Yeah it's all tied in with the Readiness levels.
I imagine the opposite is true as well? You have hardly any WA but 100% GR and Hackett says the Reapers better watch out! Until the ending, of course, when Earth is destroyed because of low ems.
Just another reason why tying GR to factors outside the SP campaign makes no sense. I remember wondering in my first PT why that number never changed as I got further and further along in the game. I only found out about it being tied to MP after the fact.
Yeah. If there's one thing Andromeda did right, it's the combat. It's without a doubt the best in the series. I'm still playing Andromeda. But... That's because I never finished it. I let it rest for almost a year, and I'm picking it back up to finish it now. Never disliked the game, but, it wasn't engaging enough either for completionists like me. I notice though that this game is best played in short bursts. No 12 hour gameplay sessions, but more like 2 hours each time.

Same here - still playing Andromeda. I must agree with ascend, this game works for me in short bursts as well. It's on the same back burner as Fallout 4. When I have an hour or two to burn, I go and putter around Andromeda or the wasteland. Do a mission here, save a settlement there. I don't dislike Andromeda - I actually like it very much - but there is just something missing there that would keep my interest up for 12 hours straight.

Oh I so wish I could even squeeze in a 4hour session of MEA!!!!! More than enough time for a playthrough. Well, a speedrun anyways. Not hard to finish the game in less time. I believe the quickest I finished the game is about 3 hours.

I am sure we have discussed your speed runs before, I am not skilled enough to attempt it unfortunately. Sadly I am old and speeding through games is not my MO, I'd rather stop and shoot more things along the way.

High GR lets you blow off scanning and sidequests, though. But I like those so.... Yeah I do too it's just another option that will allow you to skip if you want like for example I chose to skip the Citadel DLC in my current run which I recently finished. In fact just started MEA now but I' m only going to work through it bit by bit rather than do it all in one go though as I know I'm not going to get through it before the World cup starts anyway and I've been wanting to play a bit of Fifa as well lately. I've only done Habitat 7 so far but I'm at least underway. I'm probably just going to divide my attention between the 2

Thanks The only reason why I did any speedruns for MEA was because of my insanity playthrough to get the trophy. I was going to complete everything that I could, but when I got to a spot on one of the planets, I had a hard time trying to defeat the enemies. After x number of tries, I got frustrated, and said to heck with it. I decided to just complete the main missions. I finished the game in about 20 hours. I realized that if I started fast at the beginning, I could have finished in half the time. I've done speedruns for other games, either on my ps3 or ps4. For me, it adds replay value. Its something different.

I have the utmost respect for people who can push the envelope in games like you do with your speed runs but it'd drive me absolutely nuts knowing I wasn't completing stuff. Even on my current 13th PT I still have to do every small mission, pick up every piece of loot even though I don't need any of it

Was it Voeld you got stuck, that can be a nightmare on Insanity? I believe it was. I don't have ananswer why I was having a hard time with those enemies since later in the game, I faced tougher enemies that I was able to defeat easily. I chalk it up to, go figure. The games I've done speedruns, I have completed all missions/quests. Like I said, speedruns add replay value and its nice to change it up every now and then.

It’s fine for you but there are plenty of people who play way too much. Meh, if the worst vice a person has is playing "too much" videogames, then I'd say they're fine. Most people do "too much" of something, and much of it is a hell of a lot worse. Shoot I wish I had a 12 hour block I could devote to gaming.

Although I did take off time from work to play Andromeda . It worked out well for ME2 and ME3, but while playing Andromeda, I couldn't remain hooked for so many hours and I ended up playing a bunch of For Honor instead, with some minor Andromeda gameplay in between.

My comment was more about those poor eyes that have to look at a screen for 12 hours. Although, I probably shouldn't be talking, I spend like 8-9 hours at work in front of a computer and another 3-4 at home gaming less or more each night.

Im considering a new playthrough (havent played in about a year). The problem for me is that it doesnt feel like a complete story, and seeing as BW is uninterested in finishing it there will be a lot of threads left hanging. If there were dlc or MEA2 on the horizon I'd be much more likely to have another go.
