Didn't biotics in general get nerfed in Andromeda? (By this I mean biotics were less powerful in general compared to ME2 and ME3.) I'd say they are just as powerful as ever:

Enjoyed less on 2nd time. Insanity was just mostly bullet sponge and lots of quests bugged out.

Three complete playthroughs enjoyed it more and more. yeah asme here although in my case I'm sitting on 4 now but with each playthrough yes I enjoy it more especially now that the game runs much more smoothly. Got another 3 MEA playthroughs planned but I'm taking a break from ME after I'm done with ME3 to play a few other games.

I will find out starting this weekend. I was really not that impressed after my first play through, but I am going to give it another shot and see what happens. I have been an ME fan since ME was released, but I just didn't connect with Andromeda the way I did the original trilogy.

I'd say they are just as powerful as ever: Yeah I agree I love the biotics in MEA. In ME3 they're a bit weak I think but MEA has just as much kick with biotics as ME2 does. I love the biotics in ME2 as well. I love using shockwaves to toss husks around in the trilogy been doing that a lot in my current run as I'm playing an Adept atm and I love doing the same to the Kett and Remnant on MEA. The only thing I've found to be pretty much invulnerable to biotics is the Architects. BHut then they have vulnerabilities in other areas such as Tech attacks. BTW vonuber nice display of biotic firepower those guys didn't stand a chane. I'm hoping my next Sara can rip them apart as well as this.

Well I would say the first playthrought was my best, but that is not unique to andromeda the first playthrought is always the best in any bioware products because you just don't know what is going to happen, so there is a lot of surprise and sense of discovery. The second playthroughts does not have as much even if you take different choices BUT you have the knowledge of what to ignore, how to pass certain moment to make it quicker and more fun. I could not know for a third playthrought of MEA but what I know is that its usually the moment where I try to play as the different gender (played 2 scott, going for a sara next time). Which will make things different for me so there is always that (and also going for the jaal romance ). Frankly I liked both of my playthrought and I am excited to do a third one, I will do it in maybe a months two (always a good thing to let time passes between playthroughts unless exception)

My subsequent runs (not done with them yet, im pushing along 3 characters) are better because my expectations are tamer were they need to be and I can exercice choices where I know I will find some sort of diversity. I can leave behind the type of tasks that wont help shape the characters and do those that 'matter' (character-wise) instead of doing everything to learn where it leads or if it might be useful in the end.

Enjoyed my second playthrough a lot more than my first. Part of that was down to choosing Scott - I found I was really unimpressed with Sara's voice actress - but also I paced myself better, especially around the Kadara/Elaaden/Archon's ship cluster, and I was better at combat. It worked a lot better for me if I worked in a circle, clearing off a few missions at a time, then to complete clear a planet like Eos and then getting irritated when I had to go back there for one-off missions that sloooowly trickled through my inbox.

No. I didn't say that at all. I said that normal difficulty is too easy and the Storyline didn't make sense at times, because I had beaten everything too early. [Edit: You mean the weak ass Vanguard comment? Yeah well I started Vanguard on Insanity at lvl 1, it's not OP at lvl1. lol]
Yes! LOL, that's what I was curious about. I get it now. I don't know why it's forcing me to type inside the quote box, but it is.When it happens to me I break out by going to BBCode view.

You know it's worth pointing out that i feel its a lot harder to appreciate how well this game is written after just one PT. In PTs two and three i ran into more and more instances that made me appreciate the writing was. How they set up certain payoffs. How the quests and tasks on some of the planets combined to tell a cohesive story.

My first game I really struggled with the pacing. I took too long to do Hunting the Archon, which kept pretty much everything on hold, including my Vetra romance. Second game as Sara was also a pacing fiasco and I romanced Jaal, which I ended up not liking at all even after liking him in my first game as Scott. It wasn't until my 3rd game that I finally got a good grip on when to do what and I really liked the Cora romance. So, first three PTs each got better for me. Then I did two more. It kind of leveled off at three but I was still finding stuff I hadn't found before in PT #5.

