Like the title says, next Thursday EA will release their results for the First Quarter Fiscal Year 2018. I think it's a fair guess that Mass Effect: Andromeda will be mentioned in some capacity; at the very least they will mention the " $53 million of net sales related to premium additions" that they had originally intended to capture in Q4 2017 and were pushed to Q1 2018 and how much Andromeda contributed to the forecasted $750 million net sales (hmm... there could be a correlation with the latest discount). Personally, I would also expect EA to expand on their " expectations for Mass Effect"; at this point, single player DLC has to be the elephant in the room so even if EA refuses to comment on this I suspect the question is bound to pop up in the Q&A. Do you think it's reasonable to expect EA will mention SP DLC plans for Andromeda next Thursday or will they continue to dance around the subject? And if the latter, what, if anything, can we read from this? As an aside, it's curious to note that in the press release announcing the conference call, in the "About Electronic Arts" section, you can read the following: I was surprised there was no mention of Mass Effect. Then again, there was no mention either in the press releases for Q3 and Q4 FY17. Press ReleaseEA Investor RelationsFull transcript for Q4 FY17

I'd say it's nothing new. But anyway, will they talk about the subject of SP DLC or Mass Effect as a whole? Not as part of their presentation. At least, not as a highlighted part of their presentation. They'll talk about SW Battlefront II, the new Battlefield 1 DLC, Madden, FIFA, and other EA stuff. If someone asks explicitly about Mass Effect, they will probably say approximately the same thing they did in the last report, dancing around the question of DLC and sequels. I doubt that the earnings report will be a source of information for either.

The question is, and I have not looked into the answer for this, does Bioware generally announce DLC at events? Or just kind of whenever? I don't really remember them announcing DLC at gamescon or comiccon or anything before, but my memory is shite.

They've announced content for SWTOR at E3 in the past but not so sure about Dragon Age or Mass Effect. Trespasser was announced at Pax (not sure which Pax). BioWare does have tendency to announce/release dlc relatively close to each other. We've seen that with the patches for MEA. They may bitting their time because it's way too soon on the matter. No they just announce/release 9/10 times.

Do you think it's reasonable to expect EA will mention SP DLC plans for Andromeda next Thursday or will they continue to dance around the subject? And if the latter, what, if anything, can we read from this? They won't mention anything in this kind of setting. EA isn't Bioware. Bioware is only a branch of EA and this presentation is about EA's results and not possible future plans for any franchise.

My guess it won't be mentioned unless an analyst specifically asks about the status of the Mass Effect franchise.
Anyway, just found this Reddit post collecting everything we know about Mass Effect: Andromeda's initial sales numbers if anyone's interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/masseffect/comments/6b8vw1/no_spoilers_andromeda_sales_data_thread/
TL;DR
According to this information, the financial data for Q4 seems to suggest MEA sold in the vicinity of 2.5 million units in the first week. That doesn't include 53$ million in sales recorded in Q4, but being counted in Q1 (The call specifies that these were related to "premium editions" of the game. Deluxe editions cost $70 and Super Deluxe cost $100, so dividing $53 million by 90$ price point and you get about 580,000). So it looks like MEA sold at or close to 3 million copies in the first week.
