I completed my completionist run last month, I may pick it up again but I also have a list of other games I’ve been meaning to get through.

Steve maybe but not Sam. Steve is combat trained she isn’t and that wouldn’t be safe. Neither is having the Normandy in front of Harbinger, right? It’s called emergency evacuation. Not normally safe.

I started another playthrough not too long ago. The prologue is, in my eyes, the biggest slog in the entire game. TBH though most prologues are a slog though especially after you've beaten the game once you don't really need all the mechanics explained to you again. DAI's can be a bit of a slog as well. Quite often I just use the prologues to just test how a new character is going to look in the game for when I'm ready to begin another playthrough.

I am building a new computer with a new gfx card (damn crypto-miners) and an obnoxiously awesome 34" Curved Ultra Wide QHD (3440X1440). Its not quite 4k but MEA is one of the few games I have played that supports 4k res. So it will be the first game to play on the new machine. I am already reading up on tweaking the game for 21:9 monitors.

Unfortunately, I didn't play it enough to tweak it just right, so yours may look even better. The only thing that may annoy you a little is that the gameplay will be 3440x1440, but any pre-rendered cutscenes will have the black bars on the sides, because they'll be 14:9. It's still awesome though.

My research saw the talk about the cutscenes, but I also found a vid purporting to fix the issue: My remaining parts should arrive in a few weeks at which point I will try their fix out and report back here.

I just started a new playthrough. Played the game only once when it first released, and wasn't interested in playing again after they announced there would be no dlc (and I guesss no sequel either since ME is on ice)... But I figured I'd give it another shot, now with all the patches and some mods.

I have yet to do playthrough #1.
Waiting to pick the game up on sale.
I played the demo when it was out, enjoyed it. I am looking forward to putting some time into it!

I just started a new playthrough and am enjoying it more since I am not being seduced by all the trivial quests. Go to planet...turn on the beacons..turn on the vault...maybe do a few quests..next planet. I find it much more relaxing to just do the trivial tasks I liked instead of worrying about finding all the shipments that the insects ate. Really it's exhausting to try to do so many trivial quests. There is enough with the planets and companion quests already. So it's more fun..alas I got to Kadara and fixing the vault there only gets you 48 % - So I guess I'm stuck with some quests there.

Waiting to pick the game up on sale. Last I checked, the respective digital stores for both PS4 and XBox have it for $10, not to mention you can get the same deal through Amazon. Some pretty good deals on the game right now.

On Kadara, the planet won't be considered viable for an outpost until after you resolve the dispute between the Outcasts and the Collective. If you talk to Sloane after freeing Vehn Terev, she'll outright tell you that she'd consider any move to set up an outpost an act of war. You can, however, get through the end game without settling any outposts other than the first one on Eos.

So in reference to my previous post, I got my new machine built and hooked it up to a a new ASUS PG348Q - a 34" Ultra-Wide 3440X11440 monitor. As expected, conversations and cut-scenes in the game suffer from black bars because they show in 16:9. I tried the fix I linked earlier, but discovered that using the Flawless Widescreen (FWS) application no longer works, and has been broken apparently since patch 1.05. However, I discovered a new fix at this page:
This one is actually more convenient since you just copy files over to the installation directory instead of running another program that tries to alter the game in memory. I can report it works. Don't be discouraged if you see black bars in the intro - that scene is pre-recorded. But as soon as you see scenes where the game renders the scene (e.g. when you're Ryder wakes up) you'll notice the black bars are gone!
Just starting my playthrough now with this new display setting and maxed out graphics settings. It looks like a real treat! I better enjoy it now before the monitor collects dust and I scratch it up trying to clean it!

I did 3-4 playthroughs when it was first released, then continued to play MP for another 2-3 months. I have this tendency to get completely absorbed by a particular game (or series) for ~ 2-6 months, then move on to something else.
I think revisiting Andromeda will be next up once I move from my current obsession.

I reached the level cap a few months ago, 132. I must admit it's a bit odd seeing the **GAINED XP** popup and never seeing the burst of light from a level up. It's also very weird to see that I have EVERY skill maxed out.
But it does allow me to try whatever I want without worrying about being sub-par.
I go for Explorer/Vanguard/Sentinel/Infiltrator (Favorites 1-4) as my ideal set, but I occasionally go Engineer or Adept with appropriate skills just to shake things up.
I still play it, because I do enjoy the game. I love Mass Effect, something about the class systems and abilities really appeals to me, in ways that I don't think I can put into words; I know that sounds mushy, but that's just how I feel.
I know they put the series "on ice" but I still hope for an Andromeda sequel.
