1. It's not good idea especially when you are so biased. 2. It is not clear if changes in the series are made to affect players or to match the market. But they are there. Gender roles are changing and media and entertainment business made major impact. (is it coincident that way more left movement people are there? well not statistical proof but we are not dumb kids too) 3. SJW are just a label, probably used not so accurately everytime. People from real SJW community usually aren't very smart and usually in useless studies which will never provide them normal income, so they just blame anyone who has something better. SJW are one of the most racist and sexist groups I've ever seen (from those who aren't banned officially). Rude. Yep. But true. And being afraid of saying true and getting targeted by them is cancer of nowadays. Ultra right or ultra left. Equally dumb. And dumb people tend to think they know everything. Especially how others should behave. Dunning–Kruger effect. Everyone should know this. It's amazing how often I see this in my life.

Or how choosing to do something unlucrative for a profession makes you stupid. Maybe some people are stupid for spending the only life they're given on inflating their bank accounts. Dumb people do think they know everything, don't they? You're right about that. FO.

Ok, just think about this for a second.... And I am speaking as a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a Minor (6 creds short of a double major) in Religion. I am an Atheist, and I work as a Gaffer and DMX Tech on movies and TV sets, and am still paying my student loan for a degree I will never "make money" from. I don't consider my education a waste, but I do think if I had been less idealistic as a young man and perhaps had a shred of guidance from a parent (mine are not the guidance types), maybe I would have used my degree to learn something interesting and make money while doing it. People that study fields that are unlikely to pay them well in the future, are either idealistic and ignorant (me) or hopelessly stupid. Crossroads. The extremes of politics, like the extremes of religion, are where the absurd cringe fringe reside, and I for one think they should be killed with vengeance. I am tired of it.

Wouldn't that make your saying that phrase in the first place similarly cheap? And while we are making generalizations and theories I think that the people who don't see the value in being inclusive of many kinds of people and lifestyles are those who are simply ignorant of any people who aren't like them, and thus lack empathy. It would be a big assumption on my part to say that this ignorance is born from being uneducated, but it seems likely to me.

It's massive topic, and unfortunately off-topic. Really not worth it.

We were the ones at fault here for using such black and white language like "everyone" is like this or that. going forward I should instead say that "usually" the people who complain about SJWs ruining bioware are only looking for a convenient scapegoat for what is just regular old bad writing, and that they are "usually" uninformed about the benefits of having a more diverse cast not just to the groups being represented but also to good storytelling and a healthy playerbase. Also "usually" they see this change to their gaming hobby and have a knee-jerk reaction, associating it with some extremist they debated on tumblr or wherever and assuming that every "SJW" (a term and group that was not defined by the so-called SJWs themselves but rather by their opponents), holds the same extremist views about sex or race, and that they are somehow forcing bioware to work towards their vaguely defined "agenda". not always, but usually. (finally to clarify: the "viewpoint" i was talking about was the SJW viewpoint, whatever it is that we think they believe.)

And you seem thinking that this is only part of them.

I don't see what anyone's choice of profession/field and its "usefulness" (according to whom? to you? to capitalism?), or how much money they make, has to do with anything in this conversation. Or how choosing to do something unlucrative for a profession makes you stupid. Maybe some people are stupid for spending the only life they're given on inflating their bank accounts. I will say one more thing against my better judgment, Quiggles, because it's bothering me: if certain people hadn't majored in such a financially risky field as theatre, do you think you would have a job working on film and tv sets? What if all the actors who went to drama schools and the writers who specialized in screenwriting hadn't done that? They might still produce -- but far, far more slowly -- and many would not do it at all, because it is very, very hard to consistently produce or train (not to mention audition) in one of these artforms while working 40 hrs/week doing something else, especially if that position is salaried and so requires you to take work home or stay late. A healthy society with a dynamic, thriving c ulture worth living in needs all kinds of people contributing to it -- there is symbiosis -- your more practical job working tech on tv & movie sets fundamentally depends on people who did not choose a financially 'safe' path for their lives. Otherwise your job would not even exist, or there would be fewer opportunities for it (working newsrooms, for ex), and maybe you wouldn't have been hired over someone else. Maybe people shouldn't major in these things just for the shit of it, because without passion and dedication (+ lots of luck, or independent wealth) you won't make it in these increasingly competitive arts fields, at least not in the US system. While majoring in philosophy does have value -- and may have in fact given you some of the skills that helped you succeed -- it's probably not a super great idea to major in philosophy if you don't want to be a philosopher/philo professor at a university, or do not have the mind to make it far enough in that highly competitive arena (I mean no disrespect by that--just that philo is like mathematics, not everyone can do it professionally). But if everyone followed this advice because doing otherwise is ignorant or stupid, where would we be?

"For me only those who are fighting for their racist and sexist believes by pretending they fight for equality andusing statement without proofs. And you seem thinking that this is only part of them."
yes actually you have done a good job summarizing my viewpoint: I agree with every word in the above quote!
there are people like you describe out there. and yes they are remarkably stupid so they tend to stick in our memory. but they did not invent the term SJW, there is no SJW conference or leadership or bible. So we cant assume that everyone who appears to be what we think of when we say that term has the same beliefs or actions as the last SJW we spoke to.
social justice is just a chaos of different voices and opinions. some of those opinions are racist, sexist, or stupid. But many of them are just trying to do what they see as the right thing. And they are not some monolithic group that all share the same goal, so they cant speak with a unified voice into biowares ear to force a huge, rich company like them to cater to their whims.

I, for one, am very excited to live in our irredeemably dead superior society without such useless things as art, literature, poetry, film & television, music, philosophy, and, yes, video games. Pass me some "normal" income and a doctor. This is all or nothing. Im saying to watch a movie is not equal as to have operation, and you say it must be as important or no one can have it. aren't very smart and usually in useless studies which will never provide them normal income, so they just blame anyone who has something betteraren't very smart and usually in useless studies which will never provide them normal income, so they just blame anyone who has something betteraren't very smart and usually in useless studies which will never provide them normal income, so they just blame anyone who has something better aren't very smart and usually in useless studies which will never provide them normal income, so they just blame anyone who has something better aren't very smart and usually in useless studies which will never provide them normal income, so they just blame anyone who has something better
