You would not believe it but petition for DLC for MEA is still running!

I'm thinking back a bit to ME1, especially considering the polls relating to the writing of the characters in MEA. I can't help but wonder if, given DLC and/or a sequel, these characters couldn't be significantly improved. I mean, sure, Tali was sweet in ME1, but many people have pointed out that she was simply an information dump regarding the quarian race. Same with Wrex. Garrus? Not much to him. The only ones really fleshed out were the romance options, for obvious reasons I suppose. So while I think a lot was lacking in MEA (though I loved Drack, and Vetra to a lesser extent), I can't help but think that more content could improve things.

Yes, I know MEA suffered from other problems but I'd like to see BioWare do something to "make it right". Can't change the past but if they put out something great people would move past it. I mean, if we were delivered something great who would complain? (Well, someone would, because obviously we all seek different things.)

They've only made it clear there will be no more DLC.  No, I don't think any kind of petition is going to change that.  They haven't technically shelved any kind of MEA2 as yet, at least not to my knowledge.  That said, I also don't believing they're working in it right now,.

Yeah, they never said there wouldn't be future Mass Effect games. Even after announcing the end of the support cycle for MEA, high up people from both Bioware and EA said they're interested in returning to the franchise.

If/when they do, I definitely hope it is with Ryder and Co. since their story isn't finished yet.

I'm not reading any additional novels until I see evidence that ME isn't a dead IP.

Anthem 2019, DA:Next 2021-2022, Anthem:Next 2024-2025 ... yep, no chance. And Austin's maxed out with a secret IP and the behemoth known as TOR draining away precious Bioware resources. There's a reason Edmonton shovelled it onto Bioware "we're all green in a new and toddler-y sort of way but we'll give it a good hot crack" Montreal

We have the Quarian book in a few months and the Discovery comic series is just wrapping up.

I'll be interested to see if there is anything after that though.

Only possibility of DLC would me second half of 2018 done by Bioware's A team. This would happen after they're done patching and working on Anthem. Highly unlikely obviously but stranger things have happened.
