The Angarans explain that their entire fleet of Warship size things were destroyed andw iped out in the initial invasion.<- this I totally get. This probably included major ship yard ports? <- more of an assumption on my part.
That angaran pirate didn't beat some kett up and steal the ship. They found a derelict abandoned peice of trash the Kett threw away. The whole reason it's constantly malfunctioning, and then blows up, is explained by this. Liam mentions it at least twice during the mission calling it a derelict, then the prisoners discuss it, and Liam cracks a Classic Car joke.
If you'e going to bash the game for it's flaws, don't throw out their in game explainations (whether weak or not) to help support your review intentions.

The problem is the glassdoor reviews and rumors have it as more complicated than that. I don't think Edmonton helped them if anything I think Edmonton set them up for failure. We have some pretty troubling things being said about how staff were bullied, HR didn't actually help, and when there were known issues with the project leadership in Edmonton gave them poor support. That basically they lost tons of people over active conflicts with the Edmonton office. I have no doubt that leadership in Edmonton is just as much at fault as Montreal. Likely will not get any sort of consequences for it. Which is exactly why supporting bioware in the future is a poor investment.

bossattack, I'm 20 minutes into the video, and I'm already getting the same feeling I got from the previous two. That feeling is, "I don't agree completely with everything he's saying, but I agree broadly with his assessments." Your vids are well done. It's clear that you put a lot of thought into these. I really enjoy the examples you pull from other works within the genre, even if I don't always agree that the comparisons are 100% appropriate. My only suggestion for change would be that the snippets of gameplay in this vid sometimes run too long or get repetitive. Sometimes you'd already nailed the point, and didn't need another 30 seconds of game vids. Great videos! I really enjoy MEA, despite its flaws. That said, I'm not blind to its flaws and really enjoy detailed discussions and analyses like this. Thanks for putting so much thought into this, and for sharing it with the rest of us.

I kinda expected something different from #3. More like what happened during development, its effects on the outcome, the signs that told about it and conclusions what to watch out for when hyped or interested in games. Instead it kinda loses itself in a too minute critique of the game, imo.

Waiting on part 4 Heh, I know. It's coming, I've just been busy. I should be done writing up the script by the end of the weekend. It's actually editing the video that has had me putting it off, it's going to be a daunting challenge. A month ago (I actually can't believe it's been a month) when I was doing Part 3 I thought I'd be able to say everything about Andromeda in one big third part. Of course, I suddenly realized just how much there was to talk about with just regards to the main story. And, now that I've been writing up this final video I realize how much is left to talk about. I will say this, part of this last video will touch upon the subject of "SJWs." I didn't think I'd have to discuss this but I'm tired of seeing comments even in my videos that state, "Mass Effect was ruined my SJWs." Not only is it a ridiculous, lazy, and nonsensical argument; it's actually the exact opposite of the problem Andromeda has. So, look forward to that fun discussion. It's almost as dumb as "Star Trek was ruined by SJWs," only someone who has never watched a Star Trek TV series or who understands nothing of what Star Trek is about could make such a claim.

I wanted to do my own in-depth analysis because nothing I'd seen so far touched on all of the reasons why Andromeda was so ill-received, especially as it relates to past BioWare titles. Really? I find that very hard to believe.

Holy HELL, I've finally finished this final video regarding my breakdown of BioWare Montreal and Mass Effect Andromeda. Sorry for the wait, it turned out to take much longer than expected due to a combination of both real life issues and the overall complexity of this final video. I had no idea when I started making it that it would end up being basically 2 hours long. Jeeeez. Any way, I put a lot of work into this final video and I suspect the comments section will be "fun" giving all the topics explored. Any way, let me know what you think.

Nicely done....i would say that you didn't need to insert laugh tracks or little quips like..."wtf?" The narrative alone set examples that spoke for themselves and simply showing the in-game flaws spoke volumes for itself and would have made your arguments more compelling and leaving viewers time to reflect on said subject. Outside of that tho...i agree with just about everything mentioned here. I always noticed the camera work or cinematography of this game compared to say ME2 & 3. Cutscenes in Andromeda involve ALOT of characters standing around in static positions showing very little to no emotions at all...a complete contrast to how these scenarios was handled in past games. The sidequests which in terms of finality, was a pressing issue as well with no conclusions or anything of significance after you complete the mission...just some exp and no cutscene....just silence and on to the next. The Krogan mission was a perfect example of how past games followed up with past missions completed in the game...as in Grunt's mission, you can have a full fledged conversation with that Krogan in the aftermath of his mission. I also agree that for this to be a mission/game about exploration, it made "0" sense for the Tempest not to have weapons.....you are traveling to an unknown galaxy and the ship you are in has no weapons? I could go on....but again overall nicely done!....
