Pete Hines @dcdeacon Invites have gone out for the Bethesda E3 Showcase. Stay tuned for your chance to win tickets to join us at Bethesdaland on Sunday, June 11.
Neat "theme park" image in the shape of Tamriel. Note the 2 "under construction" areas - though we know there are 2 major games they are working on before the next ES. That said, I couldn't help but wonder if the "pardon our dust" sign might be a subtle ES hint, since it right around where Elsweyr would be on Tamriel's map. Not really holding on to much hope of that, but you never know...
Hopefully we'll get an announcement of one of their new games at E3 though. I'd love to see a SP Doom expansion or at least some hint Doom 2 is in the works.
If they have 2 new IP's, I'd really like one of them to be the same format as TES and FO. And it'd be cooler if it's set in the same universe as those two. Technically Bethesda has set themselves up, lore-wise, that the TES and FO universe can have infinite worlds. Time for a new addition!
As for the one that says "pardon our dust" or whatnot - is that going to be Wolfenstein? I'm not a fan of that series but it's as old as I am. I assume they're putting out a new one eventually - though technically that is not a new IP.
There was a new Wolfenstein game in 2014 called "The New Order". I've heard there was a sequel planned for it, so it should be on the list... somewhere. Bethesda did say they are working on 2 new "Skyrim-sized" projects before the next ES. Will they be brand new IPs? I'm not sure. Some seem to think they are, some are not-so-sure.

Oh jeez, you're right (about Wolfenstein). I keep getting "The New Order" title confused with "The Order: 1886." My brain is fried. (Lol, I was confused as to why people kept saying they *liked* The New Order. Now I get it. Shit. I'm under too much work-stress...).
I would absolutely jump out of my skin with glee if Beth made two Skyrim-sized RPG'S (of the same format) that are set in the same universe as TES and FO. It doesn't have to be Elder Scrolls, per say. I just love that format.
In the past, Beth has said these 2 new projects are "unlike anything" they've ever done before. I don't know what that implies - I hope it just implies the genre. Meaning, instead of post apocalyptic scifi and high medieval fantasy, it's.... something else. A space opera, maybe. Like that Saga comic book, or Star Trek. That would be sweet. Right up my alley, to be blunt.
Also, I'd love a giant open RPG of TES/FO format that is set in an ancient Japanese mythos. You can be samurai, ninja, shogun, etc. No idea how popular that would actually be, though.
Also, I still keep reading all these rumors about Elder Scrolls VR and multiplayer and that makes me throw up in my mouth just a little. Mainly the multiplayer rumor. Ugh. Single player games always top out the charts over MP. But MP is the flavor of the week. (And that flavor is "shit sandwich" my friends...)

Yeah, Pete Hines was the one who said that they have 2 new games first, so before that they're not even talking about TES. The "Starfield" IP is most ceirtanly one of them, some sort of space RPG thing apparently. The other IP we have no idea.

I don't think player voice acting would work in TES. Recording thousands of lines twice for a male and a female character is one thing... but what are you going to do about Orcs, Argonians, Khajiit, Dunmer? Record them ten times? As much as I'd like to have "full" dialogue so that my character design actually matters, I doubt it'd be a good idea.
Besides, one problem with voice acting is that it may not fit at all the look of your character, or the nature of the character you had in mind. Sometimes I think it's better to leave that to your imagination.
You could always go the older games' route and have Wes Johnson and Lynda Carter voice about 70 percent of the characters. That'd simplify everything.
Okay, we're close to E3 and all that shit, and the rumors are starting to fill the air. Just now one of the youtubers I'm subscribed to did a video about a bunch of rumors of supposed leaks from Bethesda. I'll leave the video down below if anyone wants to check it out, but I'll also do a TL;DR version here: Remember: R-U-M-O-R-S. Don't take any of this for granted, because it could very well be BS.
*Fallout 4 VR *Maybe they'll talk about Skyrim VR being on the works according to the leaks. *Starfield (the new IP). Space RPG thing pseudo connected in some loco way with Fallout and TES franchises. I dunno, it's weird. Take it as your classic Bethesda RPG, but in space. Different races are mentioned (duh). *They are working on a Game of Thrones game. That's... weird. Remember the magic word: rumor.
*TES VI Although, not sure if they'll talk about this. This rumors say it'll take place in Akavir, another continent within TES lore (remember the Akavirii, they have japanese culture basically). They talk about more settlement building (gods, why?), or colony building, and some other shit. It is mentioned very far in the line TES VII as a concept. They want this game to take place in the entire Tamriel continent, something that apparently will be possible with a future technology they're envisioning. It goes on like this for a little while. Again, you're free to check the video.
Remember, this could most ceirtanly be bullshit, but I felt like sharing this being BS or turning out to be true. Take it with a grain of salt.
Video: BTW, he tends to do anything Bethesda related, if there's any news, rumors, or whatever, he'll be doing a video about it.

