Also the whole "my face is tired" meme got old two months ago and wasn't even funny in the first place. It's not even relevant anymore since it has been patched. What you find annoying others find appropriate or entertaining. There is no accounting for taste, and no grand rule book to say who's taste is the right one. I am sure you're aware of all that, but it is the truth. My face is tired is a line I will never forget, and it will be my lasting memory of Bioware. I can still enjoy their old games, and I may even check out Anthem if it is anything near that demo video - the suit looked fun and I never played Destiny or Warframe so it's new-ish to me. Ultimately though, my face is tired of Bioware whether you like it or not  |

Bioware have written tons of dodgy lines of dialogue and silly sequences. Remember Aria and that ridiculoud 'I AM Omega!' with its bizarre echo and hokey grandstanding? Followed by probably the worst choreographed conversation ever. Both Shepard and Aria jerk back and forth, supposedly being casual but looking more like someone has sprinkled itching powder on the couches and are being intermittently jabbed with cattle prods.

It's called a bug if you are referring the the Omega dlc. Still that leads to the best line. |

No, the conversation from ME2 when you first go to see her. That whole scene is dreadfull. As is the conversation with Jacob in Huerta memoriwl hospital in ME3. I actually have to mute that conversation to prevent myself from cringing so hard that my spine breaks. Or how about the 'loop in your hole' from DaO, the singing in 'Heart shall burn', the terribly chireographed ballad by Leliana that looks like one of those fake performances at pop concerts.
Bioware let plenty of dodgy moments slip through the net. They are bad, but its not like they are representative of the games' writing. They simply reflect the fact that with so much dialogue, you are goibg to get some real howlers. And some sequences are a bit much but generally okay, whereas others feel grossly self indulgent and simply don't work, aren't as funny or smart as the writers thought they were. |

Grandstanding - absolutely! I couldn't stand Aria, and would have killed her in most playthroughs given the option.
However, she speaks intelligible phrases that everyone can simply understand.
As for animation dodginess, no shit. The facial animations in the "face is tired" dialogue were laughably worse than KotOR.

I think DA:I benefited a lot from coming out in a relatively weak year for games in general. I quite liked it and I still play it every now and then, but I think it stood out only because 2014 was such a weak year.
