Is the BioWare/Mass Effect fanbase really filled with triggered snowflakes?

I don't even think there should be a like button. "More people like my post than yours so I'm right and you're wrong". That's exactly why too.

any like/dislike system is really just asking for trouble to me, I've seen all kinds of forums so it. You get a dislike system and people then ask why they he downvoted, you then have the like system where people assume a group is ganging up on someone and liking up one guy who is opposing the others posts. It's such a trivial matter but one I've seen escalate for stupid reasons. It adds more aggression than needed, I can guarantee you some people will straight up dislike posts just because they're made by specific users.

A well done steak triggers me far more than anything in Mass Effect, tbh.

All I know is I'm very much looking forward to the release of "Pillars of Eternity" on my Xbox in a few days......

So first and foremost, tell the percent of fans who bought game (roughly 3-3.5 million) that were hating on it for NO reason. I assume you have some spreadsheet in front of you right?

Yep - the opposite too.  There's posters on this forum that can probably attribute +50% of their likes to 2-3 people.  I'd say get rid of it.

Yeah.  As I have said many times in the past plenty of people were upset that Dragon Age: Origins was not Baldur's Gate and Mass Effect 1 was not another Knights of the Old Republic game. Even with Dragon Age: Origins BioWare has said they don't plan on returning to The Warden for there is one ending where they are dead and people keep asking.

I loved Origins but I wouldn't want the Warden back anyway unless we were controlling them(which causes issues since as you noted, some of our Wardens are dead). It was already weird enough to see my character from DA2 walking around out of my control.

Though as much as I would be completely on board with them wanting to make a Baldur's Gate style game again, that's something I've moved onto Obsidian to get(I also wish Harebrained Schemes would make another Shadowrun RPG because those are awesome).

You'd have a point if Mass Effect was a one off game. It isn't and the ME3 endings still have a direct effect on the direction of any new game in the series. On top of that, people come to the series at different times. It's not 5 years ago for everybody (only 18 months for me).
On top of that, a decision was made that was so hideously bad regarding the endings (BURN IT ALL! BURN IT ALL DOWN!) that people will be talking about them for years, maybe decades. Of course, people are only talking about them because what came before was so engaging. So it's a compliment of sorts.

Idgaf? Yeah, that's thinly veiled. Earlier you said I dare you or something to that extent, and in-between more of the same.

Learn your vocab before you use it in public, or this is what happens.

It took me a number of years to accept there would be no Baldur's Gate 3 or a true spinoff. The closest thing we got before Neverwinter Nights was the last infinity engine game Icewind Dale, which seemed to emphasize co-op as your characters had no... character and the story was razor thin. Fun but ultimately dry. I didn't fly into an internet rage over it self-flagellate online about facial animations or an "ugly conspiracy," etc.  I also think the "triggered" crowd got so worked up they just slammed everything, even the good parts of ME:A with equal mentally ill fervor that drowned out any counterpoints as well as indignant but legit criticisms. The problem now is that these "triggered" histrionic types, ever since they changed the ending to ME:3, now feel entitled to dictate what happens with the game, and to a degree Bioware and EA enable them when they just leave loose ends and won't even put out one dlc for a game that sold, if above posters are correct, 3 million copies.

I'm starting to think the current developers under the bioware banner should be transferred to other EA imprints and the Bioware brand shut down forever. They either release broken products, or even if the game isn't severely glitched at launch, let many decisions be dictated apparently by internet heat. Just end it. And yes I know DA4 is coming as well as Anthem, so I know the bioware name will still be around, but from ME:3 ending to SWTOR to ME:A and a several other cases of either professional cluelessness, hypersensitivity to political correctness or developer hubris and in some cases pandering to the histrionics, there's too much feces stuck to the name at this point. EA can have an rpg/shooter division still. Just name it something else and split up the current Bioware staff.
