Cool! It took me a while to understand the "agent in need of help" request but now that I do I hope BioWare can give us such an option in freeplay Anthem. I played a little and didn't understand the "agent in need of help". I got the message several times, looked around and nothing. Maybe I missed a map queue?
The game lost connection for me just once in about hour and a half. Otherwise stable.
I felt a bit overwhelmed by everything. Never played the first game and all the items, skill windows, loot, etc was just a bit much. Slowly it felt into place and is not so scary now
The world looks impressive. Really gives you the feel of an apocalypse. Pretty graphics and the game runs quite smooth. I didn't wander too much because I wasn't sure I am geared for it and if I'll get lost in dangerous areas. I like how you have easy to follow navigation and clear goals. I liked the map layout, it was easy to figure out and navigate.
It seems I was not the only one intimidated by the game Met a player that was hiding desperately from 3 enemies and just doing a quick shot every few seconds before jumping back in cover. I walked to those 3 and gunned them down from almost point blank. Just to see what the fuss is all about
Not sure yet if it's my type of game, but if there is enough non-PvP content, I might get sold. Just not feeling like I will have fun in PvP in this game. Well I only tried it for about 90 minutes, but the overall impression is pretty positive.
When you get the "agent needs backup" you can open the map and there should marker for the agent requesting back-up. Press V to accept call and then you're transported to their instance and group up. I had to quit because the deltas. Get back after tomorrows maintenance. There usually is enough non-PVP but you cannot opt out off PVP in the Dark Zone.

Y'all got any of them friend invites by any chance? No worries if they're all gone, it's late into the 7th already. I only had 60h in the last game, so definitely give it to someone who is way more invested if you know someone.

Played a little yesterday. The Delta-3s were really annoying (had about 5 within 2.5 hours but I heard they fixed them in the update). Otherwise I really like what I see so far. I'd say in the basics, it plays almost exactly the same as Division 1 does (at least these days, I only know TD since a week ago, heard it was way worse early on) but there are a lot of improvements in the details. Washington definitely lloks nice. I don't know the city as well as NYC (only been there a couple of times) but from what I've seen so far again, it looks like a very faithful recreation. I was again a bit surprised how much they seem to keep to a fairly small portion of the city (looking at the entire map) but ok, it worked in TD1, so why not here. The streets look a little more interesting. Where NY was mostly purely urban street blocks, now that we are 5 months into the end of the world, everything looks more borken up by parts of nature asserting itself over the ciry, which looks really cool. There also esems to be more going on with the nPCs, I see more civilians out and now they can also fight the gangsters. I also really like that there are female gangsters now. It bothered me in TD1 that all oponents seemed to be male, that made no sense to me (kinda the antithesis to Battlefield V ). The symbols for items in the inventory also look better now, though the UI istself still seems a little messy. I also like what they did with story/Base of Operations progression, how it is intertwined now. Fortunately, they got rid of the horrible side mission givers from TD1 (which were an almost canonical Ubisoft screw-up). Now you help out civilian settlements, get side missions from different NPCs and if you help out enough, you get to recruit people that staff (and thus upgrade) your main base at the White House. Very nice. The missions themselves seem to follow the same basic principle as in the first game, which is to say, they are pretty linear levels with a bunch of wave shootouts and the occasional "hit a button". Definitely nothing special but hey, it works. One thing about the fight they thankfully improved is the time-to-kill/be-killed balance. Enemies seem to go down a little quicker than they did in TD1. In return, most of your life (which is now armor) does not regenerate in fights. I also got the feeling that weapons have a little more recoil and instability, so just rapid fire pumping an entire magazine into an enemies head is no longer as easy as in TD1. This is good because it feels a little closer to reality than TD1 did with it's massive bullet sponges. Also, boss enemies have armor that you can destroy, creating weak points. Hit those and even bosses can go down pretty quickly (at least that was the case for the one in the first mission for me). A nice mechanic that rewards precision over simple firepower. Didn't have time to check out the coop aspects or the dark zone yet, but in solo, I think it's a nice balance of bringing in improvements but keeping the overall feel of the first game. Not bad Ubi, you definitely raised my interest, that's for sure.

Thanks again correctamundo. Downloaded and installed, and got right in. I haven't had any kind of in-game crash, not sure what the deltas were, but I was in and playing just fine. I cannot, however, access any of the settings menu without it just crashing right to the desktop. No idea why that is, assume it'll be fixed later. It's been a while since I played the first game, but I just love wandering around the city... it's missing that solitary cold feeling of NYC in winter, but the slightly-overgrown worn down DC is really excellent. I immediately remember what I liked about the first one. Can't wait to find some kinda sniper, I loved sniping in the last game. I forgot to play with photo mode, but I will later. Thanks for the reminder on that 3y3vr3. I love these alleyways. Especially at night. I should go.

