with how the animations worked -- glitches and bugs, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that.
Soderlund: No, and as you should. Here's how I look at this: A game that we launched in the market that doesn't function and is full of bugs, that's not who we are and that's not who we should be. Trust in me that that's something I look at and I say there needs to be a change in process and a change in strategy. What I will say, though, is that we are a large organization with 6,000 developers. If one game comes out and we have those issues, then we come out and we attack that problem.
That doesn't mean that the whole organization has that problem. But what you said, I can only agree with. It warrants a change in process, it warrants a change in approvals, which we're going through. So all I can say to those people who feel that way is, we hear you, and we agree with you. We will make sure that we rectify that going forward.
With Mass Effect, the game wasn't maybe as finished as people wanted it to be. Of course, we take that seriously. What we do is we look at that toward the Mass Effect team themselves, but we also look at what learnings can we apply to the rest of the organization so that this doesn't get replicated in another place around EA. Of course, anything that comes out of BioWare we'll apply thorough dialogue and change to ensure we get the best possible game in the market.
At no point did I hear him say, 'it's cancelled'. Changes will be made apparently, but it ISN'T the end.

Fresh start and all - developed by the good half of BioWare. ”What we do is we look at that toward the Mass Effect team themselves” - ie, they’re fucked. Clear out those offices. Here’s the new games you’re now working on. Andromeda has way too much baggage at this point - a remaster of the trilogy in one complete game is probably the only way to regain respectability for the franchise.

Here’s the new games you’re now working on. Andromeda has way too much baggage at this point - a remaster of the trilogy in one complete game is probably the only way to regain respectability for the franchise. EA’s CEO Andrew Wilson responded, offering a few concessions up front.
He says Andromeda “was in development for a really long time”, and admits that “overall, the aggregate review scores were lower than we would have liked”. He also notes the fanbase for the game is “very passionate, looking for very particular things. And many players found exactly what they're looking for and some players did not.”
Nonetheless, Wilson leaps to Bioware’s defence. He points out that “we did have over 100 reviewers score the game at 80 or higher,” and points to Bioware’s forthcoming content schedule, saying “new multiplayer content is continuing to be released and new content arriving overall more regularly. We're very happy with how Bioware is doing, how Bioware is treating Mass Effect. And our expectations for Mass Effect are still strong for the future and the franchise overall.”
Lying to investors is considered fraud, and a securities violation. While the statement can be construed as ambiguous, the last sentence strongly implies that the franchise will continue. Attempting to switch the name, i.e. saying that Anthem IS Mass Effect would be considered as such. Such a statement would also potentially make the CEO PERSONALLY liable in addition to possibly bankrupting the company itself as it is buried under litigation. IF the shareholders or investors KNOW about a factual misstatement, i.e. a lie, they themselves can become personally liable to OTHER investors if they learn of the dishonesty and as such can be named in a potential lawsuit. SO, I can infer that based upon the above statement by the CEO of EA that Mass Effect is NOT done and will continue, if for nothing else that this guy probably doesn't want to lose his job and bonuses. Essentially, unless Wilson is willing to fall on the sword, he'll continue the franchise purely out of self preservation. It wouldn't be the first time, it won't be the last... Of course, EA could always do what was done with Tomb Raider...remove it from Bioware's hands and hand it to another dev. Considering the investment made so far it would be foolish to simply dump it and run. They've committed too many resources, basically a sunk cost fallacy, to just throw in the towel. With a potential movie in the works (though it is in whatever limbo it might be in), books, comics, goods and the like, just tossing it aside would poison the well. This isn't just about software at this point...if Bioware and by extension, EA, were to drop Mass Effect on its head, it would negatively impact any and ALL of Bioware's franchises by association. Many Dragon Age fans are ALSO Mass Effect fans. There is a large crossover between franchises, and systems. On top of that, you have word of mouth (and social media) which would mean that official news of the end of Mass Effect would spread like wildfire, ultimately consuming whichever sacrificial lamb that was thrown up to deliver such. It could kill the career of whomever was CEO at the time (like what happened with SimCity). The safe money is on them slowing down, taking a breather, and coming back when they are ready. They already know EXACTLY how much ill will can be generated by negativity towards their titles. INTENTIONALLY killing a franchise would ruin them. Too many factors are against the end of Mass Effect...I don't see it happening.

Uhh - they’ve ‘intentionally’ killed many, many franchises. They’ll be fine. And I agree Mass Effect will continue - in a remaster of the trilogy. My argument is that Andromeda is finished forever.

I'm with you. I don't believe they will continue MEA in any form, but I still got that VERY small hope - but smaller every day - for some kind closure of Ryder's storyline. Something like ending of Stargate: Universe - everyone go to statis and MAYBE one day we will wake up... It will be not so hard to connect that plot with Quarians MAYDAY signal.

Too many factors are against the end of Mass Effect...I don't see it happening. Uhh - they’ve ‘intentionally’ killed many, many franchises. They’ll be fine. And I agree Mass Effect will continue - in a remaster of the trilogy. My argument is that Andromeda is finished forever. Oh, indeed they have...they killed STUDIOS. I'm simply stating that they won't kill ME...well, not for a while. IF they do decide to end it, it won't be soon...next quarter or the one after that. However, doing so WILL make the franchise and the studio, i.e. Bioware, toxic for a good while, potentially alienating former customers when it comes to their newest franchise, Anthem. I can't see Andromeda being finished forever...I figure they'll drop at least one DLC (even if it's a pity DLC so they can write off Andromeda as a complete loss), and if worse comes to worse, they'll retool the game (possibly under a different studio...and almost certainly under different management). I'm certain Mass Effect will continue in some form, though you may be right about Andromeda...they missed the mark (they may have missed the galaxy as well...). I'm...hopeful, but I can't see them straight out lying to the investors without serious negative repercussions. That's career suicide. I'd fully support a remastered Trilogy, especially since Soderlund seemed so keen on doing so (rumor has suggested he'd remaster a LOT of older games under EA's banner).
