Yeah i went through majority with Assault Rifle/Shotgun combo but would switch out the AR for a LMG if i got one good enough, there a heavy armoured boss encounter later lvls can be a pain with a AR due to mag size an boss mechanics, i say mechanics when all it is is fully plated heavy running like Usain Bolt at you to melee the living daylights from you, which he will do in about 2 hits if you dont take him down, i found a decent LMG with good mag size does the trick tbh. Mods you unlock aswell will basically let you get full stability on a weapon if desired but you'll be sacrificing other stats, some usefull an some not so. I'D also highly recommend Hive with Reviver as its essentially a free life I read on the net that there's a large mag you get for the AR on a mission at the "Justice Department" mission, have yet to see that mission though. Yeah have picked up some good SMG's and carry them as a 2nd weapon but have rarely had to use the 2nd weapon so far. By reviver do you mean an upgrade or Hive? I am using the drone and the upgrade for that drip feeds you a constant armour upgrade I believe. If you are soloing I heard reviver if its what I am thinking of is a bit useless as you respawn in the same spot and just get destroyed again anyway. Is that incorrect? Besides Hive what do you use? I really miss pulse from the first game and want to use it in TD2 but it has no bonus benefit I believe just highlights enemies. I am using the turret just as flank protection and find the drone really useful soloing.

I used chem launcher with heal and hive with reviver, yeah it revives you where you fell and there is times you'll revive just to die again but it has saved me more times than i can count from a run back or a bounty getting away.
I had used the Drone at the start an found it was good for distracting or flushing enemies out of cover an other than that i tried seeker for a wee bit, once i had chem launcher an hive i never much looked back though once im better geared i'll no doubt have a better look at what offensive options there are but if they dont last long enough in harder difficulties i prob stick to what i got an just depend on gun.
Well dinged 30 an did first stronghold an now it 8:05am i think i best try get a couple hours kip 😁👍

I am just about to hit six but yesterday only played an hour and I am a slow and steady (read ditherer) player. I spent time filling the needs of the Ctr Points I had libeated and finally took The Demolition one. Is the Meat Wagon Bounty hard?

All Open World content i personally feel is harder than the actual missions tbh when lvling an the bounties can be brutal, think i've failed more than i've completed. Contributing to tge control points was a must do for me for the bonus vision an great xp
Did the 2nd stronghold an it was like the first as in pretty easy so moved onto the third an it was a bit harder but no idea if i completed it as i killed last boss it told me to gotto courtyard an servers went down for maintenance 😂😂 i dont fancy going through it again solo so if it not complete i'll try gear abit more first before another attempt

I just get side tracked so easily!!!!!! That sucks re the server boot.

Yeah it never complete so i just matchmaked an it went by pretty fast tbh so now sitting on world tier 1.
I went in to world tier 1 with gear score of 257 just by playing normally as you are m8, i might try main missions only with another char but tbh i liked sorting one area out before moving on an randomly strolling looking for bags to ransack 😁
Anyhow i picked sharpshooter specialization an it gives a bonus to rifles so going to try my luck with one see how i get on

They were saying it is way OP'd for PVP ATM:

So, got as far as the Theater mission (level 3). There was a matchmaking screen for missions in D1 (not that I ever found anyone who wanted to matchmake, but that's another matter). Is there a trick to matchmaking with randoms in D2?

Well i feel like a fool, or atleast more foolish than normal, i was running around for ages last night an then today getting gear just to dismantle because i needed a item called printer fillament to upgrade the crafting bench an i must've dismantled atleast 200 items with no success, so i nigh gave up but noticed inventory was still nearly full yet all spaces said 1 or 2, well apart from one that for some reason my eye just never looked at which was the mods for gear an abilities an yip with over 60 items tgere i dismantled an lo n behold tons of printer fillament.
Someone slap this boy some sense sheesh

Is there a trick to matchmaking with randoms in D2? You can do it throught the "Social" tab I think when you hit escape on PC as well as what simit suggests. The main interface screen that has progression and character on it. Alternately start a mission and call for backup, although I tried that yesterday and someone came and left straight away!!!! I did the library mission and struggled big time with the end fight, died twice before finally beating the boss dude. My drone kept disappearing or doing nothing and then resetting, so I had to keep waiting for it to cooldown. Read last night it is a bug that Ubi are working on, thought it was just me being hopeless!!!!!

