"Electronic Arts has some plans for the upcoming Gamescom conference in August. It’s announced a live show on August 21st that starts at 9:30 AM PT/12:30 PM ET/6:30 CEST that will feature some live matches, new gameplay footage and a few surprises." This could be the DLC you've been waiting for - if not, I think that might be it for Andromeda. gamingbolt.com/ea-gamescom-conference-scheduled-for-august-21st

I guess this heat stretch has gotten to me. It's 85 degrees at 1:34am at night. I'm going to face hotter weather for six months in just 11 days.

I'm trying to be positive here - what with Casey back in charge, DLC might not be all that bad.

Suikoden, please... play the game. Find the areas you disliked and write about them. That's helpful. Kicking BioWare is also fine by me... once you made your point. Your point is made. To the point now, that I want to literally headbutt you. You're funny. You are funny, but stop being mean. You can be real funny and provide great sources of entertainment. It's four months... and you're still at it. That's not commendable. Do better. Please.

As much as I am appreciating your newly turned over leaf and all, there is no way Casey Hudson's rehiring by BioWare would effect any DLC currently in development (IE that coming out around the time of Gamescom) such DLC is likely already late in production and may even be 'finished'. Granted I suppose there is an off chance, if the decision makers decided no MEA DLC that he could change their mind and then take it from there, but such a DLC would likely be a little while out.

Not sure how much of those can be addressed in a DLC, or if they should bother addressing them in a DLC, but in a sequel? sure. Though then again Blood and Wine was a severe lightening of the tone as compared to the base game of the Witcher so its...possible.

There is so much disinformation out there regarding Andromeda from my perspective. So much SJW garbage, so much misinformation regarding sales, its reception - everything. This is a vacuum of positivity for Andromeda on the internet - the hardcore of the hardcore, and information related on this site will spread. I'm merely trying to make sure that what's spread is accurate. You might not agree with me on what I consider accurate - and frankly I don't care - I just want to get the information out there that people can interpret how they will. More than anything, what drives me the most, is how many people are "settling" for the mediocrity that is Andromeda. Even praising it for it's faults - shunning all critical thinking And attempts at dialogue. Constructive criticism veiled in "Andromeda is teh best thing ever" isn't doing the devs any favours. I want them to hear loud and clear that they fucked up and that this lack of quality is not acceptable.

I think people often fail to realize that I love Mass Effect as much as them. Think about what it's like to potentially hate what BioWare has done to Andromeda as much as you personally might love it, and how you would react as a fan. Would you just... give up on it and play another series? Then you were never a fan in the first place.

Ah so that is your perspective. One of many... I think people often fail to realize that I love Mass Effect as much as them. Think about what it's like to potentially hate what BioWare has done to Andromeda as much as you personally might love it, and how you would react as a fan. Would you just... give up on it and play another series? Then you were never a fan in the first place. Now there's an interesting question. I mean the best way I can answer it is to give you examples. With Mass Effect 3 I hated the ending, at least as it was originally presented. I remember sitting watching the opening credits role with a feeling of 'ok that was rather awesome what is all the hate about' and then replaying it and realizing all the endings were pretty much the same, but also philosophically different, how they were forced on and etc etc etc. The EC restored the ending a bit, it made the game playable again enough where since I have gotten like 4 PTs of the game, but it still left a very bitter taste in my mouth. Bitter enough that I was very skeptical towards both DAI and MEA, bitter enough to where I wrote a 54 chapter fan fic over it, bitter enough to where I even joined in on official protests, something I have rarely ever done on any other issue. With Ace Combat, Ace Combat is one of my favorite game series of all time. ike no 4 with my introduction to BioShock, ME, and DA, but before I got my hands on the PS3 the series was my BioWare. Ace Combat Assault Horizon I felt was a big let down in many many ways, but...well I do not stalk their message boards mentioning how big of a failure I thought it was, and I still am looking forward to Ace Combat 7. And more recently still, with Doctor Who, they have cast a woman in the role of the Doctor. I am not exactly...thriled with the decision, and I have posted on the topic on FB and other places, but I hope she/ and the show proves me wrong and continues to prosper. Which is where I think there is a lot of conflict reigns on this forum because you are NOT coming off as someone who hopes BioWare succeeds and learns from their errors with MEA, you are coming off as someone who hopes they fail. Hopes there is never another ME game. Hopes people lose their jobs over this. Etc. And I would never wish most of that on my worse enemy. Yes, if a series got bad enough I would just wash my hands of it, washed my hands of Falling Skies when I thought it was getting boring, but I did not constantly dance on the graves of my enemies and hope the series would suck...it just wasn't for me.

Not convinced that DLC launches are built around conferences. Anthem won't be at Gamescom
So would be surprised to see any BioWare IP announcements at Gamescom.

lol I just realized I did not actually comment on the topic of my thread. lol.
Either way my thoughts are the same as they have always been. I doubt EA/ Bio will announce DLC at the conference itself but concurrent with the conference. If they do so at all. And the August 21st deadline seems to fit in with an early September launch for DLC HOWEVER it may even go later so I see no reason for us fans to panic if we don't get anything.

Wanting people fired is harsh - but I'd direct such a perspective at the higher ups in charge of Andromeda's vision which impacted how it turned it. Until then, I'll keep dancing

Feel what you will about the game but there are enough dangling plot threads to...*sigh*...at least make me want to see them do more.
