No less than 4 other people that were debating this with you were on the same page. So I have to ask... -Did you even have a point? -If it wasn't a comparison between games (Which your post had clearly shown) then what was it? -How was it that everyone else was "over defensive" except you? The truth is people find it extremely hard to admit when they're wrong. To me this is a clear case of that. I could consolidate all your post from this thread if you like so you can understand a little better on how people came up (given the natural progression of the thread) your defense of one vs the other. |

Yes, TW3 fanatics have called Bioware games SJW agenda pieces. However TW3 itself isnt a SJW agenda piece so to speak so those fans arent being hypocritical. What is going on here is hypocrisy. One calls out TW3 for being a teenage male fantasy because the maim character has numerous sexual encounters with females and yet that same act has taken place in Bioware games in the past and yet doesnt call ME1 or DAO out for the same thing they call TW3 out on. Nobody really considers TW3 to be "SJW territory" so calling out Bioware on that isnt hypocrisy. Because ME 1 and DA O isn't even in the same solar system of depravity as TW 1. I will never play Witcher 1 just for howbad it treats its 'sex'. Im sorry, I never knew CDPR put a gun to your head and made you partake in optional side content. |

But you stated that TW3 was a teenage boy fantasy based on how it handled sexual encounters. It doesnt matter if it was a comparison or not, it was still a statement you made. All I did was throw you examples of how Bioware handled sex in a similar fashion. Then you mentioned how it is different in TW3 cause Geralt is set up to be some sex magnet. I then explained how the Smuggler and Imperial Agent in SWTOR were also "sex magnets" (less graphic than TW3 but the implications were still there) to again highlight the fact that Bioware isnt innocent in this regard either. |

Contemporary RPGs have plenty of examples of superior games. TW3, Skyrim, DA:I, Tyranny, PoE, Dvinity OS1/2 I'd only rank TW3 and Skyrim as quality RPGs out of that list... I'd put them behind games like FFT, SMT:Nocturne, Suikoden 1-3, Vagrant Story, Xenogears, Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, Wild Arms 1, Lunar, Persona 3/4/5, BG1-2, IWD 1-2... the list is endless. As a fan of rpgs I feel like you probably should have played most of those - if you did, your contemporary list would pale much more in comparison. How old are you? |

It took most of my first game of MEA to get a good read on the squadmates. I didn't like them much to begin with. However, I like them more and more each time I play. I also enjoyed the story and the gameplay, things I didn't really like in either IWD game. The only thing making them playable to me is NPC mods out the wazoo. If I wasn't such a fan of Forgotten Realms, I probably never would have bought them in the first place. |