And yes, even though the snowy streets of NYC are sort of iconic I'm already loving the lush greens of mother nature taking DC back. You can get a Surplus SVD at the Demolition site I think. I don't recall what objective gave me the blueprint for long scope. I didnt have any Deltas at all yesterday. I did see some on Twitch though but way less than on first day. Yay maintenance and feedback. Today I will have to work some more with photomode. Tom Clancy's The Division 2_20190207_173604 by prmjb, on Flickr

Allrightfinished the Demo stuff and played the endgame mission. Dam, that was hard! I tried to solo it first but it turned out very quickly that I had no chance on my own. Called for backup and got a pretty decent random to join me. Together we managed to complete the mission but we had to revive each other VERY often. Was a good feeling to have done it in the end though. All in all, it was a pretty good experience. I'll definitely get the game eventually but probably not at release. I am still no through TD1 and I'll probably give it a bit of a rest between TD1 and 2. I also think the game will probably get even better with time. So maybe towards the end of the year? Something like that but I'll get it eventually for sure. Oh yea, Delta 3 disconnects were no problem anymore for me after the Friday morning update. Good show with Beta/Demo Ubisoft, you definitely did a lot better than Anthem with it.

Did anyone else get caught in a thunderstorm? The weather was fantastic... I also fell through some geometry and died, but that's okay. Happened in TD1 as well, I ended up stuck inside of a building - not the kind you're supposed to enter - it was kind of neat at first, then I realized I couldn't fast-travel out, because the game thought I was still engaged with some baddies. I ended up tossing a grenade at my feet in order to respawn back at a safehouse.
I never played TD1 for any of the end-game content, I just enjoyed wandering around the wasteland-like NYC, and judging by what I've seen in this TD2 demo, I'll be up for more of the same.
Is there anywhere you can enter the Metro system? I didn't find an entry, but I wasn't scouring around, looking.

As for the Metro, no, I can't remember finding an entry to that specifically but I did find two entries to the sewers, so there is some underground stuff.

Saw the storm while roaming dark zone. The mist, thunder and limited visibility fit the ambience there pretty well. We did find a Metro entrance near the first story mission location. But the underground area was out of beta boarder so we were teleported back once we went too far. I’m sure they’ll be open to exploration in official launch. Can’t believe there’ll be an open beta too from March 1st to March 4th. One week after Anthem’s official launch...This almost feels like intentional...

I did the survey, lot of questions, but one of them was "do you think {list of games} will impact your decision to purchase Division 2" Anthem was like the 3rd game on the list. I didn’t get the email but I already pre-ordered The Division 2 before private beta. I guess the survey is only for potential customers who might become interested in buying the game after trying out the beta? It’s been very interesting following the news/development of both Anthem and The Division 2 since last year. The Division 2 alpha test was exactly one week after the alpha test of Anthem. Then they have private beta one week after Anthem’s open demo. Now open beta one week after Anthem’s official release again...That’s extra pressure for Bioware on top of what they’ve already been under to have a smooth launch day. They definitely impacted my decision at least. But it’s the other way around. I’m still skeptical about Anthem after playing its alpha test and both vip/open demo. On contrast I was pretty much sold on The Division 2 right after its alpha last December. If their launch dates were not so close to each other, I could see myself playing both. But with the Division 2 coming 3 weeks later, I would rather hold off buying Anthem and wait for reviews. Maybe I’ll buy it later when it’s on sale, maybe I’ll just pass. I hope Anthem will turn out to be a pleasant surprise in both reception and sales though, for the sake of Dragon Age 4

Yea, I got that one, too. Won't join in that one though I'm afraid since I already uninstalled the beta. Sorry Ubi, gonna have to test without me. I'll probably finish TD1 during that time though.
Speaking of which, I finally got to lvl 30 last night and boy, item drop rates do change a lot at that point. I am not sure whether that's because of the Gold Edition stuff or whatnot but since the beginning, I had an exotic marksman rifle, called Heel in my storage, that had 233k DPS (about 6 times as much as my best rifle up to that point). Now that I finally could equip it, I ruled the streets of NY. Took me about an hour to get my gear score from 45 to just under 200. Didn't expect that. Anyway, tonight I'll do the only mission I got left from the main game (the UN one). Then I'll probably give it a pause and try Anthem (which I got for free, if I had to buy one, I would have chosen TD2 instead). Maybe I'll go back in a bit to do the western piers and the underground stuff. But with about 50 hours of playtime in so far, I feel like I already got more than my fair share of fun out of this one.

I did. Looks like it’s a random selection of players who participated in private beta so not everyone got invited. I’m planning to play a bit today and tomorrow just to see what changes they’ve made. Enjoyed replaying the 2 story missions on Hard difficulty using my level 7 character with crappy gear in private beta so that’s probably what I would do again in technical test. The frantic laughter of hyena girls is kinda addictive and after a while I feel it starts to rub off on me.

Do keep an eye open for another exotic marksman rifle Devil. It’s a lot of fun paired with Heel, especially on a sniper build. Also I highly recommend checking out Survival mode. It’s my favorite part of the game which me and my friends sank hundreds of hours in. It requires more time and rewards are less impressive than other shorter activities, but I consider it a must-try nonetheless, especially if you don’t care much about loot and just want to have fun/ to experience a different pace from main game.
