I see only one out of four comments that I would consider to be harassment.

Sure, they ain't nice, but the other three a criticizing the job that these people thought this woman did.

Out of curiosity, which of these is actually harassment to you?

I can't decide if we've gotten worse, or if gamers have always sucked and it's just easier to organize the awfulness now.

The last two are completely out of bounds.  I'm going to assume the 3rd one is the one you consider harassment, but how does telling someone they only got their job because they're a woman fall under criticizing her job on the game.

No need to be ashamed...there will always be a few nutjobs out there. None of us arethe spokesperson for these idiots. It's ok to criticize any game based on it's merits, animations/performance/story etc....but you have to respectful about it. Of course MEA seen it's share of funny gif's following it's release, but eh the game kinda asked for that by releasing the game practically unfinished.

Those comments made in that link above tho are just raunchy and no class and you cannot have a decent debate or conversation about the game in general with jerks like that. I was a member of website called Helldescent....it was a site dedicated to Silent Hill franchise and the dev's from that series used to come have conversations with us, ask about what we would like to see in a SH game, feedback. They even gave gamer's a chance to design a statue for the game "Downpour" and the winner's statue would be used or seen in the game itself.

Things went waaay left when the developmet of BOM (book of memories) came about tho....it was the first MP SH game for the series and alot of us (myself included) wasn't big on a MP SH game. We respectfully voiced our concerns, but one member actually launched death threats at the developer and the site never really recovered after that and this was after the mods/owners banned the user....apologies went out to the deveopler, but things was never really good after that and the site shut down.

Just saying that there are crazy people and fans for every medium or franchise...Star Wars/ Star Trek..Game of Thrones....pick your franchise and i guarantee there is a nut waiting to off somebody or commit suicide if a certain character or if a certain game isn't implemented in a way he/she sees fit....

The more I read about Anita (as to which I will to refer only as "professional victim"), the more I believe she is a very cunning and self-serving person hiding behind honest, common sense goals. She's more of a detriment to her own movement and yet her personal fortunes keep rising. That deal with Sargon (who I know little about except he's a pretentious freak) was to watch a viper strike when feeling threatened. (Totally off-topic and away from the OP. I'm just communicating something I learned from Smilesja.)

Why would you not bother going to the effort of at least putting actual screenshots in? Very odd.

Why? I'm in my mid 50ies and have no problem saying I'm a gamer. There are lots and lots of people from my generation being into video gaming. We saw it's birth after all, starting in the mid 70ies with pong, over Atari to the first real PCs.

Number 3 is most certainly sexual harassment. The other 3 are mean-spirited, but not harassment under any legal definition.

There is a very real push to hire based on "diversity" instead of based on qualifications these days. I see it all to often in my professional life.

The woman in question is a cosplayer, but had herself pegged as the Lead Animator on ME:A before she took that information down and BioWare released a statement. Let's say for a second (as a hypothetical since whether she did or did not work on ME:A's animations is nebulous) that she was Lead Animator. How does a cosplayer get that job? It isn't much of a logical leap to assume that that job was bestowed based on sex, not skill.
