EA Boss Says Mass Effect: Andromeda Got Too Much Criticism, Franchise Could Return

Are we really surprised now? I mean Suikoden has implied again and again that he has "superior taste". Their whole thing is you must like what they like. That's why they hang around a Mass Effect Andromeda Fan Forum trying to convert the rest of us from our sinful ways and back to their righteous path of hate. Apparently now it has devolved into even liking the correct post.

Learn to disagree with my points aimed at the game, not me as a person. That's what many of you struggle with.

You just had a go at a person for liking a post and another for posting anime gifs. What points about the game am I meant to take from that? And I'm not going to ignore how people treat others on the forum and in general act. That shows me a lot more about how I should react to them, then their arguements with a game

Too much criticism is a matter of perspective. There are things about the game that get criticism from pretty much everyone in some form. Those are generally objective criticisms like animation, clones, bugged out quests, random floating characters etc.

Then there are criticisms which are completely subjective, like story, characters, Ryder as a protagonist etc. Those are down to personal preference, but personal preference isn't actually a fault in a game and can't be considered something that needs fixing. If a dev takes a different/untested/unexpected route in a game that is an entirely valid thing to do. Life gets stale without experimentation.

Both are valid things to comment on, but the personal preference criticisms have exploded far beyond anything you could consider reasonable. Don't like the game? Don't buy it. Literally that simple, esp with various free trials games have these days.

But the objective criticisms are the things that devs should A-address and B-fix. I tihnk overall Bioware did a reasonable job of that.

I'm very optimistic by what he said about wanting to continue the franchise. I think with Casey back on board that the franchise is in good hands and that within 5 or 6 years we'll have another Mass Effect game.

Eh, he has too checkered of a history for me to be filled with confidence with his return. 

I'm not just referring to the ending, especially since I didn't dislike it(actually predicted something like that since ME1). I'm more referring to certain things he has said and done.
