I finished the campaign for The Division the other day. Good game.
At times the game was repetitive going from one encounter to the next. What I found best is to be at least the same level, if not higher, when moving to another section of the city. It makes the fighting much easier. One thing I liked is at times I could be surrounded by enemies very quickly. I found myself at times running back a bit just so that I could keep the enemies in front. I like the variety of weapons that were availble. Throughout my playthrough I stuck with an assault weapon and sniper rifle. I rarely used the pistol. I really like the seeker mine, especially when modded and the turret. Both helped me out in tough situations. I like the exploring, passing by people hearing what they had to say and at times give them an item to help them out. The graphics look good.
The crafting I found wasn't that useful for me. It just has random stats added to the item that is crafted. Nearly everything I crafted, which wasn't much, was inferior to what I currently had except the armor rating. So I just stuck to purchasing equipment when I reached whatever level.
When I reached level 30, I was able to get much better equipmant. Once done, I was very overpowered.
I started a new character and noticed that the money the player had with the first character carries over to a new character. I went with a female character and noticed that to have her with a ponytail the player has to choose a certain preset look. I'm surprised its not available for all female presets.
A few things that I didn't like. To get in the dark zone, I had to be a playstation plus member. When a player send me an invitation, I would need to have playstation plus for that as well. The most irritating thing is the character her/himself. No voice at all. It felt really lame that he/she couldn't say yes, no, thank you, your welcome etc.
Overall I give the game a 7/10. I would recommend this game.
I did play the Division 2 beta. Enjoyed it. It's the reason why I got the first one. After playing the first game, I recognized a few improvements in the beta. Not sure when I will get the game, but I will sometime in the future.

Would I have needed to have played the first Division in order to understand Division 2? No, not really. The opening sequence of TD2 gives you a pretty decent overview of what's happening in the world, even if it's not really complete. There would be breadcrumbs and such that you might not pick up on right away, but it's not so story focused that you'll miss out on much.

I'm enjoying myself so far, but I could really do without the shaky cam though, it cuts down on how long I can play before the motion sickness kicks in. I don't remember D1 being anywhere near this shaky.

Would I have needed to have played the first Division in order to understand Division 2? Depending if you are in an urgent rush to play TD2, I'd suggest it wouldn't hurt to play TD1 (just the campaign and side missions to level up) before hand as its a good game and you'd go in with a fair of background you may otherwise miss. It will also help with getting a feel for the combat and how tactical situations play out etc. I can't remember how long it took me to solo the campaign in TD1 themikefest how long did it take you to complete the TD1 campaign recently?

Not sure how long it took since I died a lot. I would guess about 30-40 hours, give or take.

Though I have early access I won't have time to play Div 2 extensively till this weekend. Only 3-4 hours in and I'm glad there are even more details in the same starting missions of full game than those in beta. I'm most impressed by how meticulously the world is crafted and presented. Div 1 was great at environmental story telling, Div 2 just took it to the next level. Side missions and activities feel more diverse than their repetitive Div 1 counterparts and they are rewarding in a way that you can truly see the impact you made to post apocalypse D.C. by completing these quests. Tried a few skills like Assault drones, chemical launcher with firestarter mod, crusader shield. Since I'm still low level it's hard to gauge how effective these skills will be in endgame but they are all fun to use. Can't wait to do some silly/crazy skill combinations in teamplay like using 4 assault drones chasing a boss or 4 firestarter setting the whole map on fire. Stinger bees of Hive seems promising too. Overall I can see myself enjoying both solo exploration and co-op with others, for campaign at least. People are happy now for the relatively smooth launch, but as a looter-shooter the final verdict can't be reached until most players progress into endgame, probably in a month or so. Only level 5 but I'm already overwhelmed by what to do Found him near the entrance of Jefferson Trade Center Know what this is? Answer A few examples of how immersive the open world is The Immersion is IncredibleDon’t make the same mistake I did.Did you notice: the parking spot signals in Jefferson International Trade structure?See you in D.C. agents. Have fun saving the country.

Well did some more free roaming, took over a control point and did the first main mission at the Theatre. Tired to get a PUG group together at the starting point but nothing seemed to happen so did it solo which turned out fine. Rescued this kid With this agent (Kelso NPC) hope we get to do more with her. For this woman Recruited my first White House base of Operations helper, looks a bit like Naomi Ngata from The Expanse

So tried to match make for a main mission today by selecting match make at the start of the mission and literally waited for ages and not one player joined. Did the mission solo but I know its going to be more difficult later on and just wondering if anyone else playing has experienced this. Also has anyone joined a clan and has that worked for you?

