In other words, you're like the Turian councelor: "Ah yes, 'plot holes', we've already dismissed that claim". No I just have a different view on what is/isn't s plot hole. At best imo the only plot hole is the council saying "we know he's hitting the Citadel" before that is revealed. As I've said the plot isn't as good as the other games but not as full of holes as you claim. Except "Plot Hole" is a literary phrase and has a literary definition. It's not subjective. You either see it or you don't. When you say you have a different view of what a plot hole is, it's the equivalent of saying, for example: "I choose to define the word 'bread' differently than everyone else." Ergo: Turian Councilor refusing to see evidence that was, at one point, right in front of him. Just an FYI, you can in fact be critical of a game and still love it. I'm currently in the middle of another OT playthrough, but I acknowledge it's flaws.

That said the only plot hole I see is the one I mentioned. The other issues could be described as plot devices. Very different.

Arrr matey. I plan on "enjoying" more, if it happens, dlc via stream services/other people's misfortune. Thanks Grif! *wink* ME1 had the best main story, ME2 had better character moments, ME3....the atmosphere was good. ME:A....I liked vanguard punching things thanks to redbox. RIP Blockbuster, you never caught that train quick enough. Edit: I might buy ME:A eventually. But that will be when it hits 20 special status. Mostly likely by then it might be the "complete" edition.

Here's a thought? AI gets another new installment after some DLC, and then returns to the MW to see what is left of it after the ending(s). Then a new Milky Way sequel? The remnant are actually the builders of the reapers, and the AI takes control of them if they are still there and agressive. (yeah I know one of the endings is synthesis, which would actually make co-existence with the AI even easier). If not Shepard, perhaps one of His/Her Descendants, and partner up with the Ryder descendants! The game could go on. Just a thought everybody...

Your comment here made me come up with my own little thing about how they could have retconned the ME3 ending down to one and probably still would have had the same reception that Andromeda received. I won't bother anyone with the details. HOWEVER, your comment also evoked a thought: about SAM. Brushing aside the Halo similarity, isn't this relationship between SAM and Ryder pretty much a rudimentary implementation of Synthesis? And, as much as I love my Shep, there should never be another game with her in it. Her, Liara and Garrus are on a beach somewhere. Living off the royalties from the vids.

Yeah I like the idea of the former protagonist and allies at least getting to do something ordinary for a while. Ordinary's good. I mean, Zaeed frakkin' Massani got to go relax somewhere. Why can't Shep?

RIP Mass Effect. We will always have Lair of the Shadow Broker. Get over yourself. I love the original 80s Transformers cartoon but Hasbro has been very blunt that they aren't doing a sequel or a follow-up to it even though it would probably make a lot of money for them, but I don't hate them for not giving me what I want. Instead they offered fans much better shows like Transformers: Beast Wars, Transformers: Beast Machines, Transformers: Animated, and Transformers: Prime. If you want to stay rooted only to the first version of any media property, then you will never allow a series or franchise to improve, mature, and get better, and that also means you have screw up and make mistakes, like the 5 Micheal Bay movies and the 2001 version of The Transformers: Robots in Disguise and Transformers: Energon. And even those "bad" Transformers movies and shows have a few redeeming features, that if anything else tells Hasbro what NOT to do with the Transformers. Sometimes you have to make mistakes and learn from those mistakes in order to make the franchise better.

The atmosphere was fun for a DLC, I just think it was a mistake by Bioware making an entire game with that atmosphere.

It really could have been tied in with Arrival, though it probably didn't even exist at the time. Had it really been planned out to be there early in the trilogy's production it would probably have shown up in the LotSB DLC. It makes the most sense to be there.

MEA2 is still the most plausible candidate for an ME5. While the problems with using the MW setting diminish as trilogy fans leave the series, leave gaming or just plain die, their departures also diminish the attraction of using the MW setting. I suppose there's a sweet spot where most potential buyers kinda sorta remember ME without really knowing or caring about the details, but I don't think we get there for another decade.
