Super Metroid is widely regarded as the best game of all time by the same game critics who's opinions hold so much worth to you. Also, Super Metroid is a better game then ME:A. Then why are you comparing it to Andromeda? You should be comparing Andromeda to its metacritic peers, like Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin, and Kitty Powers' Matchmaker (although the latter received better reviews than Andromeda so that might not be fair either). Never compared it to ME:A. Only did in the quoted post because it is the GOAT. My only reason of mention it at all was to counter to your weak ass excuse about age as to why ME:A gameplay > ME1 gameplay. As always, no matter what anyone has said, said, or will say, you will only ever see your own point of view and will turn the most insane mental gymnastic, ignore points, & cherrypick things out of posts, no matter how cognizant, in order to preserve it. Lose the chip on your shoulder and quit acting like an ass.

What's sad is that a ten year old Mass Effect 1 is still better in so many ways when contrasted against Andromeda. And you probably haven't even played Kitty Powers' Matchmaker anyways (a solid 72% on metacritic btw). Maybe it will even get DLC!

Hell if anything i give MEA the slight advantage over TW 3. From a gameplay perspective (TW3's combat was horrible) I have to agree but I'd be damned if the characters overall interactions and facial graphics weren't almost god like. perhaps. But i still prefer MEAs characters. As far as it goes the only things that TW 3 really hit out of the park was side quests and gameplay.

speaking broadly ME 1 and MEA were both the first installments off their respective series. And while it is fair to compare MEA to the later games...or even the trilogy as a whole...its much more appropriate to compare it to ME 1 because they did a lot of the same things. But its truly not. It's really just a 4th installment with a different engine and a lot of the same resources. You can compare it story wise from a new world perspective sure but from an over all game play one is reaching. Its had 10 years to refine said game play. ME1's gear, loot, and inventory system was bad for its time, let alone for now. (ME:A's has similar failings, but it's easier to avoid engaging with it.) I give the gameplay a pass, unlike Scepsis, because I consider it a failed experiment. "Pass" meaning that I just don't talk about it unless someone else is.

Here you go anarchy65, soloing two Banshees as a vanguard: No idea what my companions were doing, probably shooting at walls. Notice how unlike in ME:A they don't bother to close up and help. Now obviously I could have paused and micromanaged them like a puppeteer to come aid me, but that would break the flow of combat and stop my roleplay illusion of them being independent characters.

Does the MEU have Bag of Holding technology?

If anything i would have restricted it even more.

Does the MEU have Bag of Holding technology? Does there need to be a lore reasoning for why we can carry 500 things? It's a correct system simply cause I can at least pick my gear any time I want rather than going onto a ship over and over to do so. Gets tiresome that way.

How does not being able to control power use make them useless, exactly?

I found the companions in MEA about as useful as i did in the trilogy. Vetra Cora and Drack were especially so.

It's not just what "I like". Every review out there has called out the inventory system not being an actual inventory system for Andromeda cuz there's no changing gear in the fly like most games offer with an actual inventory system. If you want to go the route that it's what "I want" well then I'm not going to shy away from it 👍

Ok then, show a video of companions killing an ascendant. On their own. And it has to be in less than 5 seconds, because that's how long it would take for me to take it down using companions' powers on MET.

And "actual" is not really the right word either. Maybe "traditional"? As for the substance, I don't see the problem with limiting Ryder to whatever she can carry, as the game does. Ideally you should be able to load a bunch of spares into the Nomad and switch them there, but I suppose a double inventory layer would be a bit complex, so I'll take forward stations as a compromise.
