He stated his goal was troll until everyone leaves the forum but him.  We're going nowhere, though, and we're still enjoying the game.  It's a rather pointless enterprise.

They can blame us but the game just wasn't that good. 

Forgettable characters that I tried to force myself to like but couldn't, game-breaking patches that made the game suddenly completely unplayable on my PC mid-way through the game, dull storyline, dull exploration, etc.

The game lacked the quality and immersion of the original Trilogy IMO, and they deserved the feedback they got.

Stop taking things personally and maybe you'll be less likely to spew and rage your venom. And I've never said anyone was an immature idiot - that's just the narrative in your head. Listen to the mods - and move on.

Anyway, I'm a woman of reason so here's a compromise: I'll "move on" when you do.

We wouldn't hate this game if it wasn't a bug infested mess full of shit tier writing.

They will largely look at the numbers still playing, how many people completed the game, how many hours people played the game for, and the overall reception. This would be judged against the cost of making it and the availability of staff who were familiar with the development of the game. It has nothing to do with the rants of witcher fanboys.


Edit - just to clarify when I said overall reception, I meant the amount of positive reception. If one million people were delighted with the game and likely to buy dlc, then they would have made dlc even if another one million people were going suikoden on the game and spending several hours a day ranting about it. These people may be annoying but they don't actually make decisions based on those people.

I think the harsh reality is they were just not confident that enough people would have bought it and what they could deliver against how much it would cost. I suspect Bioware submitted some plan with what they wanted to do including a budget and EA would have said no, this isn't going to work.

It's all PR talk anyway. If I had a dime for every instance a corporation said they care, I wouldn't have to work anymore. Every product (games included) is developed with a target audience in mind. So in a sense they care, but only as far as the prospected revenue is concerned.
