Honestly the only reason to partake in loot boxes is if you want to support the devs or publishers. It's no real different from a raffle for charity or something similar. Sure. Sonderlund could always use another Honolulu cocaine vacation. then don't buy them. |

That makes no logical sense. Rarely the case : Means that it happens rarely. Meaning, not often. This particular one is a non-issue : Means that it doesn't exist. Except it does exist, otherwise you wouldn't have said the rarely. Choose one or the other, I'm sick of dealing with you people. But I guess there's only about 20-30 of you left. In some MMO’s the mechanic can cause said problem but in most cases it is optional and not game breaking. Most Micro Transactions are cosmetic in nature or gear that doesn’t give too big an advantage. 2. In this case meant BF2 which is what I though we were talking about. In that scenario the Micro Transitions were not P2W as the items could all be gained during normal play. Any items that were unfair were removed prior to the MTs going offline. 3. In ME case none of the MTs qualified as P2W. |

So you're drawing a distinction between "if you want to be competitive, you have to pay for the good stuff" and "if you want to be competitive you can either pay for the good stuff or grind for hundreds of hours"? While it's technically true that these are distinguishable circumstances, they're both kind of bad.

I think enough is enough with this thread. Ten pages of bickering are way too much, aren't they? I think so too. We've drifted a long way from the OP about BioWare's design ambitions and are having another lootbox argument (plenty of threads about that).
