It may still get mentioned in the investors questions.

I don't see why they would mention it in the earnings. The lion's share of the sales would have been last quarter. But they should have an analyst call where they take questions. That would be where someone may mention something about ME.

It may still get mentioned in the investors questions. Think of it this way, if it's not being mentioned that's as much a good thing as it is a bad thing. Only two ways a game gets mentioned in quarterly calls; either it's a stupid success or it's a flaming financial failure. Not being mentioned isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I'd be surprised if questions aren't asked about it though, it's a AAA game that didn't get a mention, which is unusual. If I was an investor, I'd want to know why.

It is like one of their only AAA games this year. Wouldn't they want to give an update on how sales have been since launch? I mean, who other AAA title between now and May from EA came out?

Doubtful. ME:A's financials would have mostly been captured in FY17 Q4. This is a FY18 Q1 report. I thought they mentioned it being pushed back to Q1 in the last financial reveal. Just revenue from deluxe edition sales. The rest was recognized last quarter. Them not mentioning the game last quarter was more surprising to me than this quarter.

Doubtful. ME:A's financials would have mostly been captured in FY17 Q4. This is a FY18 Q1 report. I thought they mentioned it being pushed back to Q1 in the last financial reveal. $53 million from Premium Edition sales were pushed back to FY18 Q1. All other income from release was claimed in FY17 Q4.

I mean they could have still talked stats like avg number of people playing MP and how popular it is. Or how many total hrs has been locked into the SP campaign etc. I mean they could have mentioned SOMETHING. This is the ME brand we are talking about, not some 1bit title that wasnt really expected to push anything but Mass Effect!

They mention Andromeda in the Prepared Comments. They simply state it was a contributor to their sales goal but don't elaborate.

Some lines that stood out for me: - Highest Q1 operating cash flow in EA history.
- Our growing live services have fundamentally changed our business model, resulting in a more stable and predictable cash flow, all year round.
- Net sales for the quarter were $775 million, up $93 million on the prior year, and $25 million above our guidance.
- The outperformance relative to guidance was driven by Ultimate Team, The Sims 4 and FIFA Online 3.
- Year-on-year growth was driven by the Mass Effect: Andromeda sales captured in the quarter and by FIFA.
- Digital net sales were $681 million, a new record for the first quarter, and up $113 million on the year-ago period.
- The increase reflects strength in live services, together with our Mobile business. In addition, Mass Effect: Andromeda was a significant contributor.
- Full game PC and console downloads generated net sales of $111 million, 32% higher than last year. This was driven by Mass Effect: Andromeda sales captured in the quarter.
- In conclusion, we are delighted with the performance of our business in the first quarter.
- As we continue to pioneer for our players, our portfolio will expand in FY19 and beyond. We will deliver stories that you’re able to play, like the Star Wars action-adventure game being developed by the Visceral Games team. Anthem, our new IP from BioWare, will introduce a contiguous open world that is ever-changing and influenced by players, as they band together and support each other in their journeys.

This is the ME brand we are talking about, not some 1bit title that wasnt really expected to push anything but Mass Effect! If there is nothing positive to report, they won't mention it at all. And by positive I mean very positive as in exceeding expectations. Business as usual won't get a mention, failure won't get a mention unless it's such a spectacular one that forces them to downgrade their expectations, thereby demanding an explanation.
