I remember a book I was waiting for was delayed a few months because the people in charge couldn't decide on the cover to use for it (which in turn caused a shift on the printing schedule). There is more to books than just the writing. At this point, if they do release in November, it will be 16 months late. That's not just a few months. I'm sure there must be something going on behind the scenes that we're not aware of. |

Tbh, the only way to find out anything is for lots of people to pester Casey, Mac, the Bioware account, etc. on twitter until someone answers. The problem is, that there aren't enough people who use twitter who are interested in knowing. |

There was an original delay for editing/rewrites* I believe, but that doesn't mean all the delays were for the same thing. This last delay looks to be for marketing reasons. *note that rewrites doesn't mean changing what the books is about, it can just be correcting errors or the flow of the story, but editing turn-over is slow when the person doing it is from the game company. Obsidian had a similar issue of delays with the Pillar of Eternity novella and it wasn't even printed. |

N7Pathfinder, Kathryn Valente hasn't tweeted about the delay. Bioware hasn't tweeted about the delay. Titan Books (the publisher) hasn't tweeted anything about the delay. Who else could I check?

So the book gets delayed again to right before N7 Day, two weeks after Bioware releases a blog where they say "And yes – we hear loud and clear the interest in BioWare doing more Dragon Age and Mass Effect, so rest assured that we have some teams hidden away working on some secret stuff that I think you’ll really like – we’re just not ready to talk about any of it for a little while…" There are still fans who care about the game. |
