I'd love it if a dlc.provides us with a decision point of the benefactor having a cure and willing to give it to you but for a price of helping them do something really nefarious. You know who I think the Benefactor is?........... Liara no chance she's the Benefactor she only became a big deal 2 years before the AI left.

Well they did Cancel an expansion for DA 2, granted I do not know how far along it was but there is precedent. I know but they didn't shelve all plans like suikoden is suggesting. Agreed they only shelved that one because they wanted to transfer people over to Frostbite faster ready for DAI. Which ultimately in the end paid off. but DA2 did get DLC and I expect the same for MEA. We still have another couple of months before we need to start worrying about it anyway. Plus Anthem is over a year away yet at least I think. Which leaves plenty of time for Bioware to get the DLC out that they plan for MEA without treading on Anthem's toes

Some of the content which was supposed to be on DLC was used as a inspiration for DA:I, but many other things were totally deleted or rethinked.

From what I understand, it might have been much darker if they went with their original ideas, since there was going to be a death or at least some deaths of major characters (possibly Varric being among them).

Zelda: Breath of the Wild, another highly praised game released the same month as MEA also just had DLC announced for it. Absolutely not fair to compare a single platform game to a multiplatform one. Most of us couldn't play Zelda if our life was depending on it. I haven't got the hardware and I'm certainly not planning on buying it- And I'm saying that as someone being critical over MEA.

Pretty much this. Therefore if they scrap the DLC now you cannot be sure that they are going to tie up the same lose endings in a future sequel. And even if they do maybe that many things will end up being very different from how they were initially planned.

The world is doomed!lol. yeah agreed and seeing as I chose the XB1 over the PS4. I wouldn't be able to play Horizon either but then I'd have only likely bought it if it got a PC release but seeing as it didn't I'm not thinking about it. But we aer near the point where if there is going to be DLC's announced for games that came out then though now's the time to announce them. So hopefully within the next few weeks /couple of months Bioware will do the same for MEA

On top of it being a completely different type of game.

The point is that all 3 games were AAA games with a lot of hype backing them and only 2 if the 3 has announced DLC.

What does Zelda being an Nintendo exclusive have to do with the game being highly praised and getting DLC announced? First, because it's not comparable to a multiplatform game. It's geared at a smaller market holding a particular piece of hardware. Secondly because it's a niche game, intended for people who like the cartoonesque style. That's not to downgrade the game. It's just that in my opinion you can only compare games aimed at the same market segment. If one is to discard comparisons to DAII, then one can savely discard comparisons to a single platform game. It's not intended to reach the same market and so expectations are different.

You have always been a cdpr infiltrator going back to the days of the old bsn. You will use one disappointing game to push your anti mass effect agenda. It's not like other franchises much older than ME havn't stumbled and I don't see you calling for their end.

Actually if you remember at the old BSN, I was a big MEA cheerleader way back in 2015 and was always against DAI. Furthermore, if you hung around the non spoiler thread here prior to release, you would have seen that I was very much excited for MEA and didnt want the story spoiled for me. So what happened, well, I played MEA. Thats what happened.

Well, yes. What's to argue over that? If you don't own Nintendo gear you're out. So niche, as compared to gamers at large. Should I bring up pillars of Enternity? PC exclusive and not to everyone's tastes because of isometric environments? Equally unfair.

I still think we will see dlc I am quite content with waiting a bit for it. It has been a while since my first PT and it will be nice to get back ingame. Romanced Jaal the first time so this time it will be Liam. Keeping all fingers crossed that Liam will get a little bit of romance-content in future dlc, that would be awesome. After all this hinting at quarians there has to be a good story with it.

Just because they're both food, it doesn't mean that they're in any way correlated.
