I do not feel the need to go around publicly shaming people for disagreeing with me...

As for doxing, I do not believe the situation was outside the definition, though my judgement of that is based on knowledge eroded by time.

This is unfortunately not the first or last time this will happen. It's one of the things expected in journalism, especially when you are limited in your contacts and resources, or in my case, not really my main job.

Our site has that issue all the time. We sometimes get a quote or contact poibt but most of the time we get little info from pubs or devs to collaborate stories, unlike Schreier.

Schreier got butthurt about this forum dismissing his claims. Now the more interesting part is that his claims were dismissed confidently because another "source" that claimed the cancellation of DLC was dismissed as fake just a short time before. It was a fake company posting on their fake facebook account about the cancellation. The company actually didn't exist and the facebook account along with its content was pulled. Strange thing was the effort being made setting it all up. Postings on that facebook reached back a while. Who'd go such lengths to fake identities for a leak like that?

I've mentioned the forums several times in news stories, and even in my mass effect n7 retrospective article.

The forums are known, a lot of people do visit here enough to make it such for news when it arises.

They certainly aren't my peers, I can no more stop jackasses from sending death threats than I can stop people from buying the game and the lootboxes, is it shitty behavior? Of course it is and anyone who acts that way is a moron, however I can't stop morons from being morons, gamers aren't this collective group who get together and form meetings about who they are going to send death threats today, the people who send death threats are all rogues acting on their own accord and nobody elses.
