Ideally quit at ten minutes so you can spend time playing games that are actually worth your time and don't insult your intelligence. Like Zelda, or TW3, Horizon, etc. Which I did. ME: A is worth my time. I would have never guessed. My advice then, would be to play the game, and stop wasting your time with talking points aimed at my posts that you know I find laughable.

Oh yes. There's only a handful of you that continuously try and attack my posts (and then like each other's posts). Most people on this forum don't post at all. A "handful"? This is BSN's most popular subforum. Though, I'll admit that I'll focus my energy on DA4 (more DA4 as I'm more invested in that story then Anthem) and Anthem if there is no dlc. I like the idea that you think you single handedly made people "see the light". I'm a part of the process. And yes, there's just a handful of you that vehemently oppose me whenever you can.

The fact that you equate the two at all, is ludicrous to me. The dialogue, characters and story In the first ten hours are quite possibly the worst I've ever encountered in a videogame. It's like a bad junior high fan-fiction of Mass Effect. Well that's one opinion I suppose.

I agree with your analysis. If Anthem is not a successful franchise, something will have to be brought out of retirement, either ME or JE. They can only milk the DA for so many games (well, okay, they can do it forever, but a girl can hope, right?). They will want to have a sci-fi franchise imo, and ME is a great verse.
Of course I am secretly hoping that ME hiatus might give JE a chance. But in the fantasy world, they are likely to ride the DA horse, so... as someone who is not a DA fan, I'd rather see ME moved off the backburner sooner than seeing DA4, DA5, DA6, etc.
I think even BioWare recognizes the necessity of alternating properties, not just to give fans some variety, but also the team working on the games. I couldn't imagine how bored I'd become working on Dragon Age nonstop for decades. It's nice to switch things up and do something different. Anthem is now technically sci-fi, although Aaryn Flynn claims it's more "science fantasy" like Star Wars and the Marvel Universe. Mass Effect still has that more "realistic" science fiction niche, so I think its chances of returning are more likely than Jade Empire, which is just Chinese Mythology fantasy. Not that I'm against Jade Empire returning. I loved that game. I just see Mass Effect having a much better shot, given its install base is larger and more likely to bring in money. Unless you played Jade Empire on the original Xbox when it released in 2005 (or later when it was ported to PC in 2007), nobody knows what that game is. As I said, the chances of Mass Effect returning after Anthem and DA4 are pretty high. There's no way BioWare is going to create another new IP at this point.

I think a lot here are underestimating Mass Effect's likelihood of returning. While EA clearly plays a role, it's ultimately up to the General Manager of BioWare to determine what projects BioWare Edmonton and BioWare Austin will work on. It was under Aaryn Flynn's leadership that the franchise was being shelved for an unspecified amount of time. Casey Hudson, the creator of Mass Effect, has now become the General Manager of BioWare. Under his direction, I could envision Hudson making an attempt to revive the franchise after Anthem and DA4 are released. Even if Anthem is supported for the next decade, as EA seems to be alluding to, the studio (Edmonton) is large enough to work on more than one project at once. It's very possible that quite a few of the folks on DA4 could switch over to Mass Effect to repair the brand and give the franchise another chance. There's no guarantee that's going to happen, of course. That being said, nobody cares more about Mass Effect than Casey Hudson. With his return to the company, I think there's a good chance we could see Mass Effect again in the next five years. on the other hand that likely portends a return to the MW. Or a different team of writers which means the next game could vary wildly in quality.

on the other hand that likely portends a return to the MW. Or a different team of writers which means the next game could vary wildly in quality. Not necessarily. It was Hudson's idea to go to a new galaxy, so we would likely return to Andromeda. As far as the writers are concerned, as long as Drew Karpyshyn is involved, I'd be happy. He is a master when it comes to world building, and I could see him truly flesh out Andromeda in a way that does the franchise justice. I'm not sure who the Creative Director on the project would be, as I'm not sure how directly involved Casey Hudson would be. Mac Walters is still hanging around, but perhaps there are other possibilities. Whoever it is, they need to have a consistent vision that's workable and manageable. The MEA leadership had too much chaos and uncertainty for too long in the project's production phase.

I actually quoted the wrong post what I meant to quote is: I don't understand what your saying, since you think that anyways...and yet your still here? Seeing users come to the light and realize that the game is actually very mediocre is very satisfying. My hate for the game, based on my love for Mass Effect as a series, will allow me to stay on this forum until everyone else that loves the game has long left. Do you have proof for that? Anyway I have a good idea of what most of your posts say.

As I said, the chances of Mass Effect returning after Anthem and DA4 are pretty high. There's no way BioWare is going to create another new IP at this point. I absolutely agree with you that DA is taking up the same niche as JE would, but the thing is that the lore created for JE was extremely rich, vs DA is using itself up. User fatigue, as much as folks are not willing to admit it lumping it up under the "bad writing" and "safe choices" did contribute to Andromeda not being a successful release. I am pretty sure that it will be my reaction to DA4 (and already was to DA3) b/c I never was particularly fond of the setting, and I am already tired in advance at the thought of 100 more hours of Fade, Templars and mages.
Anthem imo is coming to replace the ME. Something has to be there to replace DA, and they are sitting on the IP for JE, and it is something that is novel and can easily be expanded into the contact with the West via Central Asia-like setting easily enough.
The monster compendium is outstanding, the artwork potential is endless with JE, and it is novel & can be moved in the timeline with a reboot without aggravating the fanbase at all. As you said, most of us either did not play it, or were not pissed at it.
Perhaps, the time will come for JE rebirth, before gambling on another ME. Or so I wish to believe, but my faith does not require you to believe what I believe.

Long wait. 500 Bio points says I outlast you. Once multiplayer dies out and Bioware officially puts the nail in the coffin, you'll all be gone. Doubt that I'll likely be halfway through my 20th playthrogh by then.
