Yeah I know it doesn't but it does change some of Hackett's comments though and that's what I wanted I mostly decided to do it in case I decided to skip some of it as well. So I at least still could have all the endings available if I did decide to skip some. But then I'm doing it through N7 HQ so I don't have to do it through MP so it's relatively easy The only time his dialogue will change, if ems is low enough, is just before the crucible is about to dock with the Citadel and his epilogue.
Hackett has a different response to the question, "What's our readiness" if your GR score is higher.

Can you post video/audio of him saying something different?

No, 'cause I'm lazy, but I've heard it in my games. I know if your GR is 50% or not much higher, he says Alliance forces are getting their asses handed to them. If it's higher, he says they're doing better and even winning in some areas.
Edit: here you go. Starts around 10:50

Surprised he would say forces are doing poorly even if ems high regardless if readiness is 50%. I do recall him sayig what he did in the vid.

Yeah, the good ol "MP has nothing to do with SP" lie strikes again. This part was never fixed, but at least you can use the Galaxy at War at N7HQ now instead of having to play MP to raise it.
I like how the strike teams in MEA work a lot better. You can play them in MP if you want or you can just use the interface in SP. But either way, other than loot received, SP is in no way affected by it.

Whereas this time he said something like we're attacking the Reapers and getting out before they can really hurt us or something like that.

No. It is only based on GR. You could have a zillion war assets, but if GR is 50%, you are still losing.

I just fired up a new game after a year, as I finally got a new PC. With all the patches, MEA is pretty damn great. I'm having a blast on my Soldier/Vanguard/Adept on Insanity I should be farther ahead, but MP is too damn fun tbh. Seriously I can't get over how great the combat is in this game. I have a massive backlog with my new shiny PC so I wasn't planning on replaying the SP again after this but I already wanna try a tech/soldier build in NG+.

I imagine the opposite is true as well? You have hardly any WA but 100% GR and Hackett says the Reapers better watch out! Until the ending, of course, when Earth is destroyed because of low ems.
Just another reason why tying GR to factors outside the SP campaign makes no sense. I remember wondering in my first PT why that number never changed as I got further and further along in the game. I only found out about it being tied to MP after the fact.

Yeah I'm kind of glad they made an alternative way to get it up via the N7HQ Because it means all you need to do is just keep that up to date and keep operations going to keep it at 100%. I started building it up while I was still playing ME1 to give it a chance to get up up to and near 100% by the time I got to ME3 mostly as I noticed it can take quite a while to build up. At least with MEA you don't need to access anything externally as th estrike team stuff works through the SP via the research terminal on the Tempest so they at least learnt from that mistake and made it easier. It can be a pain having to access things externally but I'd rather that than try to do it all through MP especially as I do struggle with MP

Only possible with the Extended Cut free DLC. Without it, effective EMS required for all endings is something like 4000 (requiring 8000 WA), which isn't possible without all the rest of the DLC being played. Even with all the other DLC, you will still just barely make it.

Never bothered with MP, never knew about the N7HQ thing and I still always got all the endings???? Yeah you can but as Melbella said you need to do all the DLC and scanning every system to get them all pretty much if you don't use the readiness. I believe they added the N7 HQ so you don't have to do it through MP as the endings aer unlocked based on how many War Assets you have in the EMS section. The Galactic readiness just affects how many are likely to survive and be effective in that final battle when you go up against the Reapers at the end of the game. Sometimes it can be hard to find everything though or remember where it is. I know where most of it is as I found out by googling a list of what's available and where to find it. But this was years ago not long after ME3 came out when I was struggling to figuer it all out. I'm kind of using the readiness this time partly because I'm trying to work off memory as to where everything is and I do sometimes forget to probe some areas so at least this way if I do miss something the fact I've got a higher readiness rating should help compensate. I'm doing it to help speed my playthrough up and test my memory to see whether I remember where they are. As that in itself can feel like a mini game. Especially as my memory isn't always the best after I've not played the game for a while.

If a player were to do a default ME3 playthrough and complete all dlc, it wouldn't be enough to get 4000 ems or 8000 tms. Fortunately the number was lowered to 3100 after the cut was released. The Galactic readiness just affects how many are likely to survive and be effective in that final battle when you go up against the Reapers at the end of the game. Don't you mean ems? The only thing that readiness does is raise your ems. If the player has 100% readiness, he/she doesn't have to collect as many assets as someone who has 50% readiness.

For the ignorant (that is me) what difference does the EMS make to the endings? Is it just that Shepard takes a breath in the destroy scenario or does it facilitate the Synthesis ending or is that driven by the bits of the crucible that you find? My last ME3 PT not that long ago I had either just over or just under 8000 Total Military Strength which I believe equates to approximately 4000 EMS. I believe I remember the outrage and the change of EMS to 3100 but I think I hadn't chosen Destroy before that change. So I have always gotten "The Breath" scene for Destroy.

Obviously below 3100, Shepard is dead 2700 or higher is needed for the green If ems is below 1750, only one option will be available, red or blue based on what the player did with the base in ME2. Save the base will offer control. Destroy the base will only offer destroy. If playing a default ME3 playthrough, the game will assume the base has been destroy only giving you destroy as an option, if ems is low enough. Here's a post that goes into detail about ems

Does that change if ems is high enough regardless if readiness is at 50%?
No. It is only based on GR. You could have a zillion war assets, but if GR is 50%, you are still losing.
This was always fine with me. We should be losing, now or over the course of decades.

High GR lets you blow off scanning and sidequests, though.
