I guess I don't hear it, but I have had people say "I love your accent! You're Canadian aren't you?" My family is French, so maybe I picked up something too, but I don't speak it at all. Hearing Yuri Lowenthal imitate us as Fisher in MEA was kind of amusing lol

Yeah haha all my life everyone is always holding doors, helping strangers and smiling and greeting people as they pass by in my community. Most of my family (I think I outdo Jaal) is from Ottawa. I guess it's something you don't notice since it's just a part of you.

I recommend reading this story if you haven't already. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but sometimes it's my job. I just want it to be clear that we're not exaggerating or sensationalizing the situation here.

The reason why a lot of people don't trust Kotaku is because it used to be owned by Gawker (before Hulk Hogan put them out of business) and they ran a LOT clickbait and some of their articles were questionable and some were downright bullshit. Since Gawker is now out of business, the other sites it used to owned were bought by Univision who basically bought them so they could have a huge selection online media platforms. Now I don't know Univision's editorial standards but my guess is that they have to work to rebuild trust in some of the former Gawker sites like Kotaku which had a questionable reputation for a long time it's easy to see why some people aren't going to trust them easily. Also insulting Americans is a bad idea even joking (even when we deserve it) isn't going to help to case.

Also in the larger gaming world no one really cares about ME:A anymore. They're more focused on E3 and the next big game from everybody.

My personal mottoes:

1) I would rather be hated for being honest than being loved as a liar.

2) I don't lose to my problems, I conquer them!

When I retire, I want to own a place on the Thousand Isles chain. It's going to cost some serious money and it's prone to all sorts of weather calamities, but no where in the world has a place taken a hold of my heart. One day, dang it... one day.

I speculate that Trump will not get elected. All the signs point to it. If I'm reading some articles, like the Huffington Post, Trump is already impeached. The truth is: I can speculate and get a lot of things right. I can have 100 anonymous sources that are involved with the government (and I know many, many, many people that are drones) all saying the same thing. Up to EA's acquisition, every investment paid off in bunches. After EA, it's been real tough getting value back. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it isn't. Also, we're short-changing the lower-level folk. They're freaking smart and they're the ones holding the line (Captain Kirahe would be proud). I'm confident that we'll get DLC because history, if it means anything, says I'm right.

I speculate that Trump will not get elected. All the signs point to it. If I'm reading some articles, like the Huffington Post, Trump is already impeached. The truth is: I can speculate and get a lot of things right. I can have 100 anonymous sources that are involved with the government (and I know many, many, many people that are drones) all saying the same thing. Unless I have a complete reference, it's all questionable. I still haven't read anything on LinkedIn or Glassdoor regarding the layoffs that were reported on. That is something I am deeply interested in because of personal reasons. From what I've heard (and it's all speculation as well) the dead weight is gone, people re-assigned to fulfill EA's schedule (that's the bottom line) and things are moving forward. People that want the demise of something have an agenda. I want improvement, not wholesale destruction, because my last investment was bad. That's it. Up to EA's acquisition, every investment paid off in bunches. After EA, it's been a real tough getting value back. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it isn't. Also, we're short-changing the lower-level folk. They're freaking smart and they're the ones holding the line (Captain Kirahe would be proud). I'm confident that we'll get DLC because history, if it means anything, says I'm right.

I would just love to know what Cora-related stuff her actress was doing in May if there's no DLC.

As I have already said and I'll continue to say it: until it comes from the horses mouth there will be dlc. EA/BioWare would have said something definitive during the "Journey ahead" article on the Mass Effect site and that had been two weeks since the game's release. So, since we haven't gotten a definitive no from them since that article (it's obviously been months by the way), there is nothing to worry about. Now then the question becomes is how many dlc's would we get? That's harder to answer. Doing dlc is a low risk/high reward scenario, because you already have majority of the assets excluding a couple new ones like locations, etc. DAI and ME3 both got three dlc's (of course ME3 having that infamous day one dlc) excluding cosmetic dlc's. S0, I think will get two certainly one dlc.

EA is freakin' cheap. They're cheap and I dare anyone... ANYONE... challenge me on this. Anyway, as cheap as they are... do you really think they're going to throw money away at some VA? Hell no. That stuff is getting used because that's a glaring red minus in the books. Those costs are either going to be absorbed in some way through payroll or through a contract. My guess (like every video game journalist out there) is that we'll have DLC. Shoot... I should open a betting site on this.

Are we sure 5 years is a proper timeline? The entire OT came out in the span of 5 years. (Don't know development time for ME1 but ME2 and ME3 got 3 and 2 years, respectively.) MEA took longer because of a new engine and, well, if articles are to be believed, a lot of shit going on behind the scenes. MEA2 should not take as long to develop. Also, I'm still expecting at least one DLC for MEA, though I probably won't pick the game up again until it's released.
