You would not believe it but petition for DLC for MEA is still running!

You Would Not Believe It, Change The Ending Petitions Are Still Running And I Signed It.

Online petitions usually don't do anything so I usually refrain from commenting, but I thought I'd point out one small thing:

The petition has been running over 3 months and has netted 10,700 signatures. In the realm of online petitions and considering the size of Mass Effect's customer base, that is really, really, really underwhelming.

For the sake of fairness I'll say ME3's "change the ending petition" was similarly underwhelming, with 13,000 signatures? Pitifully small amounts, really.

They had to do something with the endings because they knew Andromeda was on the way and couldn’t risk us all not buying it.

There’s nothing Mass Effect related on the horizon anytime soon, which is why Bioware and EA are now in “fuck it who cares” mode.

Sure, but no one wants a book where a DLC should be. Also outside of fandom for mass effect I have been underwhelmed by the writing in the mass effect that I read.

That book was planned before MEA released and was reconfigured to tell the story of what the SP dlc was supposed to tell. But because MEA was a flop, the dlc got canned and they use the book to tell the story.

As I said before, this is the ultimate in taking away player choice.  Yeah, we get the story, but we don't get to fight and make dumb (or not so dumb) decisions which may have some impact on the outcome.  I read plenty on my own.  Don't need a video game to be read to me.

Doesn't mean I'm wrong. He said nothing new for ME is on the horizon, I gave him an example of something new for ME that's coming out shortly.
