Take "Clash of Clans" style games, at some point in order to upgrade your cards to the next level you need a lurdicrous amount of currency, an amount that one simply can't get in any reasonable timeframe by regular playing.
The point is, the *problem* is, that once you start designing games to get people to buy your MT, you start limiting just about anything in order to push it, it can be timers on in-game activities, it can be progression which is slowed down to a crawl for everyone who isn't willing to pay, and it can be many other things.
If you like these practices, knock yourself out, personally, I'm not going to buy any game that goes for that style of design.
Fine I’ll rephrase. The mobile games that I play are not as you can buy them or not you can still progress without it. I do not support P2W but micro transactions in themselves are not evil. |

For example I got Darth Vader unlocked after only playing the campaign and a couple hours of multiplayer. The only things that take time to get are some weapons and mods which are unlocked once certain milestones are reached so MTs aren't involved anyway.

Also it sounds like they are hard at work on some highly requested things or things that couldn't make it into the game on time, for example cosmetic customizations and even things like Galactic Assault.

I don't think I've ever seen a game rate so lowly 0.0 If Kim Jong-Un released a game about killing Americans, turning those American corpses into cans of processed meat, and sending those cans to the third world to end world hunger, I still don't think it would score so lowly on Metacritic.
