Yeah, the new batarian has Snap Freeze, Flak, and Conc Shot. Passives same as human Soldier.

They gave the Batarian Snap Freeze without the Snap Freeze Passive that HumEng has, which is the only reason to ever use Cryo Beam. LOL.

Just wondering something, if memory serves one of the major things to be put in this game was that all species that had more than one gender would have them depicted in-game, would this mean then that the batguard would be a batfem? If so, not sure how I'd feel about the first time seeing a batfem would only be in MP.

I would've liked to have seen more new abilities too, but keep in mind that several characters have passives that make them play much differently than their active abilities alone would lead one to expect.

The community's reaction when the Examplar's abilities were mined ranged from "meh" to "are you fucking kidding?!?!" and he turned out to be pretty badass. The Gladiator also wouldn't be anything special without the hammer - Pull, Nova, and Annihilation make for a pretty underwhelming combination without that wrinkle.

At the same time, even with passives, the only thing, if that character doesn't have a whole set of new abilities, that makes that character ANY different (fun) is that moment when passive works. The new batarian is nice, but at the same time, I've used flak cannon and concussive shot. Snap freeze is nice, but a whole "new" arsenal of abilities would have been better. I would have taken ANYTHING that was different than what every other kit had, even if it somewhat was crap. It being different was what makes them awesome.

For instance, I can't stand using the angara insurgent, I think he's crap( for my playstyle), but I'm glad others can use him, he's fantastic now in platinum.
