EA Q1 2018 Results (MEA 'significant contributor')

It is at least likely to be closer since the figure does account for "full game" sales and does not include items, such as DLC.  I know my pattern is that I buy the game as a disc, but then just download any DLC digitally through Xbox Live.  I did know some people who used to go back to the store and get purchase codes so that they could download DLC without actually entering credit card info, but that's getting rarer as more people have either become less squimish about such things or set up alternative accounts, such as paypal.

The real bottom line here is that we really don't have enough information to accurately fill in the blanks either way.  I also don't see why anyone should be flipping out either way either.  The only real strategy here is just to wait to see when/if a DLC is announced.  On a positive note, there is absolutely no indication in the report that EA is upset over ME:A sales figures.  Chances are good then that, for Bioware, it's pretty much business as usual.

With the Edmonton Journal article about Bioware seeking payroll related tax credits in Alberta back in March:

This may be a reason for them scaling back the Bioware Montreal office that has nothing to do with ME:A sales.  That is, Bioware may now find it cheaper to employ people in Edmonton because the Alberta government may be chipping in a tax-credit portion now.
