I watched HBO's The Third Day with Jude Law this week. Six hour miniseries.
It's divided into two parts: Summer and Winter, following two different but connected narratives on a very strange island.
I'm not sure how to describe this very unique show. Maybe "British Midsommar" is the best description but the narrative is better and the acting is really good. (I did not like Midsommar.)
Ultimately I'd call it convoluted nonsense. But it is very entertaining nonsense and especially the first three episodes about Jude Law are wonderfully trippy. HBO knows how to tell stories and do something visually appealing. Even if the story in the end is just dumb.
I would sort of recommend it to certain people who like surreal stuff. It's a mix of horror and family drama.

Having finished Witcher S2, dropped back into Titans S3 for e9 and 10. Episode 9 had me briefly worried they were going to bring back Hawk. That didn't happen, but the whole Purgatory section was a waste of time.
Episode 10 was much better, although I hope Blackfire isn't being 180'd again. I don't mind brief removal of heroes (or villains) powers for some character advancement, but dislike it when the changes are permanent or even just medium term. Good to see that Connor hasn't completed shelved his dark side. When Blackfire got shot, I was half convinced he was going to burn the GCPD building to the ground.

Re-watching BSG from the start including the 2-part miniseries that served as a prequel to the 4 Seasons of the Show. I really like Edward James Olmos in this role; to me he is like the Patrick Stewart/Capt Picard of BSG in terms of how an actor fits and fills the role of a character. Also, I think it's some of his very best acting work.
This time 'round I will endeavour to watch ALL of BSG....I stopped about 4.06, I think, and never did get back to it...But it's been nearly 2 years since I last watched it, I think, so I am going to pick it back up again. What got me started on it was remembering the line "Grab your gun and bring in the cat" so now I want to watch it all again.
