The price of Inquisition dropped pretty fast and quickly after release. That, combined with silence from BioWare, convinced fans that there wasn't going to be a DLC. And there were three. It worked in my case. I was convinced last time that Inquisition was a big mess and I moved on. I finally played the DLC a few months ago and I regret not waiting. Coordinated pessimism took this fool for a ride. Ended up being game of the year as well. Admittedly in a not very strong year but still it's an achievement |

Revenue recognition rules do not apply to paid DLC. Stop saying this. It is when you promise free updates to paid-for content that you have expanded your "contractual obligation" to the customer. And why in the world would you think that? DLC revenue is recognized in the fiscal quarter it's released, not in the fiscal quarter the main game is released. Ended up being game of the year as well. Admittedly in a not very strong year but still it's an achievement I mocked that win. I was upset because honestly the way the game was released on PC, I thought it would be more of a disservice to the studio, but after the DLC, I agree the game deserved all the accolades. yeah it did as it is a really good game I still enjoy playing it as I have a playthrough on the go on it atm and some others planned as well. Not playing atm as I'm working through ome quests on my latest run of MEA. I'm just kind of alternating between the 2 atm doing it like doing a few quests on MEA then doing a few on DAI kind of thing. Although I'm kind of at opposite ends on each of the games atm as I'm near the end of MEA in my latest run and in DAI I haven't quiet made it out of Haven yet. Although my next big DAI quest is In your heart shall burn so will be heading to Skyhold during my next stint on that game. |

Even then, I doubt they will announce a DLC at brief 45 minute Q&A. But some clarifications and potential teases and hints are likely. |

If we get to the end of August and there's still no word then yes the odds are pretty low. |

I'll wait for an indefinite period of time. If it happens ever, I'll be happy about it and buy it. If it doesn't happen, I'll just keep playing the game as it is. If it takes a long time, I'll probably also have played/be playing other games - sure. It's not like I'm stopping my life to wait on a DLC; but if they do a DLC at any time in the future, I know that I like this game enough that I'd go back and play it again at that time to play the DLC. I really have nothing to lose by being "indefinitely" hopeful and patient on this... just waiting actually costs me nothing. |
