Gamescom 2017? There's still hope. Did Bioware ever used those events to announce DLC? I really don't remember then doing it before. Anyway, we should start hearing about DLC 4-5 months after the game release if they follow the pattern of previous games. To the best of my knowledge, Bioware have never used events to announce DLC. They typically only announce DLC literally days before it releases. This is part of the reason why I find all this stuff so bizarre. I'm as concerned about getting a Quarian DLC as any, but the simple fact that none have been announced doesn't mean anything.

Promoting it months before release would mean it would have been announced around the same time Leviathan was released (Lev came out in August, Omega 3 months later).

Agreed it dosen't mean anything yet as long as they don't take too much longer as people on here I've noticed starting to get anxious. I wouldn't put myself among them yet but it's clear on this forum there are a few. I think as long as they announce one within the next couple of months or so we should be OK .They certainly need to get at least announcement and ideally the first DLC out about before the end of the summer that's for sure. We should at the very least get an announcement even if we don't get a DLC yet.

That along with Cora's voice actress saying she's back in the studio voicing Cora on May 5th makes it pretty obvious that while they were voicing the new DLC, they fixed up the m/m issues. No extra money wasted that way.

Mass Effect 1 (Xbox 360) launched November 2007 and Bring Down the Sky launched in March 2008.....5 months after game launch. Mass Effect 2 (Xbox 360/PC) launched January 2010 and Overlord launched in June 2010.....5 months after game launch. Mass Effect 3 (360,PS3, and PC) launched March 2012 and Levitation launched in August 2012.....5 months after game launch. For an added bonus: Dragon Age Inquisition launched November 2014 and Jaws of Hakkon launched March 2015.....5 months after game launch. As you can see, 5 months after launch seems to be the point where Bioware releases the 1st major story DLC for their games if using past ME games along with their most recent DAI as factual reference. This means that if there is any story DLC for MEA, it should release in August which is 2 months away. Take that for what you want but I am just going by factual patterns from the past. Sounds right because Mass Effect: Discovery also ends in August and given that both Mass Effect 2: Lair of the Shadow Broker and Mass Effect 3: Omega used comics as lead-ins to those DLC, so I would guess August to October would be in right time range. Kind of related EA has announced DLC for both Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 that is being released soon don't know if either game has any DLC released before or not though. It's worth mentioning that Titanfall 2 wasn't the hit that EA thought it should be as well.

On what do you base your assumption that all of this has been newly developed and not just implemented? Within four to five weeks? Writing, developing, voicing? Well, OK, if people want to believe, they believe anything. Since Mac said in March they were looking into it, then in April they had already started on it? Also they said in the patch notes they had to create new stuff since Scott/Jaal was not cut content (minus a few lines) but new, and they had to figure out how to make it work. I believe facts not stupid, biased thinking like that article has created. If you believe Mac Walters, you're an idiot. And that's a fact you can print.

MEA Schrödinger DLC, the DLC that cannot be denied and cannot be confirmed. Need to remember that EA moved unspecified number of BioWare Montréal developers to Motive Studios to work on Star Wars Battlefront II which releases November 2017, and another untitled Star Wars game coming 2018, then there's also Anthem coming Fall 2018. I personally don't expect any MEA SP DLC at all, at best any DLC plans will be chopped down to some MP Apex/Strike Team missions. But you can enjoy the upcoming books - bsn.boards.net/thread/272/.

Better than article with a bad rep. AFAIK, the author of the article in question has an excellent rep and has broken several stories in the past. Outside of BSN, I've never heard anybody complain about him. No gaming press "journalist" is credible. If they had credibility, they wouldn't be working for sham that is gaming press.

Indeed I'm still hopeful we'll see something soon we just need to be patient. If they don't say anything by the end of next month then I'd say it's OK to be worried. For now we just need to keep our ears to the ground and be prepared for anything.

If EA believes they can cut their loss by cancelling MEA dlc and using that time, resources, and money on something more profitable they will.

Yea, but with Titantfall 2 they sent that ip to die when they released it relatively close to Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite WarFare. EA, only has themselves to blame for that. I believe Titantfall 2 reviewed well as well, so it wasn't like it was the dev's fault or anything like that. I'll say this, I'll be shocked if we don't get any kind of dlc. BioWare use's more fan events like Pax's to announce their dlc and they can just use their YouTube channel, directly to their fanbase, us instead of the "press". You mean it releases in August, right?

Just because a game or DLC is in developmemt, doesnt mean it has to release. Games and dlc projects goes full swing into development and gets cancelled all the time. If EA believes they can cut their loss by cancelling MEA dlc and using that time, resources, and money on something more profitable they will. It actually depends on the stages of development and if the company expects revenues to justify finishing it.

That is true however it has not ever been the case with Bioware at least not with the first dlc. And having a AAA game from a highly established brand getting a 72 review score average has not ever been the case with Bioware either.