Enjoyed less on 2nd time. Insanity was just mostly bullet sponge and lots of quests bugged out. I enjoyed it less, since as I said, there's really nothing new to discover. Nothing to do completely different for different outcomes. Nothing to say that makes people react entirely different. Nothing to resolve in a different way. The game is much more on rails than the mostly linear OT. I blame that on the absence of Paragon/Renegade and on the fact that most sidequests can only be resolved in one particular way. I also blame it on the Jack of all Trades approach that doesn't allow for different builds.

I like the game more post patching, but subsequent playthroughs haven't really changed anything. It's a decent game with a lot of wasted potential, but I love it.

I enjoy it more myself. Being able to better pace myself is a plus, but I also greatly enjoy unlocking/upgrading more and more weapons. I have more VHS augments than I know what to do with and that's the way I likes it.

I'm a huge fan of Mass Effect series as well as Dragon Age, so I spend a lot of hours playing these games. I finished Andormeda only once, and at this point I don't see a reason to play it once again. First few hours are great, but later it just get worse and worse and the only thing I could think of was "when this pointless side quests will end?". The main quest wasn't really bad, it was okay, so now, when I know the plot and how the games ends, there really isn't a point playing it again. I feel no attachment to companions and if I would like to play a shooter, then there are better games.

Prototype and X beyond the frontier. Definitely not this but to each their own.

I'm on my 2nd run...and that's because my ps3 hard-drive died on me (st least i'm hoping it's the hard-drive). Anyway...i felt the same way i've felt during my first run...the story in the beginning is REALLY hard to overcome and it takes a minute to get going,..the firsat few hours are a struggle to get through, but i'm finding i'm liking this 2nd playthrough slightly better since i have my armor sets and arsenal already set to go. I still unfortunately feel the same about Ryder, the characters and the story tho which i felt was lacking.....and some of the quests are too far stretched out between missions...you can easily get caught starting another quest while in the middle of another.....i guess even tho, i'm familiar with most of the quests, there is just something about seeing those clear diamonds/octagons on the map (unresolved quests)....i just need to complete them... . One thing hasn't changed tho and that is this game's visuals.... .....it was impressive before the patches, but since 1.09?....this game looks absolutely incredible....i've stopped and just adored the visuals multiple times throughout my 2nd run...the artists did an amazing job on that front. I agree with others that the game has pacing issues due to the nature of the side quests, but overall my stance is the same.....story/characters lacking, but a decent game overall 8/10....

Because even in my 13th playthrough of DAI I discovered a couple of new things I'd not found before and things and I love it when that happens. I really like when that sort of stuff happens. I had a couple of these moments in the original trilogy. But my favorite moment like this must have happened in Gothic 1. When I played it for the 5th or 6th time or so, I noticed a cliff face with a few ledges and I thought, hey, I might be able to climb up there. Took me a couple of tries but eventually I made it. Up there was a cave with a dude in it who was like "Man, what are you doing here? No one ever comes up here, that's why I like the place. Anyway, good job on finding me up here." Then he gave me some items, nothing special, just a few tidbits and sent me on my way. Brilliant! I almost feel like the internet took a little of the charm of these moments away, at least for people like me who keep up to date on games quite a bit. Within days/sometimes hours of release, you have so many guides to every secret online and in the gaming news. It makes it feel less special when you find stuff like this. I am not waiting to find something special like this on my second Andromeda run but even though I tried to be very thourough during my first run, I am sure I missed some corners. We'll see.

I'd enjoy new playthroughs more if I could completely skip Habitat-7 and the first Eos vault, just because I've done them so many times now, and it's the same bloody thing every time.
I still enjoy the other planets, but those 2 I'm so done with.
One good thing is I've gotten so quick at the puzzles now they barely slow me down. I had to stop and think while doing them the first couple times. :ulikeit:
