Yeah it never ceases to amaze me at the poor quality of Bioware's Character Creations and considering they are mostly known for making amazing Character/Story driven RPGs but the CC leave's alot to be desired still.Dont get me wrong though there have been small improvement's but I want more a lot more.

I think for the most part DAI's CC was good. It just need some tweaks here and there, but mostly better and more varied eyebrows, hairstyles, and beard, surely... I think even rocks know at this point! Even if I still don't understand why most non japanese devs still don't get how important are hairstyles for players, not just BioWare...
I'd love a system like My Time At Portia, were is possible to have shorter/longer bangs/ponytails of the same haircut.

Presets; * Good looking facial presets. They've done some incredible custom faces in Anthem, they can do it again too. None of the ME:A shit, I don't care if they want to be political or make a statement. Personally, if I see plenty of good looking facial presets, it adds to my replay value because it makes me want to play again using all of them.
Skin; * Keep the skin and complexion system from DA:I. * Freckles opacity. * Vitiligo options. * Premade makeup. * Scars and tattoos, as usual.
Eyes; * Heterochromia is actually super cool. I hope to see variations of it in-game, it really doesn't seem that difficult to implement.
Hair; * Long hairstyles. Either make the technology or find good ways to cheat it (there are plenty of ways to fake long hairstyles). Hair physics would be nice as well. * General diversity and quantity of masculine, feminine and non-gendered hairstyles. * Hair textures are important - straight, wavy, frizzly and coily. * A Color wheel. It's actually a feature in DA:I but it's not enabled for hair for some reason.
Eyebrows; * An option to move eyebrows up and down. * Variety of NORMAL LOOKING eyebrows to choose from. I want usable ones this time, please. * DO NOT MAKE THEM PART OF THE FACIAL TEXTURE LIKE ME:A!
That's all I can think of at the moment. Bioware's character creation has always been great for the most part, I just wish they'd expand on that.

I love those hairstyles! A little lacking in the girls styles (very classics, there are many medium/short/half shaved styles in the guys I'd love for the ladyes too) but a big step in what I'd love for DA4.
I really hope there will be more care for hair in DA4!

How about hair physics? Long hair swaying when you run or moving with the wind? If the PS5 can't do even that, then the engine isn't much of a upgrade. The PS5 CAN do it. The *PS4* could do it. It's BioWare that seems to have an issue. Yeah the hardware is there to do it now. MEA to an extent did it perhaps not as ewll as some games but it did. The couple of longer hairstyles that are available in NFS Heat that you can pick for your avatar certainly move around. Fifa too for exampleif yo uchoose to play as a female manager and pick a ponytail style you do see it swooshing around and bouncing up an ddown when the avatar is cheering the team on. Also when playing with the womens teams you do see the hair moving around. A lot of the games that have had characters with longer hair have hair physics or an element of it at least. Even the nwe Avengers gam edoes as I've noticed Thor, Kamala, Black Widow and even Hulk's hair move. Obviously I think it depends on the game and style also I think it may in some areas have to do with clipping but I think we aer getting there. Certainly hair doesn't look as helmet heady as it did in the PS2/PS3 days so we have seen som ebig steps in the right direction there. I think i fw esee some good hair physics for longer styles like wha twe've seen from more recent Frostbite games mixed in with some of th ecloth physics w esaw in DAI with regards t ohow the butt flaps move we'll be heading in the right direction.

How about hair physics? Long hair swaying when you run or moving with the wind? If the PS5 can't do even that, then the engine isn't much of a upgrade. Aloy’s hair on PS4 moves around just fine. Of course, she benefits from having an entirely fixed character model rather than a bunch of hair options, part of the reason why most hair options we get in ME and DA are short or tied up. Right now, my baseline to even be satisfied is to at least have good looking hair models in general. Whether or not they sway in the wind is something I can’t care about until they at least meet the former.

Have to agree with what I've seen from Baldur's Gate, the CC looks fantastic! Like, my dream would be a mix of the detail of the DAI CC with the amazing styles and shapes in BG.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's perfect but I believe they are making steps in the right direction.

Just to put it out... Dragon's Dogma had something like 80 hairstyles in its extremely vast character creator, many long and with basic phisics. PS3 era. Final Fantasy X already had moving hair. On the PS2. Is quite stupid seeing still comments that want to trow the fault for lacking hairstyles modeling to consoles.

