(I didn’t know she was a real person until my wife told me)
You were blessed but now you're like the rest of us, cursed. Cursed like if you've stolen a ruby hilted dagger from Shadar Logoth. Cursed like you mysteriously losing too much weight after fabricating evidence to beat a vehicular homicide case that involved hitting an old gypsy woman because you were distracted by the handjob your wife was giving. Cursed like the god Apollo giving you the power to tell the future but later adding the stipulation that no one believes because you wouldn't let him hit it. Cursed like you needing to shave after every full moon. Cursed like the New York Knicks hopes of ever winning another championship. Cursed like you being chained to a rock where an eagle eats your liver that magically regenerates afterwards beginning the morbid cycle anew because you had the audacity to teach a bunch of cavemen how to light a fire after witnessing them eat raw meat. Cursed like after coming into possession of a big ass diamond that was stolen from a Sita idol in India. Cursed like you're a member of an archaeological team who opened an Egyptian sarcophagus, and cursed like Lebron's fully rejuvenated hairline... if you're catching my drift. I have no idea what you’re talking about, but I find your opinions intriguing and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Good luck you'll need it. Ah, Ok. I understood - most of - the references, but thought you might’ve been parodying one of her songs. Regardless, I think I’ll find a way to survive in a world that includes this person.

Megan Thee Stallion is probably best known to the general public for featuring in WAP!
(Even this YouTube censored version is pretty wildly unsafe for work.)

I am becoming more and more grateful I held of on watching this trash fire of a show. You're not the only one. 😉 I envy you two but it's ridiculous how long it's taking for them to release the xxx parody. Serious question; Are you doing the internet thing where if a new show (movie/comic/game/book/whatever) isn't the absolute perfect version of itself that you imagined it could possibly be, that it is then automatically the worst thing ever presented to the world? Because otherwise, short of an eye-roll worthy agenda, I just can't see how anyone could possibly consider this to be the affront to humanity that some here are presenting it as. Is it as good as it could've been? No. Is it as funny as I thought it might have been? No. But it has plenty of funny moments (humour being subjective, of course) and it is doing what every MCU project has done, which is to slowly reveal more of the world in which these stories take place. Not a huge amount of action - as of yet - but as an actual sitcom (as opposed to WandaVision) they were probably always going to go easier on that than previous MCU D+ shows. So I guess what I'm asking is; what specifically grinds your gears about this so badly?

It's been 3 weeks so far for She-Hulk when compared to the Witcher series who received a XXX parody when the series was only announced the year before. Big disappointment no pun intended tbh. For years i have been consistent in my criticism of live action adaptions of comics, fantasy, and science fiction works and usually won't hold back especially when it comes to the products of multi-billion dollar corporations like the Star Wars Sequel trilogy. I had no major issue with She-Hulk EP1 and called it decent but EP3 was easily the weakest one for me due to it's conclusion, Blonsky's parole, hinging on Wong being written like a buffoon and the subplot with the MTS imposter only existing as a promotion vehicle for the rapper was cringe. Could the next episode be better? sure but i'm not going to sugarcoat EP3 because future episodes might be better.

Good to know, I’ll take it off my birthday wish list. My question was more about the ‘I envy people who haven’t watched it’ part, though. It just seemed like a really strong reaction, that’s all. Those are all completely valid criticisms. And if this were Falcon and the Winter Soldier (or any other MCU D+ show) or a MCU film entry, then yeah - I’d probably be right there with you. But this is a sitcom. Absurdist writing is sort of part and parcel, isn’t it? Ross had a PhD, but couldn’t work out how to get a sofa up a flight of stairs. Barney Stinson existed in some parallel universe where he always looked good in photos, no matter what he was doing or what was happening around him. I guess it just seems like some criticisms of the writing are ignoring the fact that the nonsense is deliberately embraced in the - admittedly sometimes vain - hope of giving people a laugh.

Like, what was the point of it in terms of advancing the show's story?

Remember even though She-Hulk's written like a sitcom some consistency still has to be maintained due to the show not existing in a vacuum and is part of a shared universe. Wong as he was depicted in the Strange films would have critiqued Stephen if he broke a superpowered villain with dubious morality out of prison just to test his skills on. For an example of cross series cameos maintaining character consistency think of Kelsey Grammer's character Frasier who originated in the sitcom Cheers but his characterization remained the same in his eponymous show despite the depth he was given. Mind you this isn't just a Marvel or She-Hulk issue but Disney has an issue with maintaining consistency.

Good call on Frasier; about the only counter-argument that I'd offer is that both those shows were sitcoms designed to make people laugh, whereas the MCU crosses a number of genres and Wong has appeared in action/comedy movies and now a 'TV' sitcom. Some consistency should definitely be expected - especially after the work they've put into it over the years - but by the same token, there is also a responsibility to the story/project they're currently on. And also - Wong being at least aware of Blonsky being out was established in Shang Chi - which came out before both She-Hulk and No Way Home, meaning it is entirely possible that the truth of Blonsky's exit from prison was simply handed to the writers of the show and they were told to 'make it work'.

I agree with something else that was said on here about Wong breaking Blonsky out of prison by force and how that is totally out of character for him, that was bad writing, and then the way they fluffed it off with the whole court proceeding just made it worse. But the one scene that really made me role my eyes was the end credits scene. As much as I think She-Hulk's (CGI) body is kinda sexy.... the whole *twerking at work* for somebody who's supposed to be a high-profile lawyer was another dumb move, and at that point I shut it off.
Actually, because of this episode I'm beginning to question if I want to continue watching though I was enjoying it up till now

Ill be honest when i first saw this scene i thought Abomination escaping prison and joining the fight club was of his own volition. Wong being his dutiful self accepted his challenge and sent him back to where he belonged. But the one scene that really made me role my eyes was the end credits scene. My reaction - It was like the writer was channeling this type of energy...

Ten Rings was a really good movie. First Marvel movie I've liked in a while....I really didn't like Ragnarok or Guardians 2, and as much as I like Dr Strange (the character) I'm not fussed on Mutiple Worlds Gone Mad Multiverse of Madness, it's too weird. But Ten Rings was a really good movie, even my mom enjoyed it.

It was okay. Felt more like a fantasy martial arts film than a superhero movie. But still, not bad.

Don't care much for Trevor's appearance, but that is a minor complaint. Until No Way Home, I thought it was the best thing in Phase 4.

She-Hulk E4; may or may not be the ‘best’ yet, but it was definitely the funniest so far, for me, anyway. I legitimately had to do a double take with Donny Blaze at the start. I seriously thought he was Oscar Isaac.
The demon fight interrupting Jen’s date was probably the best vfx of the series so far.
Madisynn is a first degree lush.
I feel like the simplest solution to Wong’s problem is for him to just take Donny’s sling-ring from him. He clearly doesn’t know enough to stop Wong if that’s what he decided. But sitcom absurdity wins, which is fine.
Wong watching Sorpranos is surprising. Wong watching This is Us…not so much.
