Lay it to rest.
The team that created the wonderous setting and compelling races/factions/conflicts and characters of the original trilogy are long since gone, and with them those elements which made those games great. The current team is clearly unable to capture that which made those games classics.
If the franchise is ended now, it will be remembered as an all time great one, with the failure that is Andromeda largely forgotten when viewed in the light of the other three (think Alien: Resurrection, Terminator: Salvation, Jaws: The Revenge, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Superman IV, etc.) and not tainting their legacy as much.
Basically, The Phantom Menace already happened, and the last thing the franchise needs is something even worse like Captain Anderson jumping around and doing backflips with a tiny green lightsaber while a clone army of Kal'Reegars lays waste to everyone's childhood memories.
Maybe, after a couple decades, when Mac Walters has long been thrown in Gulag for his crimes against storytelling, a new team of bright young talents can give a reeboot of this classic franchise a proper shot.

It's possible for a new team to get it right but they have to want to get it right. I guess the B-team wanted to do their own thing but... meh... Anyway I think the game has been drifting further away from hard sci-fi as much as possible and that was probably something that they've been required to do.

Give it a few years and return to the Milky Way post ME3 with a canon ending.
Understandably, this will be unpopular (understatement I know) with some of the fan base. However, I suspect that the nostalgia for the worlds we loved and explored for all those years will gradually soften the hostility to this option.
It would have been impossible to do this right after ME3, but 5 or 6 years down the line? I think people will be ready to hit Afterlife again.

I'm worried that any future with the ME franchise may be some kind of online MMo-ish type thing. In that interview with Soderlund he mentioned that when they do bring back the ME franchise, they want to do it in a "relevant..fresh and exciting" way.
I don't understand what that means. Relevant to what? Whatever trend the industry at large is currently chasing?
Personally, I'm in the MW/Canon Destroy camp. Or actually, I don't really give a damn what ending they could choose. Synth. Control. I really wouldn't care.
That said, I'm not opposed to getting into Andromeda more.....but they'd have to crack that coconut open.
Whatever they do with the future of the ME franchise, it needs Vision. A steady vision. Heart. Passion. Fire. And Attention to Detail! Get down into the weeds with it, and bring it out. Flesh it out.
Be fearless. I mean, we go all the way to Andromeda and encounter alien enemies that essentially just use assault rifles or a minigun. There's no imagination in that. Compared to something like a Banshee that don't even need no stinking gun.
I want them to be trailblazers. I want BW to be PathFinders. lol. It seems like they're constantly trying to jack someone else's style. And that's so unseemly. A couple years back it was all about TPS Gears of War style. Then Skyrim. Then they're talking about the Witcher - why, idk. Then it's Destiny-esque stuff.
Come on now with that already.
No reboot. No remaster. I already have the OT ported over, so fine whatever. But I've played it so many times already.
It's something about the Frostbite engine and faces in BW games. Even the Anthem trailer with the old guy we first run in to, even he came perilously close to the weird mouth duck face weird mouth movement thing. Yet I don't recall seeing that with other games made with Frostbite. In the Dice games. They don't seem to have that problem. Unless I missed it.
Sooo, aren't they Sister companies? Is Dice not helping BW with the engine they set up? I certainly hope they are helping. If not for the sake of camaraderie, then at least for the sake of professionalism. Idk, so I'll reserve judgment. For now.
Writing is the biggest thing. Whatever they do going forward, I want to see it done by talented, experienced and proven writers. Sure, writing is easy. Good writing, though, is very hard. Respect it.

I don't count ODST since it was technically meant to be an expansion add-on for H3 and is just to small to really be its own game. It wasn't bad though. in all seriousness I'll take Andromeda over any 343 halo though, I despise 343 halo that much where I'd take crap over 343 crap.

Mature it up some on the writing department, as well as make it an actual "living/dynamic" world (without the fucking MMO quests) and/or great as fuck story - epic scope or not doesn't really matter, as long as the story, characters, action and "development" are all good.