Yeah, this strikes me as a mix of other rumors floating around out there and made-up stuff.
Bethesda turned down working on a Game of Thrones game to make Skyrim - and it went on to be it's biggest hit ever. There's no reason for Bethesda to take on a licensed property, especially in a genre they dominate with their own IP.

I personally think its a mix of real stuff and things that this "leaker" (that's actually how he called himself, a "leaker" ) made up. Fallout 4 VR is obviously true, maybe even Skyrim. But looking so forward in the line and talking about TESVII with a release date of 2030... ehhhhhh. There's a lot screaming bullcrap here and smells like that Survivor 21xx something HOAX that was done way before FO4 was announced. But I guess we'll find soon enough, Beth's conference is this Sunday.
RIP old BioWare - 1995-2016. I used to be a fan, now I'm just toxic.
I'm gonna go ahead and say 2020 if they teased it. But only true if Starfield is 2019, if not, then no way. Gonna wait for people to start speculating where that is. I suppose people who play ESO are more suited to speculate since they've seen more ES universe than the average sinlge player "peasant".

Yeah I am sure people are combing over this 30second clip for all the information they can find, honestly there really isn't much to see other than a coastal climate similar to the British Isles and what looks like a ruined Imperial fort, at the moment best guess would be High Rock but for all we know it could be anything.

I think with that teaser, it'll be easier to speculate which place it is not. It could quite literally be anywhere.

Mea culpa: not an ESO player but one of my first thoughts was whether the clip gives some clue as to where in Tamriel it will be...
Forget Jesus, the stars died so you could be here today...
Cool to confirm it I suppose, but why show it off without gameplay? Or even a story trailer?

So I guess this means they either have a working type for the new engine they've been talking about OR they've only been saying that to delay us. Also did anyone think those pillars/ruins resembled Ayleid structures?
I say it will be released for the next generation console. For now, I predict a 2021/22 Nov release

Even though this was announced it sounds even farther off than DA4 if I had to guess. Still excited though.
At this point, Elder Scrolls 6 could come out before DA4.
DA4 is stuck in development hell. And Bethesda isn't Square Enix or anything. They'll release the game after Starfield, which is probably coming in 2019 or 2020. So maybe TES 6 comes out in 2021.
DA4 got rebooted and it's doubtful that BioWare will put much effort into it until after Anthem is released at the beginning of 2019. Give it a 3 year development cycle afterwards and it'll come out in 2022. Of course, if they decide to rush it, that's a different story.
Stating the obvious probably since before you came to BSN.
The fact we got a view at all was shocking! Based on geography I believe we can eliminate argonian and elven homelands. My guess is also I predict 2019 announcement with 2020 late release date
I would be really curious to see what the da4 teams reaction was to the semi announcement. To say that none of the lead managers would have no reaction would be a lie. This is is a competition and the goal is to at a minimum to be in the conversation for top rpg and to sell as many widgets as possible . Would love to know if the phone rang and an ea executive asked the lead of da4 “ how we looking compared to them”. There has to be a long term future plan after anthem