Not sure why but I never had problems being flanked in TD1 but in TD 2 I keep getting surprised by idiots hitting me with sticks.

Well if you only had a xbox m8 😁😁
The Open World will only get harder/more brutal as you lvl tbh, once you hit World Tier 1 it's all out war tbh.
I've seen myself go for a control point against say Outcasts then a True Sons patrol attacks then more outcasts spawn plus you can get a roaming boss joining in, all before your backup arrives 😂😂 it really is fun but can be frustrating, but each WT has a specific gear score lvl i think because as i do more activities in each thus gaining more an better lot i do feel myself getting more powerfull to point where am like ok next tier, so for me anyhow there very well designed.
Btw i'd really recommend not crafting a thing, you will need all the materials for upgrading the crafting bench everytime you advance a WT then will no doubt need quite a few mats to craft some stuff at WT4, reason i say that is a few of the objectives in the WT's want you handing in like X10 body armour, Rucksacks, Specific weapons etc so it cuts down dismantling materials

I have not crafted one item but have increased through perks my materials inventory because I was already full on some stuff, I remember in TD1 having to grind like all hell after hitting 30 for resources. Yeah I already have encountered one of those missions for the first settlement, do the later ones have level requirements for the gear you hand in because I have already been stashing gear for that purpose as well? I am already finding at level 7 that just the roaming squads can be brutal. Decided to escort a food party back to the control point for the fun of it and saw three Hyenas and ran in all gung-ho and within 10 seconds there were at least another 5 or 6 and I was within an inch of my life by the time I cleaned them up. Accidentally crossed into a higher level area, got one shot by a sniper instantly.

I like it though; enemies use tactics (I was playing like it was TD1 and ended up getting flanked), you can get yourself into a lot of trouble really quickly if your not careful, and sometimes running has been the best option. TD1 did not get that "can I handle this fight?" feeling like there was at the begging of the game until they added the World Tiers. This has a much better quick and chaotic feel to the firefights. I am enjoying it though, I'm on Xbox for anyone interested.

So more adventures in The Division 2 yesterday, took another control point, rescued a hostage, did a side mission to get some batteries and rescue a hostage, roamed around gathering resources for control points and helping civilian patrols with enemy attacks. Decided to finish up by doing a side mission at the MLK Library, hadn't had too much trouble with the other side missions but this one proved a bit of a challenge from the get go. Anyway fought my way to the rooftop for a boss fight and decided to call for back-up, was excited as another agent showed to help then just kicked themselves from the group so had to do it solo. Anyway long story short I died twice, I found the layout for my play style quite challenging and there were a couple of enemies with rocket grenade and then the big boss had some sort of flame grenade thing happening. My turret did its best to protect one flank but I kept getting blind sided on the other and my drone which shoots stuff and highlights enemies wasn't pulling its weight by not doing anything or disappearing. Later found out this is a bug that Ubi is working on. Anyway third time I found a better position and moved more and the drone hung around and kept the snipers who do massive damage off me and managed to complete the mission. Keep meaning to take pic's in combat but been too busy trying not to die!!!!!! Anyway some scenery Happened on this civilian just leaning against a tree playing the harmonica!!!!

Servers going down for maintenance, might be fix for that skill bug dazk hopefully
Got to WT3, forgot to mention i had swapped out the sniper specialization an been leveling the crossbow one just because it had bonus dmg passives for AR an Shotguns, needless to say i've been getting SMG, LMG an Rifles all night with not a AR in sight, not really bothered the now though as some of the LMG's an SMG's have been pretty good so they served well an if i get to WT4 without one i'll just craft that police M4 or whatever it called an that do to grind.

When are they going down? I just did a quick dip in and did a supply drop, god the loot is shit and bought a new gun. Have to head out for a while now. Hey with the matchmaking terminals can you choose the mission you want to do or are you just asking to matchmake with people to do missions? I started to matchmake in the missions TAB but it auto started saying "matchmaking", do I just wait and it will let me choose a mission or does it just group you and then you discuss what you are going to do? Did you watch that video I posted re the Sniper build? It's about mid way through. AR's seem to drop the least and they are my favourite. Can't wait to get to level 30 but think it will be a big grind solo for me.

Hopefully you don't end up in a similar situation to what I had over the last few days. I got a new PX4 at lvl 4; awesome I like those and it's better than what I have. I did not see another pistol either from a crate, drop, or in the shop, until I hit lvl 14.