Baldur's Gate 3 CC is mesmerizing, especially the hair! I want one like this in DA4 already. Long hairstyles with physics? Black hairstyles that aren't just simple textures? stop it, you'll scare them. Bioware can only make bald characters or characters with hats (In Vivienne's case it's both).

I thought DA'Is CC was pretty good for what it was. For its time, I thought it was pretty in-depth, especially for a game that had to release on last-gen consoles as well. It's biggest failings were largely related to its hairstyle options; or lack thereof.

DA:I had some terrible looking eyebrows and the majority of them made your character look crazy. The in-depth sliders and presets are truly it's only saving grace.

I liked the CC in Inquisition, greatly preferred it to what we got in Andromeda.
I'd like to see: - MUST have an option to see how the character looks in different lighting (Expressions too, if possible) - more hairstyles (preferably with options open to all sexes and races, and none locked to an NPC)(maybe have options for bangs, and tail/bun) - Have beard options broken up into: stubble, mustache, jaw/chin (don't make the character's jaw/chin clip through the beard). - Have Qunari horns be separate from hair, and make hornless not leave marks where the horns would be. - have an option for separate eye colors. - Have scars be separately pickable and placeable
These would be too: - Fitness (mainly a slider to pick how buff the character is) - make tattoos selectable for arms, back, and chest - Accessories, like a monocle or eyepatch - Walking style, think a normal walk or an exaggerated strut

It's biggest failings were largely related to its hairstyle options; or lack thereof. In terms of customizing the character’s facial features, the CC worked pretty well, and I wouldn’t mind a similar one for DAI. The problem was in general with everything related to facial hairs (plus horns for quando): eyebrows, hairstyles and beards were lackluster, to put it mildly, and the textures were atrocious. With an addition of a good variety of those and good textures, The DAI CC would be fine even now, although I think it’s also important to add physics to the longer hairstyles.

For starters, as much as I liked all the races we got available in DAI I think they should perhaps offer fewer in the next title if it would make it easier for them to write a cohesive story. Which races that should be kept I don't really have an opinion on, although Human is almost a certain. I would like to see our choice of race and possibly background have a bigger impact on how you interact with people in the game. I would also really like for them to bring back origins like we had in DA:O, even if they are not playable, as they to me it improves on the role-playing aspect (although actually playing them, even if they are short, would be awesome). Qunari is a race that is hard to integrate in Tevinter. So if they have to cut a race out, that will be my choice. - Being able to freely choose the color of eyes and also give them two different tones - Same hairstyles available for men and women (just wish fewer were bald/balding) agree I looked at a video that showcased the CC for the game Monster Hunter World, and I have to say I was impressed by the looks of the characters. I would love for the devs to look at this and take some inspiration! The hairstyles are great and offer nice and varied short to medium length hairdos. I was impressed to. And i find it a lot easier than the CC from DAI. I got an headache from the CC from DAI. What are your thoughts? What would you like for the CC in a future DA title? What other CCs are there and what did they have that you think DA also should implement? DAO
I liked the different hairestyls for different Origins (the Dalish have other hairestyls than a human noble)
Iwould like the option to have my character automatically created from a picture (than i wouldn't have the problem with the face sliders).

-Better Hair, though I believe bad hair is Bioware'trade mark xD -Body slider (musculature, fat etc.) -Facial hair that actually looks like one. Not that glued on crap Improve a little bit on the DA:I CC and you should be fine. Just stay away from ME:A's as far as possible I don't agree. I say: stay away from DAI as far as possible. hated the sliders.

Considering the added time it would take for the extra actors to rerecord all those lines, not to mention the money to pay them, this one is highly unlikely. Yes, Bioware could simply take the Bethesda route and a have a small number of VAs do multiple roles, but people would complain about it being cheap, lazy, and immersion breaking.
Two would be suffice. I just wish that say, a male elf with a British accent would sound different than a male human with a British accent for example. Even if we just get a British accent and American accent per gender I'd be happy with that choice being available. I just wish they sounded a bit different per race though. Look at all the options that we got in DAO. I want something like that back for DA4. But that is the reason, we will never see the warden again in an other DA game.

Do you think it is a definite that the Elf PC will be a City Elf? I can't imagine that any Dalish would ever go to Tevinter. I wouldn't call it city elf. Slave would be the better word.
