It's up to YOU to find out and determine that. Though considering you quit the game 10 hours in you may never know. Again, that's what other reviews and podcasts can supplement - saves me from wasting my time. But that's what they think. You might feel differently if you played the rest of the game.

It boils down to the tone and humour infused in the game - my opinion won't change on that. And giantbombs review in particular was lock-step in line with mine - he took the bullet for me. He's the hero I didn't deserve. Thanks Brad. www.giantbomb.com/reviews/mass-effect-andromeda-review/1900-762/

Way off topic but I considered buying that is it good? I only played the first episode since it was free on Xbox live. I personally found it very cheesy and cringeworthy with the characters and dialogue but I enjoyed the first episode. You should talk to others who went through the first season for a more complete review

You didn't really just type that did you? Wait, you did. It's not a bad thing like you seem to think it is - it just means the poster's opinions aren't all that informed and probably display a skewed bias due to limited experience. It'd be like my grandpa giving me feedback on the game - it's his opinion, I respect it, but it will be uninformed and lack understanding in most cases. Because he may not enjoy the first few hours Mass Effect means he sounds like a casual gamer? Seriously?

It jumps from creepy/ominous to absurdist to hilarious and ends with 3 full min of black loading screen. Very Lynchian. Unintentional art.

It doesn't matter if he doesn't like them then that's his perspective. Again, you don't read. He compared them to Kotaku from the perspective that kotaku is unreliable, when if you know anything about the industry, such a comparison is laughable. Giant bomb started the whole "don't trust gaming websites" trend that you yourself defend based on them standing up to corruption.

But if he geniinely feels that GiantBomb went the way of Kotaku then I'm sure he has his reasons. And i definitely wouldn't be surprised if they did.

I'd say it's more likely he refuted them solely because he assumed I liked them - and I clearly can't be trusted. Could be wrong, perhaps he was an ardent follower of their site and did a 180 at some point. I doubt it though.

TBH it's hard to trust any review site these days. I just have not found any reliable site them included.

Mine was in response to you calling me- someone who started gaming on a commodroe 64 in 1987 - a 'casual gamer', whatever the fuck that is.

Note you don't play a beefcake mcedgelord, so if you want that don't bother. Also, don't be suikoden and play the game for longer than 10 hours.

My first game was Super Mario on an NES I bought with my saved allowance when I was 7 in'89. But since then I've played the Origibsl Atari, Snes, game boy, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, Master System, Sega CD, the 32x, N64, GameCube, PS1, PS2, Xbox, Xbox360,and Xbox One S. Oh and the Wii. I'm mostly a PC gamer since 2006 but still play consoles for certain games. So I'm not a noob either.

Well I never referenced you as a casual gamer so I'm not sure what you're on about. You could always use the google to figure out what a casual gamer is. You clearly have an opinion on what it is or you wouldn't have been so offended (although again, it was never directed at you, so I'm not sure why you were).

The first ten hours of mass effect 1 for me were really shit. I first played it in 2013, not knowing anything about it or the furore around ME3, after picking it up cheap on steam. Just as well I didn't do a suikoden and quit to watch the rest on youtube to form my judgment eh. You sound like more of a casual gamer then - if you've played enough games and know what you like/dislike/whatscrap - you can probably make more efficient decisions/conclusions regarding a game. It's also unreasonable to expect a customer to sink 100 hours into something to see if it gets better - if Bioware failed in the crucial first ten... that's on them. Try again.
