I've seen threads for individual TV series, but not one directed at television content in general. Some shows are worth mentioning but not with enough overall appeal to justify their own thread. I've recently started watching "Goliath" with Billy Bob Thorton as the main character in this lawyer/mystery/crime drama. I haven't seen him for a quite a few years in a leading role and he's a natural as a good-guy lawyer with alcohol issues. The villain is a shadowy, murderous military contractor, with some totally vile snakes in their legal department. The vilest snake in their legal department is played by William Hurt. This series has a very high creepiness factor and some memorable characters. I've only seen 5 episodes, but so far the writing seems to be well done.
If you have an Amazon Prime subscription, this content is included, otherwise, it's pay-as-you-go.
And while we're on the subject of made for Amazon TV shows, this one is excellent too:

Currently, other than Westworld and Supernatural, the only thing holding my attention are the 4 Arrowverse shows. Because nothing says "nearly 40 year old man" like a modern day Beverley Hills 90210 with Superheroes The really embarrassing part is, I'm actually liking all of them this year. Also the second season of the new MacGyver....but I'm just about ready to give that one up. I really like the chemistry between the two leads, but I'm just not feeling it.

Supernatural has been on the air since 2005, is going on its 12th season and I still watch it occasionally. Sam and Dean aren't kids anymore. LOL Will they retire? I'll miss them if they do. I know the second season of West World is going on right now and it's killing me. But I decided it wasn't worth reactivating my HBO subscription just for that. When one of the promised GoT spin-offs start, I'll stream West World season 2 all at once. If HBO takes too long getting their new GoT project going, then I'll just buy WW season 2 out of pocket from Amazon. Don't apologize for liking the Arrowverse. I'm very probably older than you are and I like all kinds of Marvel characters.

Currently, other than Westworld and Supernatural, the only thing holding my attention are the 4 Arrowverse shows. I watched Supernatural for years.. then got out of sink with the TV showing, then Netflix pulled their back seasons so I can't catch up. Last time I watched was season 9 I think. I'm still bitter I watch a few things I'm really not the demographic for, most notably The 100, which looked like it should be a typical CW teen scifi show but got dark real fast. One show I can't believe doesn't get more attention is Babylon Berlin, it is one of the best things to come to Netflix in ages and I can't rate it high enough, yet no-one I know has heard about it.

You can add me to the list, sorry. Was season 9 the Leviathans? In 13 now. 12 was Lucifer. 11 was "The Darkness" aka God's PMSing sister. 10....can't remember. They've saved the world a lot. I think my wife watches (or watched) the 100. She watches a lot of TV while I play games. It's hard to keep up with all of them.

The season that gave rise to Deanley. Dean-Crowley shippers But yeah, you really can't expect to understand what is going on if you've missed even half a season...let alone three full ones.

This is coming to HULU in late July 2018, from Stephen King and J.J. Abram: I thought that looked awesome when I first saw the trailer, unfortunately Hulu is a closed to me as a New Zealander, so I will have to wait to see who, if anyone, picks it up to show here. I think I have a thing for shows about towns which have a real wrongness about them.. in a supernatural kind of way. Outcast was pretty good and I loved Haven when it was on and Midnight Texas is another one which appealed, but alas isn't shown here.

There was something seriously wrong with that town. Haven't caught the second season, yet.

I wanted to, I like Dominic Cooper as an actor, but I think my partner would actually leave me if I was subscribed to Sky, Netflix, Neon and Lightbox. I guess I could sub hop from one to the other and just binge watch everything I can over the course of a months sub. Of course my arse would atrophy from sitting on its 20 hours a day

That's fair. Does Neon have stuff you don't get with Sky?? We get Lightbox free with Spark, otherwise it probably wouldn't be worth it.

That's fair. Does Neon have stuff you don't get with Sky?? We get Lightbox free with Spark, otherwise it probably wouldn't be worth it. We only had neon because of a sky bundle thingy, we didn't keep it for long, it got trimmed when we got all ruthless on the Sky sub. There is a lot of cross over between sky and neon, but not enough to be useful as a full on replacement, some of the soho shows don't seem to be there for example. OK, keeping on topic, my netflix queue is overflowing. I need to watch: season 2 of 3% - Brazilian dystopian scifi, season 1 was awesome season 2 of The Expanse - season 1 took me a long time to get into, I've read all the books and Thomas Jane is a hard sell for me but it was good enough to carry on watching season 3 of Broadchurch - at this point I'm just watching for Olivia Coleman finish season 2 of Occupied - modern Norwegian thriller, season 1 was great, season 2 is starting to turn into a bit of a slog. start on The Rain

Hell yeah! People need to know this cool badass series. Karate Kid redux? Eh. Not really in the mode for time displacement. It's like a great extension to the original. It honors the original characters and adds very cool characters and stories to the plot. The old finalists, their children and students, their struggle in life. Making fun of SJWs and political correctness... reviving manhood and badassness in 2018! It brings a lot of smiley moments and adrenaline-y ones!

I've been watching The Office on Netflix after not paying attention when it was actually on. It's a pretty good show, though I'm in Season 6 now and I feel like it's starting to wear itself out a little. But it's a good antidote if you start thinking your job sucks - just remind yourself that it's better than working for Michael Scott at Dunder-Mifflin.
I've watched the first few episodes of "Babylon Berlin." I'm not hooked on it yet, but it seems kind of interesting. I decided to give it a look partly out of sociological curiosity, since it begins in 1929 when the Nazis were on the scene but other parties still held more clout in the Reichstag.

I watched the walking dead up until the end of season 6 then kind of lost interest. I may catch up but I don't really enjoy it when they keep splitting the core group up, at least the zombies/bad guys deal with the cast bloat now and then.

I've watched most of The Walking Dead despite the fact that, if I'm honest with myself, I kind of hate it for the relentless cynicism and the way anybody who doesn't embrace "kill or be killed" usually ends up looking stupid. I haven't seen the 8th season yet, but Rick has been a point of frustration for me for a while - I don't think he's a very good leader, practically or morally, and it's not clear to me why everybody still follows him. I probably won't miss him if the show continues without him, but I'm not sure I'll ever see the series as anything other than a car wreck that I can't look away from for some reason.

I honestly watch The Walking Dead at this point as a "tradition" more than anything else. It's one of the few tv shows I watch on the tv. At this point it feels like they're continuing it for the sake of keeping the show on, they always come up with some story or excuse to never end the series. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I dislike it, but it feels like they are just dragging this thing. The ending itself of last season was pretty cool though (you know exactly which part I'm talking about if you watch the series).

Yeah, I checked out too. I just started feeling like they were repeating the same story moves over and over.
Not a bad year for me. Only two things I like were axed this May -Lucifer and Timeless. Annoying that they're still lingering in the "mostly dead" category.
