There's enough smoke around these rumours that I have to believe there's fire. I've uninstalled ME:A from my HD. Then you have done exactly what the sociopaths waging a campaign against the game want. They want the game to be a failure, and will spread as much misinformation as they can to discourage people from buying the game and future content. There's a mountain of evidence suggesting that DLC is coming, and only the word of the "sources" of an immature hack intent on stirring shit in the Mass Effect fandom to suggest otherwise. I can't wait until all of those people are eating their words. The only tragedy is that the wannabe-journalists happy to spew hit-piece after hit-piece because a bunch of misogynists and homophobes on the internet have nothing to better to do but to harass the fans and creators of a video game will likely not face any repercussions for reporting false information that's resulted in damage to the game's reputation and harassment of the game's creators.

Players didn't have to cause them all. Seeing peebee hold her gun backwards, Sloan doing whatever the hell she did where her body just turned to blob and seeing duplicate characters and NPCs phase through the floor along withfunny cutscene fights that was just bad isn't player controlled. i didn't care for the animations but if I did the game gets an D for it cause it was awful lol. Right. Games that are actually broken in terms of mere functionality get a pass because the vocal minority worships the developer and refuses to accept criticism of it. Games that have minor issues get slandered because the vocal minority wants to murder the developers (especially the women). Look at halo mcc, assassins creed unity, Arkansas knight, I could list more but those games got shat on for being nothing but buggy P.O.S (mcc being one I'm still furious about). You're pretty much making a stereotype that bad games get passes and good games get bombed by people with an agenda when in reality you have to piss people off to have a game bomb. I won't argue the point further cause I honestly don't care, to many people let their feelings get in the way with this kind of discussion cause of their love for a franchise and dislike for another. (Everyone probably says this) and I'm the biggest ME fan out there but this game has much more than technical issues that made it a disappointment. The bugs and unpolished aspects weren't my own issues, I didn't like the story(played it safe and rehashed what the other games already did), the characters and how some things got downgraded. I know of the bugs and animations (pre patch) but they weren't my own issues cause I'm very tolerant of that after mcc and a few other games being so bug heavy. furthermore, you're not really fun to talk to if all you do is reference murder on the devs. Why not ignore it? You do think they're a "minority" don't you? It comes with the job, bioware are able to handle it and they're not even close to being the only ones to get threatened, those people doing the threats are a joke anyways, they can talk all they want but I don't see "game developer found dead" on the news.

Not really. If those articles are wrong, and DLC comes out, I'll reinstall. I have unlimited GB's from my ISP, and the install speed was around 15 MB/s when the trial version came out. No harm, no foul. In the meantime, I could use the HD space. As I explained in my post, I've played the game before and after the major patches, and my considered review after 80+ hours is, "Meh". I've played better, I've played worse. I'll play the DLC if it comes out, just to tie up loose ends. Sooooo....on one hand, the gaming media is apparently an insatiable mob who want to destroy not just games, but also studios and developers, for nothing more than sheer spite, AND, according to the GamerGate crowd, they're also a pack of shameless money-grubbing man-haters who are engaged in an incestuous relationship with the gaming media that would make the Lannisters and Targaryans blush? I'm.....somewhat confused.

There are too many people in this topic who have never played Raven's Cry. Or non-modded versions of Troika's games like VtM: Bloodlines and Temple of Elemental Evil. VtM: Bloodlines. That was a hell of a car crash pre-fan-fixes. Loves that game.

It's kinda hard to say. The "They" in "They want the game to be a failure, and will spread as much misinformation as they can.... " looks to me to be a reference to gaming media. That's what I was referring to when I talked about smoke and fire. I could care less what Average Joe/Jane Gamer says. I care a lot more what respected Kotaku and Eurogamer reporters write. So, I took it to be a comment on the Kotaku and Eurogamer articles, not a larger group of gamers. Apologies if I read that wrong.

By "they", I'm pretty sure @fluffymothsiren meant specific section of online crowd who just enjoys spreading misinformation to cause failures of games and companies, just to enjoy in misery of others and/or out of some petty revenge fantasy born out of irrational and illogical reasons. Also Kotaku reporters? Respected? LOL!

Doesn't make Bioware look good imo either way you look at it. Either they are bunkered down letting a rumour of DLC absence proliferate when they plan to release some or they are bunkered down refusing to be honest with their customers about the usual expected DLC not being produced.

ETA: ... or they just really don't know yet because they've got some new VAs for the DLC that can't or won't sign because of the VA strike and they have no idea when the VA strike will end to enable them to finish producction... and they don't want to announce anything before they actually know themselves what's going to happen.

Or they're going to reveal it at Montreal Comic-Con this weekend. We can go around and around with this speculation.
Just as Casey Hudson and Mac Walters wanted. All the speculations!

When we can, we will. That's what Melo wrote in response on twitter when people kept asking for details. There's no implication in there that nothing is coming. Also, if nothing is planned, saying nothing is planned wouldn't actually be an issue. This is why I am sure it is. Even though people have played with the idea of why they would not say nothing is coming and people have decided they wouldn't say anything, at this point, it wouldn't matter at all if nothing was coming. So to me, the lack of acknowledgement is more along the lines of taking silence as confirmation that DLC is coming.

Since Bioware has neither confirmed nor denied future DLC, I'll wait to hear from them rather than take any notice of the various dodgy articles on the Internet.

Nothing can be as bad as the initial PC release of GTA IV. It wouldn't even start,,and if it did graphics issues galore. Batman Arkham Knight PC release would like to have a word with you. Yeah I know about that one but I thought the GTA one was worse. I could be wrong though.

Arkham Knight, in other hand, had to have been completely pulled away from Steam and then re-released. That game was massively broken on release, as small 3rd party Ukrainian software studio didn't had enough time nor manpower to port that game properly to PC.

I haven't yet finished Arkham City. It is the best Arkham game, yes. But I do strongly recommend to finish all previous Arkham games first.
