At the end of the day journalists are just journalists. They're just humans trying to do their job and make a buck and are prone to making blunders like everyone else. Whatever.
I'm far more interested in who these DLC sources are and why they're all cropping up so soon after the SN hoax. I'm also curious what EA thinks about all these people intimately familiar with their company going around spilling secrets about their release schedule. They have the Bioware developers on such a tight leash about future content that it's hard to believe they'd let this go on for too long.

Just a reminder for the hopeful and how EA works.
Players wanted Jaal made bi Devs said they would look into improving romance options for Scott over the next 2 months Players begged and pleaded for answers for 2 months with replies that future stuff could not be spoken of yet Devs remained silent until 2 days before the patch

I said yesterday that there is the possibility DLC was never planned (not due to the supposed failure of the gamer either, just a new way of wrapping up stories since Montreal had a lower budget) and they wanted people to buy the novels to wrap things up, but they did not expect this outrage. It's possible. I will be not suprised, if all those open plots from MEA will have their closure in those books. They could wrap up the loose ends in the books of course, but the problem is: not everyone reads the books. There are probably way more players who would buy a DLC than read the accompanying books.

I just want to ask who the hell is anyone to make any commentary on what other people choose to believe? I mean exactly who do you think you are calling people delusional because they wish to imagine, hope, dream, want something? All I see when I see these people feeling so righteous in their need to tell people to stifle their desires and face that they might not get what they want are a bunch of people that lack imagination, lack the ability to believe what they do not see, and get off on pushing down people for whatever sick reason. Nobody has to face reality if they don't like it or if they want something more for themselves. Not facing reality and imagining what other people could is the SOLE reason we have so many innovations and wonderful things in the world today. This forum exists because this kind of communication was imagined. The internet was imagined and now it exists. Video games were once imagined and now they are commonplace. So many amazing things exist in the world today because they were imagined and even when others didn't think or believe they were possible, the dreamers persisted in their dreams, despite evidence as to whether or not what they imagined ever could be.
There is no benefit in facing reality. Not in this case. Not in far too many cases. Dream big. Dream often. And don't let naysayers bring you down.

Nexus Uprising was a prequel that involved various plot threads in the main game. So the other two books will likely tie into the game's story as well. We know Annihilation had the original/working title of "The Lost Ark"; that obviously connects it to the quarian ark.
So I would bet good money that Annihilation is the DLC prequel, the story of the quarian ark leading up to whatever crisis we'll have to deal with in the DLC.
But hey, who thinks it's mere coincidence that information that ME fans see as building up to the anticipated DLC came out and then was immediately followed by claims that there would be no DLC? It's almost like the people spreading this garbage see the fandom getting excited and are trying to dump elephant dung on our bonfire.

Of course, but have many people, money and effort it will take to write a book comparing to making a DLC ? It happens to my favorite sci-fi series, Babylon 5, after Crusade season 1 fail... the whole universe go from the screen into books, and we have to live with that.

"You can't buy this kind of press." Honestly, why confirm or deny anything when the online press is giving you so much free coverage on a game that was released 4 months ago that it makes your marketing department look tame? The only thing EA has really made a statement about was that they had never worked with SN and that's probably because an investor probably asked, "who the hell is Sinclair?"

It might have all been said, of course, but what's at least dubious about this article, imho, is how it refuses to go any deeper than Sinclair Networks and Steve Reese's 'guy(s) behind it'. I mean, it's not as if Qolx excellent investigative work didn't go any further. The piece has Steve Reese happily chatting how he met Patrick Sinclair and how Jorg Kellar did this or that. Patrick Sinclair and Jorg Kellar probably don't exist. But what I love even more is how Eurogamer tries to add weight to its article by adding hot air: "An EA spokesperson confirmed to Eurogamer neither EA or BioWare had previously known of Sinclair Networks."Er.., didn't Melo and Gamble sort of blurt it out to the world through Twitter?