Did the mission solo but I know its going to be more difficult later on and just wondering if anyone else playing has experienced this. Also has anyone joined a clan and has that worked for you? Haven’t tried matchmaking for story difficulty but I pugged a few Hard games in beta and the queue filled up pretty quick. I guess most people don’t matchmake for their first playthrough of campaign missions because if they do they can be dropped onto any phase of the mission then they won’t be able to experience the whole thing. Try the “ request backup” option if you need help on doing missions. I’ve read that people answer backup calls on story mission and it ended up being very pleasant experience. I myself love answering the call. It truly feels like you are in a network of secret agents who will cover each other when help is needed Yes I’m on PC with 2 characters at level 8 and level 9 now. When i’m not in a group playing with friends I uaually just do solo exploring so I can take it slow to fully immerse in the world as in a single player RPG. Would be happy to do main missions in co-op though since I think the missions themselves are most fun played in a group. Uplay id is ivy-_- Time zone is UTC -5 and I usually start playing after 9pm at night hopefully that time will work for you. as for clan...I don’t have plan to join any yet. If I decide to join one later I would prefer a small, close-knit group to a random big clan where I hardly know anyone. If enough BSNers are interested maybe we can just form a BSN clan or something.

Thanks for replying, yeah I enjoy the soloing of just about everything for the reasons you stated but there was one control point "The Demolition" that I couldn't get through after three attempts solo and tried calling for back-up but no one came. After letting the matchmaking queue at the Theatre mission I just decided to go it solo and it never got hard enough to worry about calling for back up. I have read that later on like after L20 it becomes really difficult to solo the main story missions like the Theatre so my main reason for doing it at the theatre was to try and find some like minded people to team up with later on. Will send you a friend request on Uplay feel free to ignore any invites,

I have read that later on like after L20 it becomes really difficult to solo the main story missions like the Theatre I guess that means it would be wise to have your character a level or two higher before starting any of those missions.

I have read that later on like after L20 it becomes really difficult to solo the main story missions like the Theatre I guess that means it would be wise to have your character a level or two higher before starting any of those missions. That's how I played TD1 and am playing TD2. I am already Level 5 in a level 2 - 4 area and haven't completed all the tasks there but apparently and I have seen some examples already. the enemy AI and their "toys" are very different to TD1. I watched a video and read some articles about TD2 and both commented that after L20 it becomes very hard to solo. In TD1 I was able with my L30 character to complete all the main, repeatable missions on the "Hard" setting solo but the "Challenging" setting was impossible for me as the difficulty included more and different enemies and they have a lot more toys like turrets, drones and remote control cars with bombs etc. That is what I watched /read re TD2 after L20 but who knows maybe th wirters/authours were just not that good. Having figured out the social/group settings now I was able to group up and free roam for a while yesterday just for fun, so will be able to group up for missions later on if necessary.

Personally think the difficulty has more or less been the same throughout with tbh a couple of the easiest missions i've done been after lvl 20 an all i've been doing is putting on highest weapon/armour that drops, plus i've not grouped up once. I have died numerous times but it always been my own eagerness/stupidity thats caused it IE out of cover running an gunning
Definitely going to be interesting once i actually start building my characters gear instead of just slapping it together.
Anyhow as i thought would happen im bloody addicted 😂😂

Anyhow as i thought would happen im bloody addicted 😂😂 <iframe width="23.96" height="4.25999999999999" id="MoatPxIOPT0_58417859" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 15px; top: -5px; width: 23.96px; height: 4.26px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="23.96" height="4.25999999999999" id="MoatPxIOPT0_71518636" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 1138px; top: -5px; width: 23.96px; height: 4.26px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="23.96" height="4.25999999999999" id="MoatPxIOPT0_38248461" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 153px; width: 23.96px; height: 4.26px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> <iframe width="23.96" height="4.25999999999999" id="MoatPxIOPT0_62559488" scrolling="no" style="border-style: none; left: 1138px; top: 153px; width: 23.96px; height: 4.26px; position: absolute; z-index: -9999;"></iframe> Well that's good to hear re the difficulty. I far more enjoy the campaign solo than grouping up. The only place I have had difficulty with the two times I attempted it was the control point called The Demolition", gave up and have left it for later but the others have been generally fine. Unless as you said I get cocky and try and run and gun rather than use cover tactically. I have been impressed with the volume of decent loot drops in terms of weapons and armour. Have even been sticking with lower level weapons sometimes though just out of preference for fully automatic, more stable and accurate AR's over the AK and Burst shot AR's. I died once yesterday inexplicably. Was trying to take a control point and had high ground and leaned over to shoot what I thought was the last remaining enemy and there was an explosion like a flashbang that killed me and I was at full health. Still no idea what happened!!!!! Yeah I am pretty hooked to and planned on doing 3 to 4 hrs today but feeling under the weather and I just get to cranky when I play tired and sick. Very frustrating.

Yeah i went through majority with Assault Rifle/Shotgun combo but would switch out the AR for a LMG if i got one good enough, there a heavy armoured boss encounter later lvls can be a pain with a AR due to mag size an boss mechanics, i say mechanics when all it is is fully plated heavy running like Usain Bolt at you to melee the living daylights from you, which he will do in about 2 hits if you dont take him down, i found a decent LMG with good mag size does the trick tbh. Mods you unlock aswell will basically let you get full stability on a weapon if desired but you'll be sacrificing other stats, some usefull an some not so. I'D also highly recommend Hive with Reviver as its essentially a free life
